"We had one of the bomb conspirators in our grasp today, but before I managed to question her, she was poisoned. She was under guard the entire time. I don't see how an assassin was able to get to her so quickly."
―Ta'a Chume[1]

In 23 ABY, an assassin poisoned a bomb conspirator on the world of Hapes. The conspirator had taken part in the attempt to assassinate the Hapan matriarch, Ta'a Chume, and her granddaughter, Tenel Ka, by bombing the residence of the Queen Mother of Hapes, Fountain Palace. However, no one was killed by the bomb, and the conspirator was caught. She was then put under guard and poisoned by the assassin before she could be questioned.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The assassin was mentioned in the young reader's novel Young Jedi Knights: Lightsabers by Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta, which was published in 1996.[1]
