Occupation of the Kesh Capitol Building Edit

Hello, Andykatib. Can you tell me whether the title of this article is conjectural? Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 17:55, March 1, 2014 (UTC)

Earthcote Edit

Hy Andy. Could you please confirm whether the correct spelling is "Earthcote" or "Eathcote"? The map provided uses the latter spelling. If the typo is only in the map, then it's worthy of an explanation in a Behind the scenes section. Cheers. Stake black msg 21:46, April 7, 2014 (UTC)

Oswaft in Geonosis & Outer Rim WorldsEdit

Hi. A long time ago, when you went by MyNz, you edited the page Oswaft (July 5, 2006; 20:47) and added Geonosis and the Outer Rim Worlds to the sources. I've been looking for a reference to the Oswaft species in that book, but I cannot find it. It's a long shot but, do you remember where's the explicit reference to the Oswaft in it? Thank you for your time, --Skippy Farlstendoiro (talk) 20:36, September 2, 2014 (UTC)

  • OK, cool. I must be confused or there must have been some typo somewhere because reading [[1]] I thought it had been you. I'll consider the issue closed and we soon edit Geonosis off the Oswaft sources. Thanks again, -Skippy Farlstendoiro (talk) 19:04, September 3, 2014 (UTC)

WOTM Edit

Hey Andykatib, since it looks like you'll be WOTM for March, I was wondering if you would be interested in doing an interview. Thanks, Supreme Emperor (talk) 15:11, February 21, 2015 (UTC)

WOTM Edit

Hey Andykatib, congratulations. You are the Wookieepedian of the Month for March. I'll definitely get those questions to you tomorrow night. Keep up the great work. Supreme Emperor (talk) 03:57, March 5, 2015 (UTC)

Re: ApologiesEdit

You may also want to go back over The Phantom Menace, as most of what you had added from that movie was copied/pasted from the Legends article as well, not written in your own words based on the source material. Trip391 (talk) 01:44, October 17, 2015 (UTC)

Zare LeonisEdit

Say, I noticed that a while back, you added the information on the Zare Leonis page about Edge of the Galaxy. You may have noticed that I've been working on the page for a while now. I'm nearly finished up with adding the info on The Secret Academy, but the information from Rebel in the Ranks still needs to be added pretty much in entirety. I was wondering if you might be interested in splitting up that task. I also wouldn't mind having someone like you who's familiar with the subject matter read over what I've written and tighten up anything that's unclear, could be better written, or shortened for brevity. I've tried to keep things reasonably compact, but with so much material, I wonder if I may have been a bit excessively detailed in places. Well, let me know if you're interested! Thanks. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:03, November 27, 2015 (UTC)

  • Excellent! Well, I don't want you to be spoiled or anything, if you haven't been already. So how about you just let me know once you've had a chance to catch up on your reading of those, and then we can see about taking care of that? Or, if you'd prefer, we can just dive right in. But I imagine you would want to get caught up on the story? It's a very good ending. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:34, November 27, 2015 (UTC)
    • I'm certainly curious about Hux as well. Well, in any case, I just finished off the info on Zare Leonis's page for The Secret Academy. Over the next couple of days, I'm going to go over the page some more, see if I can touch things up, maybe add some pictures or quotes. Then, if you like, we can go ahead and get started on adding the info for Rebel in the Ranks. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:47, November 27, 2015 (UTC)

Re: Pretor Flats Edit

That's neat that you got a response back from Fry about that! I'm not sure that's something we can consider officially canon, though, for the purposes of the article. For example, when I was working on the article for Crispus Commons, I came across the author's statements that it was his conception that the Crispus Commons didn't house any actual clones. However, since that wasn't something that had been actually reviewed by the story group that had appeared in the story itself, I could only put it in the Behind the scenes. So while this is neat info, I think we may need to keep in Behind the scenes. ProfessorTofty (talk) 04:08, December 14, 2015 (UTC)

Your signature Edit

Not sure, but I think there may be something weird going on with your custom signature. Note that both your posts in this thread are showing a year of 2015. ProfessorTofty (talk) 22:06, May 21, 2016 (UTC)

  • I see. Did you know that you can auto-generate a signature using four tildes? ~~~~ It produces the same thing or pretty near it without having to type it out, and you should be able to get it by default without having to customize anything. ProfessorTofty (talk) 03:32, May 22, 2016 (UTC)
    • Okay, will think about it. But have been happily doing it manually for the past eleven years. Best regards. Andykatib 03:37, May 22, 2016 (UTC)

The FreemakersEdit

Hi Andykatib.

I added the OOU template because I was a bit confused because the article refers to it as a 'real world subject' yet everything is written as if it were in-universe. Sorry, I realise now I should have perhaps put something in the talk page or fixed it myself. Feel free to revert changes. --Kohtohyah (talk) 09:30, June 2, 2016 (UTC)

Eras LEGO Edit

Say, I was talking on IRC and the person you want when it comes to modifying the Eras template is apparently Cade Calrayn, who generally handles anything related to that. Unfortunately, he's been very inactive the past couple of weeks or so, but when/if he shows back up, he'd be the one to talk to. I guess if he continues to remain inactive, though, we may need to start exploring other possibilities. ProfessorTofty (talk) 06:06, June 13, 2016 (UTC)

Re:Did You KnowEdit

Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't realize I had accidentally deleted the bottom line... And in the future I'll remember to add it to the Archive, too. Thanks for fixing it and pointing the mistake out. I'll be more careful in the future, sorry. Geek'ari Talk 13:21, July 31, 2016 (UTC)

Re:Conflicts from Bloodline novelEdit

Compelling points, but, unfortunately, an article about the Jedi's return to the Lothal Jedi Temple in the episode "Shroud of Darkness" in Rebels was just recently deleted for not having any conflict take place, which is why I placed the deletion tags on these three Bloodline missions. That return to the Lothal Temple was, much like these missions, solely for the purpose of gathering information. My advice would be to take this up with an admin or someone similar, as this isn't really a call I can make since previous pages have been deleted for having no conflict. Best wishes! Cevan IMPpress (talk) 14:01, September 3, 2016 (UTC)

Kallus Edit

Since you've been working on Kallus' article, I thought you want to know that its been confirmed that he was Fulcrum before the Skystrike incident: https://twitter.com/pablohidalgo/status/805807919069396992 - AV-6R7Crew Pit 14:12, December 6, 2016 (UTC)

  • And the one mentioned in Iron Squadron (episode) too, I asked him about that too (it's the reply after) --Lewisr (talk) 14:14, December 6, 2016 (UTC)
    • We should probably cite it somewhere in the article for future reference. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 14:37, December 6, 2016 (UTC)
      • Hi guys, thanks for checking this information with Pablo Hidalgo. We should certainly add this information but also heed Pablo's advice not to rely solely on Twitter feeds. Andykatib 14:42, December 6, 2016 (UTC)
        • Agreed, I don't intend to continually ask for things to clear things up over twitter, mostly that was just me generally asking for my own knowledge, but it can be used on here too --Lewisr (talk) 15:09, December 6, 2016 (UTC)
          • Good, thanks very much for clarifying the matter. It's good that Pablo can help with questions like these. Andykatib 15:16, December 6, 2016 (UTC)

User talk pagesEdit

I notice your talk page doesn't have the "Welcome to the Wiki" box. So why did you feel it was necessary to reinstate that useless content I deleted FIVE YEARS AGO? DesertFly3 (talk) 05:53, December 29, 2016 (UTC)

  1. I haven't been rude or insulting yet, nor have I "yelled" (capitalization is used here as a means of EMPHASIS, not because I'm angry). Now, to be "rude", I will point out that you are petty, and apparently your reading comprehension sucks, because on the same page you linked to about talk page policies, and I quote: "Removal of the content of the Welcome template ({{W}}) without archival is permissible with the assumption that the user has read and understood the information contained therein." I have therefore once again removed that, as is perfectly within my rights. I will, of course, keep your comments, and not just because it's within policy, but because it is a reminder of your pettiness and error.

DesertFly3 (talk) 16:37, December 30, 2016 (UTC)

  • Sorry but there's no need to be rude about it, Andy was only following the policies of the wookiepedia, it is not being petty and there is no need to pick on his reading skill --Lewisr (talk) 16:41, December 30, 2016 (UTC)
    • There has still been no rudeness yet. He was NOT following the policies of the wiki, as, once again, was pointed out on the very same page he linked to when he was harassing me. That is why I questioned his reading comprehension, and being harassed about an incredibly minor breach of policy (which it isn't) is petty. Even if I had been in error, the policy is there to keep people from misrepresenting themselves or burying old evidence, not to save the poor little template box. Taking time to "police" a non-issue is much ruder than me pointing out the truth. DesertFly3 (talk) 17:00, December 30, 2016 (UTC)
      • I appreciate the apology. I know what it can be like to be focused on the details, and miss the bigger picture. And the bigger picture here is that we are all fans of the Galaxy Far, Far Away, and as long as we all look out for each other, everything will be just fine! And don't worry about "bothering" me; if I make an edit that's not factually based, if I cite something incorrectly, if my word choice or grammar are unclear or confusing, give me a heads up, or change it. That is the wiki way. :) In the end, I want to be the best I can as well. Finally, don't worry about souring me on this site. I have (through my first username that I apparently forgot the password for and was too lazy(?) to retrieve) been here since the very first days of the Wookieepedia. This one minor disagreement ain't nothing. Have a happy New Year and LLAP DesertFly3 (talk) 23:02, December 30, 2016 (UTC)

Re: Rebels episode numbering Edit

Hey Andykatib,

Thanks for bringing that to my attention, I agree that we should follow suit like the official Star Wars.com site does so I have said we should change it. Hopefully this will happen as it does make the most sense! --Lewisr (talk) 17:57, January 20, 2017 (UTC)

  • I guess it's best to wait and see what other users have to say, as I assume there is a reason why it's as it currently is and if we know that reason we can come to a compromise about it. Of course, I just left on the Users talk page explaining --Lewisr (talk) 18:18, January 20, 2017 (UTC)
    • Hopefully it can be sorted out sooner rather than later. I think at some point though if there hasn't been much response then we should take the matter into our own hands and carry it out ourselves to ensure it gets resolved --Lewisr (talk) 18:28, January 20, 2017 (UTC)

Archiving talk pages Edit

Hey Andy hope all is good with you. I was just wondering if you'd be able to help me (or send over a link to where I can find out how to) archive my talk page please, as I see you have done so in the past, thanks for any help you're able to provide! --Lewisr (talk) 00:18, February 4, 2017 (UTC)

  • Thanks a lot! Made the archive, one last thing how do I start a new fresh one?

Edit: Looks like I managed to do it, again thanks a lot for your help Andy may the Force be with you too. --Lewisr (talk) 01:36, February 4, 2017 (UTC)

    • No worries, great that I could be of help to a fellow Wookieepedian. Andykatib 02:42, February 4, 2017 (UTC)

Secret CargoEdit

  • Hey there, I noticed that you're updating some pages with information of the Rebels episode, are you going to update The rebellion page? I was going to do it tomorrow, but if you already have it or plan to do it. I'll leave it to you :) --DarthRuiz30 (talk) 05:14, March 7, 2017 (UTC)

RE: Freemaker Season 2 episodes Edit

IRC Edit

Hey Andykatib, I was hoping if you had a few minutes you could quickly pop onto the IRC. Thanks, Supreme Emperor (talk) 03:51, May 6, 2017 (UTC)

Re: IRC Edit

Hey Andy, thanks for the quick reply. I'm contacting everyone who is a regular editor here with the hopes of jump starting our article nomination pages. I was hoping that you would be interested in helping us in clearing up articles that have been there for months, and in some cases years, and helping us prevent this from occurring again. Please let me know what your thoughts are. Supreme Emperor (talk) 02:44, May 7, 2017 (UTC)

FAN Edit

Evening Andykatib, sorry for the delayed reply. Essentially what we need is people reviewing the article nominations. That is the best place for us to start. Supreme Emperor (talk) 02:36, May 17, 2017 (UTC)

Zero HourEdit

Hi, Andykatid -

I had a question as to your source for the underlined part of your entry 3/26/2017 for Rebels Episode Zero Hour Pt 2: Thrawn orders his snipes to target the enemy mines and the heavy AT-AT walkers to advance. Zeb and Rex tried to detonate the remaining explosives but find that the second wave of walkers are equipped with shield generators. Zeb remarks that they should get Sabine to invent a shield generator that you can't walk through before fleeing with Rex. The AT-ATs begin blasting the rebels just as the A-wings launch their attack. After clearing the mines, stormtroopers charge into the fray.

The last of the small, light walkers (AT-PTs, not destroyed by mines: "left one for you!") walks through the base's shield before being destroyed by a missile. The larger, heavier AT-ATs are not destroyed by the mines and walk through the base's shield as well.

The next bit of dialog is, "we need Sabine to invent a shield you can't walk through." The shield effect we see is the base's defensive shield, not shields on the AT-ATs.

38.140.26.130 17:16, June 19, 2017 (UTC)Justin

  • Hi Justin, thanks for noticing this confusion. I went and watched that particularly clip on YouTube. Thrawn doesn't say the AT-ATs are equipped with deflector shields. He just orders his gunners aboard the AT-AT to mark enemy mines in firing position. I assumed that they were equipped with shield generators because the Rebels were unable to shoot them down. Zeb and Rex activated the mines but they had no effect. That's where the confusion came from. But then for some reason, Kanan is able to slice through the legs of one of them. Since the film does not say they were equipped with shield generators, I think it is best to removed that reference. Thanks for pointing it out Justin. May the Force be with you. Multiple Account RenamesEdit

Hello Andykatib,

We are currently running a script that is re-running the rename process for some accounts. We identified a period of time a few weeks ago where the rename process may not have fully completed, so this script is being used to make sure they're sorted.

Thrawn Article Edit

Hi! Thanks for the message! First of all I'd like to say that I'm honored that you thought you had to ask my permission to edit Thrawn. I don't really hold any power here so I couldn't stop you if you wanted to, and I really really appreciate the respect and stuff that you're showing me. Second I'd like to apologize. I never meant to abandon Thrawn for as long as I did. I needed a quick break from updating it and then life kinda fell apart. I went through a serious breakup and started a stressful full time job and I found myself too distressed and exhausted to continue writing Thrawn the way I'd been. So will I continue working on the page? Yes, if you'll allow me to I'd be happy to. I can't promise anything this evening (I have work tomorrow and truthfully I'd rather spend the next two or three hours relaxing with Netflix) and I have plans tomorrow, but I can definitely get at least something done on Tuesday. I left off at the Battle of Umbara, right? It'll be fairly easy to pick up from there I think. So to answer your question I'd like to continue to handle the project for the time being, resuming Tuesday, but if I find myself unable to continue or required to take a long break like this again, I'll tell you immediately. Is that an ok arrangement? --UmbraWitchAlraune (talk) 02:45, July 10, 2017 (UTC)

RE: Thanks Edit

Hey Andy! No problem, glad I could help out. It's okay I understand your reasoning for doing so and have no problems with it. Thanks for doing all these expansions and pages, it really helps us out a lot. May the Force be with you too --Lewisr (talk) 12:09, July 27, 2017 (UTC)

Bots Edit

Hey Andykatib! Since I don't have a bot myself, for future reference you can see the active bots and their owners here and can simply put your requests here. Cheers, Imperators II(Talk) 14:43, July 27, 2017 (UTC)

Oris Kyrell Edit

Hi, I saw that a time ago you marked Oris Kyrell appearing in the webcomic of Lost Stars, may I ask you where is he? I've been trying to find it and place a picture in the infobox. Thanks--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:00, July 27, 2017 (UTC)

  • Hey, it was actually User:Starit who added that he was pictured in the comic! --Lewisr (talk) 23:04, July 27, 2017 (UTC)

Hi how are you?

  • Who's this here? I got to go somewhere soon. Andykatib 01:02, July 29, 2017 (UTC)

Welcome template Edit

When welcoming new users, all you need to do is paste the following on their talk pages: {{Subst:W|Andykatib|~~~~}}, rather than pasting the entire template code like you did yesterday. Just a heads up. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 17:42, September 14, 2017 (UTC)

The Freemaker Adventues articles category pageEdit

  • Are you going to go back and update the articles that do not belong in that category? Just curious.Jkirk8907 (talk) 00:14, September 17, 2017 (UTC)
    • Sure thing. Will go and remove those articles that don't belong there. Kind regards. Andykatib 02:34, September 17, 2017 (UTC)

Zare Leonis Edit

Just wanted to let you know that I'm currently in the process of doing final work and look-over before I plan to nominate Zare Leonis as a candidate for featured article. Since you did so much work on the article as well, I'm going to note that if the article eventually ends up being pormoted, you'll be welcome to share in the profile banner for helping to promote the article to featured status. I'd also like to invite you to have a look over the article as well, if you like, for anything to improve or add. Personally, I'm still holding out hope that Zare might show up sometime this season of Star Wars Rebels. Spotted an article from someone claiming that Jai Kell's voice actor told him that his character and Leonis would be appearing in Season 3. That, of course, didn't happen, though now we've had Kell in Season 4, so there was at least that truth. We'll see, we'll see... ProfessorTofty (talk) 16:03, November 30, 2017 (UTC)

Unidentified Death Watch Soldier 8 Edit

Sorry, I didn't see your message on this page till now. I was relatively new when I posted that message, however I know a lot more now. Thanks for replying! The only problem I have is that I don't know how to do everything here, so could you explain how to create a canon page for that character? Banana32 (talk) 02:29, December 30, 2017 (UTC)

  • Hi there. The easiest way to create a Canon version would be: Unidentified Death Watch soldier (white helmet). This would automatically create two versions. Then it would be possible for someone to move the Legends version to Unidentified Death Watch soldier 8/Legends. Hope this helps and may the Force be with you. Andykatib 09:21, December 30, 2017 (UTC)
    • Thanks! I might have to hold off creating that article for now though. I'll try to by next week! Banana32 (talk) 17:51, December 30, 2017 (UTC)
      • Cheers. Always happy to help. Andykatib 19:03, December 30, 2017 (UTC)
        • : ) Well at least now I understand why so many unidentified characters are legends:

They were created before 2014, and canon versions were never created after 2014, due to them being so minor. --Banana32 (talk) 19:19, December 30, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Thanks Edit

Hi Andy,

No problem glad to help out when I can. Glad to hear you rediscovered your passion, but hope your studies went went! Thank you and a belated Happy New Year to you too --Lewisr (talk) 09:58, January 7, 2018 (UTC)

RE: Thanks Edit

Hello Andy!

No problem, always happy to help out when I can! Hopefully it'll go new places as otherwise I can see other people feeling the same way you do, personally I don't feel the same but I respect others opinions, hopefully it'll be something you enjoy (if it even gets made!) --Lewisr (talk) 22:42, February 6, 2018 (UTC)

  • Thanks, Lewisr. I guess we can only hope for the best and trust that Kathleen Kennedy and Disney know what they're doing since they have to ensure that Star Wars remains profitable as a franchise. Kind regards. Andykatib 22:45, February 6, 2018 (UTC)
    • I guess you're right on that, lets wait and see how things pan out. How come you had a mixed experience with The Last Jedi? If it's okay to ask --Lewisr (talk) 22:48, February 6, 2018 (UTC)
      • I liked the choreography and the development of Rey and Kylo Ren's character. I liked how Rey is a nobody who is not part of some great Jedi lineage. What I didn't like was the Resistance-First Order chase sequence and the Canto Bight subplot. I liked Rose Tico but felt that the way her character was written did not do a lot of service to her. Vice-Admiral Holdo also felt out of place and is honestly a poor leader and communicator. The Canto Bight subplot stems from her conflict with Poe, which felt artificial. One contradiction in the film is that it is okay for Holdo to sacrifice her life but it is not allright for Finn to sacrifice his life to save his friends from the First Order's superlaser. By Rose's own logic, Finn was fighting for those that he loved. I enjoyed the movie but thought that it had several flaws. Looks like J.J. Abrams has a lot of fixing up to do. Andykatib 22:56, February 6, 2018 (UTC)
        • Hmm I understand what your problems are with the film, I guess things in the film just didn't work for you and that's okay. I didn't really have those problems with the film. I can't really counter your problems with the film as I don't really know right at this time what I'd do differently, all I know is JJ has a lot on his plate with Episode 9--Lewisr (talk) 23:09, February 6, 2018 (UTC)
          • Glad we could have this discussion. I wish J.J. Abrams all the best with Episode 9. I thoroughly enjoyed The Force Awakens and his Star Trek films and certainly trust that Episode 9 is in good hands. Moving the release date to December 2019 shows how serious he is about making a good film. See you around on Wookieepedia. Andykatib 23:30, February 6, 2018 (UTC)
            • Absolutely yes! I believe JJ will make a good film that will get those who had mixed experiences with The Last Jedi back on board, happy editing and speak to you again soon, may the Force be with you --Lewisr (talk) 23:32, February 6, 2018 (UTC)

I just want to say I'm sorry for all the lackluster editing of Kazuda Xiono's page. If I haven't been permanently banned from the site, I'll remember to be more thorough when adding new information. Thank you. YoungMrH (talk) 19:09, May 11, 2019 (UTC)

  • Hir YounhMrH. No worries, next time work on one section at a time instead of adding a whole list of empty sections. It seems to be Wookieepedia policy not to create empty sections. Don’t worry, it won’t get you banned. Just do it one step at a time. Have been preoccupied with other things so I haven’t been able to commit fully to Wookieepedia. Warning Edit

The can of worms has been closed. This warning is directed expressly towards yourself, since you specifically don't seem to have the ability to judge when something has been taken way too far. If you edit that thread again to say anything but whether you support or oppose that article's deletion, or otherwise bring up this off-topic debate anywhere else on Wookieepedia, you will be blocked from editing. Don't even respond to this warning. The matter is closed. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 00:32, July 19, 2019 (UTC)

References and punctuationEdit

Hi Andy, hope is all well. I've noticed this before with some of your edits, and I'm not sure if anyone has said to you about it before, but according to the sourcing policy the references go after the punctuation, whereas you do it the other way around. I just remembered this after seeing your last few edits on Nar Shaddaa. Thanks --Lewisr (talk) 02:14, August 4, 2019 (UTC)

  • Hi Lewisr, no worries. Will make sure that I put the references after the punctuation in the future. This was something I didn't know about. Kind regards. Andykatib 03:24, August 4, 2019 (UTC)

WOTMEdit

No problem! Looks like you just added it below the line rather than above, but its no big deal. Thank you, you too! --Lewisr (talk) 19:57, October 8, 2019 (UTC)

Canon comics proposal changeEdit

Hey, Andy! Just a quick heads up that I've made a small change to Forum:CT:Naming policy: Canon comic books. The change specifies that parenthetical descriptors will refer to the issue's publication year rather than the series', and the corresponding links were also changed. If you could review the changes to make sure you're still in support, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! - Cwedin(talk) 21:22, October 19, 2019 (UTC)

  • Hi Cwedin, I have read through the proposed change that parenthetical descriptors will refer to the issue's publication year and am satisfied with these changes. That would avoid confusion when comics with similar names are published in different years. You have my full support. Andykatib 04:43, October 20, 2019 (UTC)
  • A second vote has been added to the CT, and it will determine how to disambiguate competing titles. Please take a look when you have a chance! - Cwedin(talk) 02:45, October 21, 2019 (UTC)
    • Thanks, have cast my vote for the second vote. May the Force be with you. Andykatib 10:50, October 21, 2019 (UTC)
