- "Here's my jump speeder, which hasn't been working right since I cleaned the repulsorlift coil. Aren't you supposed to clean it?"
- ―Ezra Bridger in his private journal
The Undicur-class jumpspeeder, also referred to as the Jedi jumpspeeder, was a speeder bike manufactured by Kuat Vehicles. Though designed as an emergency craft for the Jedi Order and regional military patrols, the design proved popular with civilians after the Clone Wars.[1] Several were used by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, and Padawan Ahsoka Tano during the mission to Mortis.[2] One was later used by Sabine Wren four years before the Battle of Yavin on the Outer Rim planet Lothal.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
The Undicur-class jumpspeeder was based on a vehicle concept by Joe Johnston[5] for Return of the Jedi. It first appeared in "Ghosts of Mortis," the seventeenth episode of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series, which aired on February 11, 2011.[6]
It was first named as the Undicur-class jumpspeeder in the 2014 reference book Star Wars Rebels: Head to Head, authored by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the name was first given in Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Incredible Vehicles, a 2011 reference book written by Jason Fry.[7]
