The University of Byblos was a prestigious college based in one of the city towers of Byblos. It was one of the most respected institutions of learning in the Colonies and had a great variety of departments, including advanced hyperspace theories, alien languages, and intergalactic archaeology. During the time of the Galactic Civil War, the number of students enrolled at the university was about two million. There were also approximately 100,000 professors on staff.
