During the war between the First Order and the Resistance, a battalion of First Order TIE starfighters was active onboard the Thunderer, the Star Destroyer of Agent Tierny and Commander Pyre. Shortly after the Battle of D'Qar, a squadron from the TIE battalion was deployed in a skirmish over D'Qar against the Resistance cell Team Colossus and the Warbird gang.
