A power droid belonging to a Sullustan male teahouse shopkeep on Genbara led to a meeting with the Ronin when the temperamental GNK-series power droid had sprung a leak. The Ronin repaired the droid and then drank tea that was heated on the power droid. After Kouru's bandit group attacked the village below the teahouse, the power droid wore sandals as it ran with the shopkeep to thank the Ronin.
Biography[]
A GNK-series power droid[2] belonged to a Sullustan male shopkeep who had a teahouse in a village on the planet Genbara. The shopkeep regarded his rectangular-shaped power droid as having a temperamental nature. One evening, the droid had sprung a leak and the shopkeep attempted to repair it. Although the shopkeep had prior wartime experience in repairing astromech droids, he had never learned how to do so for a power droid; as such, he found himself helpless to fix the power droid when it stopped warming his tea. The wanderer known only as the Ronin was walking with his own astromech droid, B5-56, when he smelled the power droid's leak from the road outside the teahouse. The pair entered the teahouse and the Ronin offered his talents in repairing the power droid. B5-56 told the shopkeep that the Ronin would accept food as payment, the shopkeep agreed. Within an hour, the Ronin had the power droid's leak fixed using parts that were salvaged from the shopkeep's ancient holoprojector. The shopkeep steeped a pot of a local pine-based tea blend on his humming power droid, then expertly poured a cup for the Ronin to drink.[1]
The Sith known as Kouru and her bandit group attacked the village as the Ronin drank tea. A blaster bolt repelled with her lightsaber parasol wrecked the teahouse, knocked over the teakettle, and damaged B5-56. The Ronin told the shopkeep to have his partner repaired by the time the water had boiled[1] in the teakettle that he placed on top of the power droid. As the shopkeep carried out the repairs on B5-56, the power droid's cabling was connected to the other droid until the kettle whistled and the Ronin summoned B5-56. The power droid's cabling was torn free with B5-56's flight. When the Ronin returned from dueling Kouru, the shopkeep ran to speak to the village's savior as his power droid bounced behind him.[1]
Equipment[]
On its flat top, the power droid had a rectangular set of equipment used in tea preparation. A burner boiled the water in teakettles, and it held other tea-making accessories. When the power droid and the shopkeep hurried into the village, the power droid carried a tall bamboo pole and wore sandals and a bandolier.[2]
