- "I learned that a high-ranking Imperial officer had decided he also liked the fruit. He insisted that all available quantities go to him and his cronies."
- ―Mon Mothma on the Imperial officer
A human male was a high-ranking officer in the Galactic Empire. He took a liking to the taste of the rare watervine peach, known for its sweet but slightly salty taste.[1] Years prior to 3 ABY,[2] the Imperial officer ordered that all quantities of the peach be directed to him and his allies. The locals of the region on the homeworld of the watervine refused to comply with the order. The officer, then deployed flametroopers to destroy the orchards that grow the watervine peach. With none of the watervine fruit left in the galaxy, the Imperial officer faced no penalty for his actions.[1]
Imperial senator Mon Mothma, who also enjoyed the peach, learned of what the officer had done, believing that the peach represented the Empire taking another choice away from the galaxy.[1]
