- "I had fully intended to make a stop on Skako durin' my tour of the Core, but that was before I realized I was gonna need some sorta special suit to survive in their high-pressure, methane-based atmosphere. Since they don't make those things in my size, I had to scuttle my plans and settle for orderin' up this traditional Skakoan beverage in a cantina on Brentaal IV instead."
- ―Strono Tuggs, The Ultimate Cookbook
A cantina on[1] the planet[2] Brentaal IV served the pressurized Skakoan beverage known as the Skako Cooler.[1] During a culinary tour of the galaxy that he took[1] between 34 ABY and 35 ABY,[3] the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs intended to visit the Skakoan homeworld Skako to try their food, but abandoned that plan upon learning that he would need an atmospheric suit to survive the high-pressure methane atmosphere. Instead, he ordered the Skako Cooler from the cantina on Brentaal IV and mentioned the establishment as part of the recipe for the drink that he included in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook,[1] which was published in 35 ABY.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
The cantina was mentioned in the 2023 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook, a recipe book written by Jenn Fujikawa and Marc Sumerak.[3]

- ↑ 3.0 3.1 3.2 Star Wars: The Ultimate Cookbook establishes that the publishing of the in-universe The Ultimate Cookbook and the culinary tour that preceded it occurred following the publishing of The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook and prior to the destruction of Kijimi. It also establishes that The Ultimate Cookbook was published following the Festival of the Ancestors that occurred during that time period. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook further establishes that The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook was published concurrently with the First Order's search for the Resistance base on Batuu, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 34 ABY. In addition, Timelines dates the Festival of the Ancestors and the destruction of Kijimi to 35 ABY, meaning the tour must have taken place between 34 ABY and 35 ABY and The Ultimate Cookbook must have been published in 35 ABY.
