A spider-like creature lived in the jungles of the planet D'Qar.[1]
Biology and appearance[]
The main part of the creature's body was purple in color, from where extended eight legs and two mandibles. On top of this part stood a large head with five separate eyes, which were able to move around freely in their space. The head was encased in a transparent cover. A pink web-like substance could be produced from the creature's head, which could pass through the transparent cover in order to be thrown at the beast's prey. The substance was sticky and could stop the prey from moving.[1]
In size, the creature was much larger than the droid BB-8, who measured 0.67 meters.[2]
History[]
In 34 ABY, the Resistance droid BB-8 managed to get lost in D'Qar's jungle, where it eventually ended up caught by this creature's web. The creature then transported BB-8 to place him in a web hanging between two tall trees, where a smaller shape-shifting creature was already hung.[1] After BB-8 and the smaller creature were rescued, they turned against this creature and incapacitated it.[3]
