A Nightbrother village was a village on the planet Dathomir, where Viscus' clan of the Dathomirian Zabrak warrior group, the Nightbrothers, and their domesticated bane back spiders lived and trained.

Description[]

It was built into the Upper Strangled Cliffs. Homes were carved into the side of the rock walls and cages hung from the ceiling. Beneath the village was a dungeon used by the Nightbrothers.[2]

History[]

The destruction of the Nightbrother's prior village.

In 19 BBY,[1] the Nightbrother's prior village was destroyed by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Second Battle of Dathomir.[3]

During Order 66, the Nightbrothers witnessed the ship of Jedi Master Taron Malicos crash in the Swamp of Sacrifice, and they informed Nightsister Merrin that the Jedi survived. Nightbrothers in the village became tired of waiting for Merrin's instructions, and they eventually went to the swamp and brought him to Brother Viscus. Malicos killed Viscus and led the Nightbrothers. Malicos had become allied with Merrin, promising vengeance for the massacre of her sisters,[2] in 20 BBY.[4]

In 14 BBY,[5] the Jedi Padawan Cal Kestis was knocked into the depths of Dathomir by a Nightbrother using a large rock on the Treacherous Approach. Kestis traveled through the wilderness of Dathomir attempting to find his way back to the surface and reach the Tomb of Kujet, a Zeffo palace on the planet that served as the burial site of the Zeffo Sage Kujet. Kestis eventually found himself at the village, passing through and continuing his journey.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

The Nightbrother village appeared in the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, published by Respawn Entertainment.[2]
