"And they're off! Mon Gazza Maze qualifier race number one has begun!"
―The droid commentator[src]

A blue protocol droid worked as a Podrace commentator around 22 BBY. The droid operated out of the circuits on the Mid Rim planet of Mon Gazza, and commentated on the Mon Gazza Maze event on its qualifier races. The droid was known to get excited as races drew to a close, and reminded pedestrians to not walk onto the track during a race. The droid had a comlink attachment augmented on his cranial unit.[1]

Behind the scenes

The droid was created by Henry Gilroy and appeared in the 2008 graphic novella The Clone Wars: Crash Course, where it was illustrated by Matthew and Shawn Fillbach and colored by Ronda Pattison. Despite having lines throughout the comic, the droid only appeared in a single panel.[1]
