A Neimoidian Technician was employed by the Trade Federation to reactivate a stolen Droid control program during the Invasion of Naboo.
Biography
During the Trade Federation Droid Army's Blockade of Naboo in 32 BBY, the Technician was dispatched by Viceroy Nute Gunray to retrieve and reactivate a Droid control program, which had been stolen by Naboo soldiers, leaving hundreds of B1 battle droids useless. Under the command of OOM-9, a strike force retrieved the program from a Security Force Research Center and returned it to the Technician, who reactivated it. This allowed the army to attack the nearby city of Harte Secur.
Behind the Scenes
The Technician appears only in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and its expansion in the second level of the OOM-9 campaign. The Technician is required to be kept alive during the level or the player will fail the mission.
