Hi. nice page--Yelman

Request for adminship

  • The questions that candidates is encouraged to answer, is it just individually or should we answer them on sight at the page? Thanks BTW for backing me up on this. Lorth NeedaStriptease 13:44, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
    • What's entailed in becoming a Wookieepedia admin, anyway? I'm kind of stuck as far as editing goes sometimes, because I use AOL at home and can't edit from there, but I have enough free time at work to put in about 20 hours a week wherever necessary. People have mentioned questions that prospective admins are supposed to answer, so any advice/information you can give would be much appreciated. In the meantime, I've got to get my edit count up; I got to about that 1k mark, enjoyed having it, and kind of got off-track for a while afterward. Jwebb13HoloNet40px 03:14, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

My Awards

B wing star fighter

Before I edited the page I went through my collection of still images from the movie, I got these pics from the DVD myself so I have one pic for every second of the film, and I didn’t see any B-wings after they flew away from the Death Star to avoid hitting it's shield. I might be wrong but it’s highly unlikely.

“I take your word for it, but we usually want a more verifiable source.” What do you mean by “a more verifiable source”? Just watch the movie, should I upload all of the images I have? Leader 22:27, 6 November 2006 (UTC)Leader

Ackbar article

Atarumaster, I just read the new version fo the article. It looks like you did a great job. I admit that it does make more sense to incorporate all the campaign info into the biography. As the worlds self-proclaimed greatest Admiral Ackbar fan, I give it two thumbs up. :-) AdmiralNick22 16:35, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

  • The simplest way to get on IRC is to go to and use the web client. It doesn't require installing any additional software, it works on every version of MSIE or Firefox I've used in the last year, and it's fairly stable. If you want to use a standalone program, I'd recommend mIRC or Trillian, but Sikon would disagree very strongly (he's an open source guy). -- Darth Culator (Talk)(TINC) 02:25, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Hello, this BobafettH23, actually the pit droid award is given to a Wookieepedian who makes an a great deal of edits on somthing to make it better. The award Brain40 has propposed, is somthing given to a wookieepedian who has made many contibutions and helps people out, and just makes wookiepedia better. I actually would consider you for this award.BobafettH23 13:41, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Honor Award

In response to what you said about the award being redundant, I really ment for it to be given out to someone who has worked very hard on Wookieeprojects and Improvement drive collaberations, which is what I meant by working to improve wookieepedia. I hope that clears it up, and if not, feel free to ask again. User:Brain40/Sig. 12:02, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

  • I have also changed what exactly it is for on the Award proposal page, (click here to see). User:Brain40/Sig. 12:11, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

well, Brain changed it a litle bit take a look at the standards to receive it.BobafettH23 17:19, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

I, Brain40, hereby award Atarumaster88, the Anti-Vandal Medal, for his superior defense of Wookieepedia.

    • Ah yes, i remeber something like that. I beleive i was forced to open up sub-pages because the article was getting to long. I remember discussing this with some of this wiki's members on IRC a long time ago, and i beleive it was allowed. Jasca Ducato 22:03, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

No, everything that isn't in Other weapons I'm just going through and re-categorizing under 'WCR refining,' I can recognize them because they're a blue link, heh. I appreciate the move to Other weapons, though, it does make it easier. -Solus 00:09, 2 December 2006 (UTC)

Why does evryone insist on buting in when i'm trying to talk things over with Jaina! it's either a crack about my spelling or someone trying to interfire. i hate it when it's a user-to-user disguession and someone trys to but in like you did. stay out of it! This is just a request and can be ignored, but can you please rate my 'fanfic'? It's not finished, and I don't mind if you don't want to, it's kinda long, and I don't know if it even counts as 'pure' fanfic. Thank you. -Solus 04:16, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Thank you for taking the time to read it. I will go through it and check the tenses, thanks for pointing that out. As for the Yuuzhan Vong ships... well... um, I didn't know that stuff. I'll do a rewrite of that part. As for ground weapons, well, besides the fact they can 'shift and their monofilament-lined swords, they were practically beaten in ground combat (masers didn't help much). They preferred to keep them in the air, less worries about pesky critters, more worries about live warships. -Solus 12:50, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
    • Um, quick question. Where did the dovin basals come from? Did the Vong have a biological 'generator-type' thing, or did they come with them from the Unknown regions? -Solus 13:03, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
      • Thank you. I'm sorry I wasn't clear about the generator thing. By 'generator,' I mean did the Vong have something to churn them out, like the grutchin queens churned out grutchins, or were they limited to the one's they'd brought from their galaxy? Thank you. -Solus 18:21, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
        • Wow. Thanks for the information, I couldn't find it anywhere in their article. -Solus 18:24, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
          • Um, I added a paragraph that tries to address the problems you mentioned, and, if you please, could you tell me if it's roughly accurate? So you don't have to go searching for it, I'll CAP it for you. Thanks.

However, the war ahead looked bleak. Despite their espionage tactics and impersonations, it was obvious the 'Oozzinvon' had the upper hand. In space battles, strange worm-like weapons would latch onto their vehicles and leech their personnel and equipment into space, and blackish spheres would 'swallow' their fighters and insect-like creatures would eat away at their ship's hulls. The enemy fought with seemingly primitive but highly effective weapons and starships, which the Shapeshifters were not prepared for. However, these advantages in space were nothing compared to the 'Oozzinvon' advantage on the ground. Their advancement in melee combat and their resistance to sarrith bolts overwhelmed the Shapehsifters. Even when Shapeshifti melee weapons were constructed to answer this threat, they still seemed to be of no good against the 'Oozzinvon.' However, just as the intruders, the Shapeshifters fought to the death, with surrender being the farthest thought from their minds. Because of this, a mass slaughter of Shapeshifters was not without a price.

-Solus 02:00, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Thank you very much. -Solus 13:13, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
    • I added another part to the Biography and a Language section. I, of course, do not expect you to read the entire language section (that would be boredom supreme) but could you at least tell me if the Sentance structure part can be easily understood? Thank you. -Solus 19:59, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
      • Thank you very much. Is there any way I can make the Sentance structure part more understandable? Thank you. -Solus 23:35, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
        • I tried to address the problems you mentioned, and thank you for the constructive critisism. I don't mind one iota that you don't want to bother reading all of the Language part, or even all of Sentence structure. In reality, that's not what it's for. If someone did want to read all of it, I would be both surprised and, if I may say so, ecstatic. But who's gonna read a long list of words and learn a new language? English is hard enough as it is with all of its exceptions to every rule (which I find annoying). Basically, it's there for someone to read it if they want to, but I wanted to establish the Shapeshifters as a complete new culture—thus, in need of a language. Also, the reason it's there is there is a friend of mine who also knows about Shapeshifters. In fact, without her I wouldn't have gone this far in the Shapeshifter's development. It's a long story, but basically I work on my 'true' fanfic with her. I started using the language then, then it expanded.

Does the above count as a rant now? =)

P.S. I am an American and have been all my life. The reason I spell things wrong, such as 'colour,' 'armour,' 'lightsabre,' and, of course, 'sentance' is because a good fraction of the books I read are by English authors. I automatically spell things like them. It's weird... -Solus 02:38, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Thank you very much! I've been trying to work on Anakin, but I've been distracted because I'm helping with the WCR. It's a miracle I got that much done on my 'fanfic,' but the Shikkri thing has taken me... six months? I don't remember. Thank you for not minding my rant. Heh, I won't expect you to speak Shikkri as long as you don't expect me to speak Evlish, eh, Elessar? =) Side note: It is WAY TOO COOL to be compared to Tolkien!! Thank you so much!-Solus 02:59, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Send the Proposal

Ataru, the end is near on that deadline and we cannot lag behind. Either you or someone else submit the proposal to LFL concerning the C4 table now before the 1st. If done already, then we don't have to panic, much. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:55, 28 December 2006 (UTC)

  • I foresee panicking. ;-) I'm unfortunately stuck with the finicky and slow computer at my mom's house which has made my Internet connection tenuous at best, and am currently generally busy with certain real-world concerns to boot. I'll try to get this taken care of, but I would definitely recommend tapping someone else as a back-up plan, since I can offer no guarantees at this point. jSarek 23:48, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
    • If Vitas is on the job can we be assured that he will contact LFL in time to finalize this? Will still have limited access myself Saturday and Sunday night. After Sunday night, we would lose our shot. -- Riffsyphon1024 05:08, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
      • Riffs informs me you got the C IV proposal off in time. Thank you very much for taking care of that, on a holiday no less.  :-) jSarek 08:57, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
  • Well that is interesting Ataru. I finally know. :) -- Riffsyphon1024 10:29, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks to Erik Pfluger for inspiration! Thanks also to my IRC comrades Darth Culator (showed me how to use it) and Sikon (bad jokes, good times). Furthermore, I'm grateful to Nebulax for his help and his "nemesis" Fourdot, for the nom, and for sticking to his guns! I'm very honored to accept this award. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 05:40, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
    • 8.gif Awww, after all you did deserve it. Belated seasonal wishes to you too and you're welcome. :) Jaina Solo(Goddess Stuff) 25px 23:20, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

        • "Hey, anyone wanna be an admin or win WOTM? Ask me, I've got a 100% success rate of noms." ;) .... 04:11, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Could you please try and help out (if you can) on List of lightsaber wielders by lightsaber colors. Its a project I made showing a list of all lightsaber wielders (including non force-sensitives) and their respective lightsaber colors. I would also appreciate it if you might be able to get some other Wookieepedians who are interested to help with this project. When its basically complete I think its gonna be really neat and helpful. Congrats again on winning WOTM. :) Roron Corobb Talk 20px 02:42, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Would you accept a nomination for adminship? Many Wookieepedians think you're capable, and now you meet all of the requirements. Roron Corobb Talk 20px 13:50, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Done. Good luck. Roron Corobb Talk 20px 21:32, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
    • Good luck, Ataru. To be honest, I always thought I'd welcome you into your adminship as an admin myself... Guess you'll be doing that for me (that is, if I ever become an admin). Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 22:08, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
      • You got this Ataru. You're a great contributor and a valued member of this community. I'm sure you'll be a great admin. BTW Jack, if you ever run again, you have my support. Chack Jadson 22:10, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Miss Star Wars 2006

Out of curiousity, where is that image of Jaina Solo from? Thanks. MagicAlex 17:34, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Ah ok thanks. I wondered why I hadn't seen it before, having read the whole NJO. Foreign covers make more sense. MagicAlex 20:53, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

You might want to add the {{admin nom}} template to your userpage to get more people to vote for you. :P Roron Corobb Talk 20px 01:12, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

I see your admin nom is going great. Good job. You deserved it. In the meanwhile i am most likely leaving forever seeing my use is expended to this wiki and theres not really anything important i can do here anymore. May the force be with you and I hope to maybe see you again someday. Roron Corobb Talk 20px 21:07, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
