On the planet Umbara, the native Umbarans maintained an airbase that served as a supply line to the planet's capital. During the Battle of Umbara, the 501st Legion commanded by Jedi General Pong Krell took over the airbase after clone troopers Hardcase and Fives were able to obtain Umbaran starfighters and clear the Republic's path to the airbase. It then served as the command center for 501st Legion.

After Fives, Jesse and Hardcase took starfighters to destroy a Supply ship, Fives and Jesse were held prisoner in the prison cells by General Krell for disobeying his command.

Krell was executed here after it was discovered he was sabotaging the Republic's efforts on Umbara.
