"The Knight who referred your son to Dantooine was correct, Madam. Zayne has a marginal proclivity for the Force."
Jedi Master Vandar Tokare, to Reiva Carrick[1]

A Jedi Knight referred the young Human Zayne Carrick to the Jedi Enclave on the planet Dantooine[1] in 3977 BBY[2]. The Jedi Knight said that Carrick had "marginal" aptitude for the Force, an assertion supported by Jedi Master Vandar Tokare.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Jedi Knight was briefly mentioned in a flashback on the first page of the second issue of the Knights of the Old Republic comic series, written by John Jackson Miller[1] and released on February 22, 2006.[3]

  2. The Knights of the Old Republic Handbook states that Zayne Carrick had just turned five when he was brought to Dantooine, and that he spent his 19th birthday in the brig. The latter is shown in issues 15 and 17 of the Knights of the Old Republic series, both of which take place in 3963 BBY. From that, it can be calculated that Carrick was brought to Dantooine 14 years before being in the brig, which would be in 3977 BBY.
