"Hey, that's the same drink Bren-Nevin Rordan orders—you know, from the northwest shop area. He always comes in, buys one and says 'I've got your package' as he drinks it. That will be 2 credits."
―The bartender, covertly informing a group of Bren-Nevin Rordan's whereabouts[1]

A bartender worked at the SaSassis Bar, a bar on the planet Kirima in Verena City's Verena Starport,[1] around 6 ABY.[2] At some point, they became associated with the New Republic Intelligence Service. The bartender was seedy looking.[1]

While working at the bar, the bartender encountered a group of travelers attempting to smuggle a modular command circuit to New Republic Intelligence Service agent Bren-Nevin Rordan. When given the correct code—a request for a Corellian Twister with "no twist"—the bartender informed the group of Rordan's location through code, stating he was at Rordan's Galactic Exotic Art in the city's northwest shop area. Continuing the guise of actually serving the requested beverage, the bartender charged the group two credits.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The bartender was created by Richard Clark, Barbara Clark, and Janelle Keberle and introduced in "Den of Spies," an adventure in Twin Stars of Kira, a 1993 supplement to West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. Players have the chance of never meeting the bartender, with the gamemaster being given the opportunity to deem their actions upon arriving on Kirima "stupid," resulting in the party's apprehension by New Republic Customs.[1]
