A Toydarian worked as a cook for the Hutt Devirsivik Clan in their palace on the planet Nal Hutta during the High Republic Era. Churo, a young member of the clan, often told the cook—who he considered to be messy—that he was a vegetarian.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] despite what Churo had told the cook, they served him fried worrt and crucrarocha beetle salad with his green juice for breakfast. Churo's father made him finish the meal and he was mocked by his cousins. Later that day, Churo recalled his frustration with the cook.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The Toydarian cook was mentioned in the 2024 junior novel The High Republic: Beware the Nameless, written by Zoraida Córdova and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[3]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. The implementation of the Guardian Protocols, which Star Wars: The High Republic Character Encyclopedia places in 229 BBY, took place one week after Starlight Beacon's fall according to The High Republic – Shadows of Starlight 1. As The High Republic: Beware the Nameless takes place one and a half years after the destruction of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY.
