After the Defense of Rishi Station, a medal was awarded to the surviving members of Domino Squad. Despite having "failed" the mission, Commander Cody argued that they had still proved valuable because without them, the Republic would not have learned of the coming Separatist invasion of Kamino until it was too late. Therefore the clone troopers Echo and Fives both received medals, not only to recognize their bravery, but also to honor the sacrifice of their comrades. Captain Rex remarked that they were no longer "shinies" and thereafter they were welcomed into the 501st Legion.^[1]
