A female Inquisitor was on Dathomir some years after the Formation of the Galactic Empire. There, she discovered Jerserra, a teenaged Dathomirian witch, and a member of the Nardithi Nightsisters. She then took Jerserra as an apprentice, to train her secretly as an Inquisitor to use against the other Inquisitors. After being trained for some years, Jerserra eventually grew impatient and believed that she could defeat her master, and killed her with her master's own lightsaber, taking it for her own, and becoming a mercenary.

Biography[]

Service as an Inquisitor[]

The individual who became an Inquisitor was a former Jedi[3] and was eventually recruited to become an Inquisitor. The Inquisitor served for some years[2] as an Inquisitor after the formation of the Galactic Empire, serving as an extension of Darth Sidious' and Darth Vader's will. Her and the other Inquisitors' objectives were to kill or turn to the dark side Jedi who had survived Order 66, as well as to track down young Force-sensitives.[5] She eventually traveled to Dathomir.[2]

Training Jerserra and death[]

On Dathomir, the Inquisitor discovered Jerserra, took her from Dathomir, and trained her with the intent to use her as a weapon against the other Inquisitors. She taught Jerserra secrets of the Force, as well as lightsaber combat. They also spent much time studying a shard of the Nardithi Cluster, which Jerserra had taken before their departure from Dathomir. Eventually, Jerserra became confident that she could defeat her master, and killed her with her own lightsaber, which she then took for her own. Jerserra then went on to use the skills her master had taught her, as well as her newly acquired lightsaber, to become a mercenary.[2]

Powers and abilities[]

The Inquisitor was Force-sensitive, and was powerful enough to have been recruited to be an Inquisitor. She had also been through Jedi training, as well as training to be an Inquisitor. She was proficient in lightsaber combat and knew many secrets of the Force,[2] enough to teach Jerserra for several years.[2]

Equipment[]

Jerserra wielding her master's double-bladed spinning lightsaber

The Inquisitor, like most[6] of the other Inquisitors, was equipped with a double-bladed spinning lightsaber. Like the Seventh Sister's lightsaber, it included small, triangular blades on its spinning emitter ring, which could serve as a weapon or intimidation tool, though the Inquisitor's lightsaber had four blades instead of two.[2]

Notes and references[]

  1. She discovered Jerserra plural "years" (meaning more than one year) after the Battle of Dathomir, which took place in 20 BBY, as stated in Ghosts of Dathomir. Therefore, the events occurred during or after 18 BBY, two years after. We also know that the events of Ghosts of Dathomir took place during the reign of the Empire, as stated as much, so before or during 5 ABY.
