"The peace talks have hit a roadbump. The Plinovian ambassador has exploded."
"He was blown up?"
"No, he did it himself."
Rael Averross and Qui-Gon Jinn[2]

A Plinovian ambassador represented his species in negotiations with the Solodoe regarding the terraforming of the planet Plin Minor. When the Jedi diplomat Arath Tarrex stole the seal of office of Ketas, the Solodoe ambassador, Ketas accused the Plinovian of the theft. The Plinovian ambassador was angered by the accusation, and self-combusted in an explosion that almost killed Ketas.[2]

Notes and references[]

  1. Dooku: Jedi Lost gives Dooku's age as around seventeen years old during the solar storm on Protobranch. Star Wars: Timelines places Dooku's birth in 102 BBY, meaning that the solar storm must have occurred sometime around 85 BBY. The events on Station Zeta take place some time later, while Qui-Gon Jinn is the Padawan of Dooku. The novel Master & Apprentice, which shows Jinn having spent four years with his own Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, is set around seventeen years after Kenobi's birth, which Star Wars: Card Trader Set: Base Series 1, Card: Obi-Wan Kenobi - Padawan places before the Battle of Yavin, set in 0 BBY by Star Wars: Galactic Atlas. This places Master & Apprentice in 40 BBY, and Kenobi's appointment as Jinn's Padawan to 44 BBY. Since the events on Station Zeta occur before Kenobi becomes Jinn's Padawan, they must be before that year.
