- "Oh, by the way, a former Imperial Navy lieutenant you had court-martialed is about to release a memoir."
- ―Wynn Dorvan to Natasi Daala
A lieutenant served the Galactic Empire in the Imperial Navy, but was court-martialed by Admiral Natasi Daala. During the time following the Second Galactic Civil War, the former lieutenant compiled a memoir entitled Into the Maw: Black Holes, Egos, and Other Forces that Devour Lives. The memoir focused on Daala—who had since become the Chief of State of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances—and was set to be released[1] around 44 ABY,[2] coinciding with the time that Daala's public approval ratings began to decline. Shortly before it was released, the Chief of State's aide, Wynn Dorvan, learned about the ex-lieutenant's memoir and informed Daala of it.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Imperial lieutenant was mentioned in Aaron Allston's Fate of the Jedi: Backlash, the fourth novel in the 9-part Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi series, released in 2010.[1]
