When former Togruta Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano returned to the 501st Legion to request assistance in capturing the former Sith apprentice Maul on Mandalore, a platoon repainted their helmets in honor of the former Jedi. They were later present in a hangar when Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and Tano entered.[1]

The platoon first appeared in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars episode "Old Friends Not Forgotten." It was confirmed to be a platoon by the descriptive audio on Disney+.[1]
