In approximately 3900 BBY,[2] a famous Jedi Master blessed an expedition of three starships—Beneficent Tasia, Constant, and Mother Vima—departing from the planet Grizmallt to the galaxy's dangerous southern quadrant. The expedition was sponsored by Grizmallt's Queen Elsinoré den Tasia[1] and carried Human Grizmallti refugees from a civil war on Grizmallt. The refugees[3] eventually landed on the planet Naboo and colonized it.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The famous Jedi Master was mentioned in the Royal Naboo DataBank entry in the 2001 LucasArts video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. The ship Mother Vima, which was named Mother Sunrider in the game's French edition, shares part of its name[1] with Vima Sunrider, a character who was introduced in the third issue of the Tales of the Jedi comic-book series, which was written by Tom Veitch[4] and published on December 21, 1993.[5] In-universe, Sunrider was active in the century prior to the expedition from Grizmallt and regarded as one of the greatest Jedi of her age.[6]
