- "We're Death Watch and we're here to rescue you."
- ―The soldier to a Mandalorian Police Force member
In 20 BBY, a soldier was a human male member of a group of Mandalorians seeking to return to ways of violence and war known as the Death Watch. This particular soldier took part in a mission to Jabba's Palace and the Takeover of Mandalore, among many of his fellow Mandalorians.[2] After Pre Vizsla's death, this soldier welcomed Darth Maul as the new Ruler of Mandalore[3] but later defected to the Mandalore resistance led by Nite Owls leader Bo-Katan Kryze. He helped Obi-Wan Kenobi escape Maul's men so the Kenobi could inform the Galactic Republic of what had happened.[1]
This Death Watch soldier also had a position of rank during his time in Death Watch, as he sported the Death Watch rank insignia on his shoulder pads.[2]
Behind the scenes
This Death Watch warrior first appeared in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series episode, Eminence, which was released in 2013. The Mandalorian was voiced by Dave Filoni, and credited as an enforcer.[2]
During a scene where the soldier helps a Quarren to his feet, another soldier using what appears to be the exact same model can be seen conversing with Bo-Katan Kryze.[2]
