A Kuati senator served as the Galactic Republic senator for their homeworld,^[1] the Core Worlds planet^[2] Kuat, in 34 BBY. During a session of the Galactic Senate which involved a discussion on the subject of raising a military, another individual stated that the Core Worlds should pay taxes for raising a military force instead of the outlying star systems. The Kuati senator replied that the Core Worlds did not need a military force as the Core Worlds could peacefully coexist.^[1]
