A male individual worked as an Imperial scientist. He was part of a mission to the planet Ilum^[2] in the Unknown Regions^[3] around 7 BBY.^[1] Three months later, he served aboard a CCR-class pinnace during a scouting mission to remote planets in the Western Reaches. When Saw Gerrera's Partisans boarded the vessel using clearance codes created by Jyn Erso, the scientist confronted Jyn, who was reluctant to shoot him. He was killed by another Partisan member, Jari.^[2]
