In 34 BBY, an individual was present in the Senate Rotunda on the planet Coruscant during a session of the Galactic Senate, where they were seated below the planet Naboo's Senator Palpatine. When Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum of the Galactic Republic stated that the taxes required to create a military force would place too much of a burden on the outlying star systems and thus lead to talks of secession, the individual shouted that the Core Worlds should pay instead. In response, the Kuati senator said that the Core Worlds did not have a need for a military force as those in the Core lived in peace with one another.^[1]
