A Podracing course existed within a large city somewhere in the galaxy. The track consisted of a long winding road that twisted through numerous tightly packed buildings. The course was a part of the 24 BBY Podracing season. During one race on the course, the Devlikk Podracer Wan Sandage Jr. found himself about to be smashed in-between the racers of the Ghishi Kraid Nemmeso and the Glymphid Aldar Beedo. As the two pilots made their move to crush Sandage, the crafty Devlikk abruptly slammed the brakes on his TurboDyne 99-U Podracer, causing his attackers to careen into each other, and obliterate their pods. After the collision, Sandage continued the race unscathed from the explosive event.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

This course first appeared in the 2002 video game Star Wars: Racer Revenge. The course and the event mentioned only appear in the game's opening cutscene, and does not appear anywhere else in the game. However, when looking through the game's files, information can be found indicating that the planet Coruscant,[1] a world covered in cities[2] like the one scene in the cutscene, was originally planned as a location but was cut.[1]
