- "My deputy minister of trade, perishable goods, was in a suite above mine. I shot her in the foot while she was entertaining a guest."
- ―Jagged Fel
A female individual served as deputy minister of trade for the Imperial Remnant[1] in 43 ABY,[2] and was responsible for perishable goods. That year, she was stationed at the Galactic Empire Embassy on the planet Coruscant. On one occasion, she was entertaining a guest in one of the embassy's rooms, when a blaster shot breached the floor of the apartment and hit her in the foot, causing her to scream and curse.[1]
The shot had been fired from the quarters below by Imperial Head of State Jagged Fel, who was fending off a kidnapping attempt and was trying to trigger the building's alarm. The shots did attract help, and the attempted kidnapping failed as a result.[1]
Behind the scenes
This deputy minister of trade was first mentioned in the 2009 novel Fate of the Jedi: Backlash, the fourth book in the Fate of the Jedi series, written by Aaron Allston.[1]
