A Cathar Jedi was a male who served the Jedi Order[1] during an era when Sith assassins were active in the galaxy. At some point during that era, the Jedi engaged one of those assassins in combat; during the skirmish, the Cathar used the Force to pull the Sith assassin toward him. The Cathar Jedi had white fur and yellow eyes, and wore brown Jedi robes. As a Jedi, the Cathar was sensitive to the Force, and during battle he used a lightsaber with a blue crystal, a crossguard and a red ribbon tied to the pommel of the weapon's hilt.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Cathar Jedi appeared in an image created for the Jedi Academy Training Manual, a resource guide for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game. The image was used to demonstrate a Force technique called "Draw Closer."

  2. The Sith assassin pictured in the source wears the garb of the sect led by Darth Sion during the First Jedi Purge. The Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide establishes that these Sith assassins were founded by Darth Revan, and the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic makes it clear that the Sith were all but eradicated by the time of the return of the reconstituted Sith Empire in 3681 BBY. Thus, the Sith assassin and his Cathar opponent must have lived sometime during that timeframe.
