Fact Files: Bes 5-6Edit

Hi Borsk! I have just discovered that the BES5-6 sheet of the Planets section is missing from my collection of Fact Files. I hope it is just misplaced, but I haven't found it yet. Could you check it for any mention of Trest, Pair O'Dice and Ecclessis Figg Room? Darth Morrt 04:54, January 3, 2011 (UTC)

  • This is from page BES5 and all there is: [Lando Calrissian lost the Millennium Falcon to Han Solo] in the annual Cloud City Sabacc Tournament which took place in the luxury "Pair O'Dice"-Casino of the Yerith-Bespin-Hotel. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 12:41, January 3, 2011 (UTC)

I'm a new user so I can't edit the page Grant McCune, I just noticed that his birthday is not entered in which was March 27, 1943. I tried to edit it but am not allowed apparently. I was hoping someone would take it upon themselves to do so.

Hi there. I would like to ask does The Official Star Wars Fact File 91, Corporate Alliance section, contains any noteworthy information about this battle? Anything that hasn't been mentioned already in the HoloNet article? And, was it officially named, or is the name pure conjecture? Answer will be much appreciated. Kreivi Wolter 11:56, February 13, 2011 (UTC)

  • The Fact File doesn't provide any new information that isn't already in the HNN article. It doesn't give the battle an official name, either. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 12:14, February 17, 2011 (UTC)
    • That's all I need to know. Thank you for clearing that. Kreivi Wolter 18:32, February 17, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, and one more thing; is the slicer compound directly mentioned in that entry? Kreivi Wolter 12:01, February 25, 2011 (UTC)

  • No, the Fact File only mentions the "team of slicers", but not their compound. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 09:55, February 26, 2011 (UTC)
    • Then I must remove the source from that article. Again, many thanks. Kreivi Wolter 15:27, February 26, 2011 (UTC)

Hi Borsk. You were the one who added The New Essential Guide to Droids to Nichos Marr's sources section, so I'm wondering, do you have access to the book? If so, could you tell me what it has to say about Nichos. QuiGonJinn 20px(Talk) 09:59, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

  • Page XIII, A Layperson's Guide to Droids chapter: Years [after the Ssi-Ruuk invasion], Cray Mingla, of Luke Skywalker's Jedi academy, used modified entechment hardware to save the life of her lover, fellow academy student Nichos Marr. While Cray believed she had preserved Nichos's consciousness in a droid body, it soon became clear that she had only programmed a droid with Nichos's memories and personality. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 16:30, February 22, 2011 (UTC)

Starstorm OneEdit

Hey Borsk. As you are the authority on Fact Files, could you please help check something for me? I was hoping you could check for mentions, direct or indirect, of Exar Kun's ship, the Starstorm One, in The Rise of Exar Kun entry in FF 110, and the entry on Kun in FF 14. Any help would be very appreciated. Cheers, IFYLOFD (Floyd's crib) 03:07, March 2, 2011 (UTC)

  • A mention in Kun's Fact File infobox is everything I found. (FF14, page KUN1, infobox: "Vehicle: Starstorm 1") --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 18:11, March 3, 2011 (UTC)

Fact File 54Edit

Hi. Could you check are there anything noteworthy about this guy, Kime Enanrum, in the FF 54, entry for Jar Jar Binks? --Kreivi Wolter 12:58, March 13, 2011 (UTC)

  • The Fact File recounts the HNN article and only mentions him briefly as the "renowned artist Kime Enanrum". --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 18:40, March 13, 2011 (UTC)

FF 17 Edit

Hey Borsk. Could you provide me with info on Dewlannamapia from Han Solo's entry in The Official Star Wars Fact File 17? QuiGonJinn 20px(Talk) 09:41, April 23, 2011 (UTC)

  • Sure, here it is: The only light in [Han's] gloomy everyday life was a Wookiee called Dewlanna who mothered the boy and taught him Shyriiwook, the language of the Wookiees. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 09:49, April 23, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Qui-Gon Jinn's first apprentice Edit

Wow, thanks for the heads-up. An interesting bit of info. Now I'll have to do some Bts tweaking to include it. QuiGonJinn 20px(Talk) 13:29, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

Hey I was told by Menkooroo that if I needed Fact File info. on Ralrracheen I should come to you, so can you get it for me? If you did it would be amazing! Darth Needham 00:23, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

  • "He was never less than courageous and incorruptible", spoke the Wookiee Elder Ralrracheen at [Chewbacca's] funeral service, "a Wookiee with heart enough for ten and eager strength enough for fifty." - FF #9, page CHE12, Chewbacca entry. This is the only thing I found. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 15:01, May 6, 2011 (UTC)

Unidentified mustachioed humanoid (Chalmun's Spaceport Cantina)Edit

Hello, I was told that you had the fact files. Is there any information on or images of this individual in The Official Star Wars Fact File 15 or The Official Star Wars Fact File 22. It is doesn't matter how little of him is seen, or if it just a little information about him. Thank you very much.--Exiled Jedi 20px (Greetings) 15:32, June 7, 2011 (UTC)

  • Just a note that this image, which includes the mustachioed dude in the background, is your most likely bet. Is it included in The Official Star Wars Fact File 15 (German Edition - VIM1-2, Bom Vimdim) or The Official Star Wars Fact File 22 (CAN6, Mos Eisley Cantina Characters)? Menkooroo 16:08, June 7, 2011 (UTC)
    • This picture of Bom is used in both entries, but the background with Mustache Man is missing. I didn't spot him on any other related images either. And FWIW, Leland Chee is "convinced it's Trinto Duaba with a moustache." [1] --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 17:58, June 7, 2011 (UTC)

Hey Borsk. Sorry to bother you with a Fact File request, but do you happen to know if Yarna d'al' Gargan's entry in Issue 64 mentions her cubs? If so, could you let me know what it says? Thanks in advance. Menkooroo 13:01, July 3, 2011 (UTC)

  • These are the only passages that mention them: The Official Star Wars Fact File 64 (DAL1, Yarna D'al Gargan): [Yarna and her husband Nautag] had four children together. [...] Slavers raided Yarna's settlement, killed one of her children and sold the rest of the family to Jabba the Hutt. [After Nautag's death in the rancor pit], the children were brought to Jabba's Mos Eisley residence to make the mother more obedient than her husband had been. [...] (DAL2:) In return for saving his life, [Doallyn] sold his krayt pearls and used the money to free Yarna's children and to buy a ship that could take them all away from Tatooine. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 15:43, July 5, 2011 (UTC)
    • Much obliged. :) I really, really hate to do this, but I'm hoping I can bother you just one more time... I'm looking for any mention of Quinlan Vos's son, Korto, in Quinlan's entry in Fact File 69, 89, 99, 103, or 111. I'm really, really sorry. I know that that's five different issues. If it's too much, no worries at all. Sorry, and thanks. Menkooroo 14:11, July 7, 2011 (UTC)
      • No trouble at all. Vos's entry ends with the events surrounding the Battle of Brentaal from Jedi: Shaak Ti. I believe the Fact File was no longer published when Korto was introduced. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 19:10, July 7, 2011 (UTC)
        • Thanks so much. Your willingness to help out anybody who asks is really, really awesome. :) Menkooroo 03:35, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

TPM sourcesEdit

Hey Borsk, was wondering if you had either Star Wars: The Making of Episode I: The Phantom Menace or Star Wars: Episode I Insider's Guide. Trying to do some research for an FA I'm working on and was wondering if there was any concept art of Gungans that resembled or included glurrgs or otherwise mentioned/referenced them. Thanks! Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 22:13, July 24, 2011 (UTC)

  • I don't have the Making-of book, but I checked the Insider's Guide. The concept art gallery in Jar Jar's entry includes this image of him kissing the glurrg. I didn't find anything else. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 19:52, July 25, 2011 (UTC)

Star Wars Fact File #34Edit

Hello, I was hoping you could help me with another Fact File. Specifically, I would like to know what information there is on Grand General Malcor Brashin in The Official Star Wars Fact File 34. Thanks for your help in advance.--Exiled Jedi 20px (Greetings) 20:15, August 7, 2011 (UTC)

  • It's only a minor mention on page END5: "The construction of the shield generator offered many problems: General Brashen [sic] had detected three possible locations for it on the forest moon and General Brenn Tantor was sent off to choose one of these sites and start with the construction work." --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 17:48, August 8, 2011 (UTC)

Fact File 44Edit

Hello Borsk Fey'lya, I see you have access to the Fact File. Can I have any information about Brooks Carlson from The Official Star Wars Fact File 44? Hanzo Hasashi 18:04, August 8, 2011 (UTC)

  • Page END12 (The Battle of Endor): "[...] veteran scout Sergeant Brooks Carlson who trained communications expert Corporal Beezer [also belonged to the strike team]." --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 17:45, August 9, 2011 (UTC)

Posting external links Edit

I've been trying to post a link on Garven Dreis' page since I have some information on a possible appearance and I have collection of images I'd like to add. Thanks, please help me be a member of this community and allow me to do something more than just edit and post things. Thanks!

Cantina charactersEdit

Hey, Borsk. I was wondering if you could help me out --- Fact Files 22, 51, and 93 all have a section on "Mos Eisley Cantina characters." Would you be able to tell me if any of them have anything to say about, or even just a picture of, M'iiyoom Onith, Elis Helrot, or Nabrun Leids? Thanks a million. Menkooroo 09:30, August 10, 2011 (UTC)

  • FF 22, CAN5: "Nabrun Leids: Nabrun, one of many starpilots in the cantina who worked for hire, was a member of the methane-breathing Morseerian species. The breath mask he wore reinforced his outlandish appearance. Leids, a former Morseerian starfighter pilot, was especially qualified for short dated and quick transport ventures." There's also an image of him on the same page with the following caption: "Nabrun Leids was another former starfighter pilot who was forced to offer his services in the rough business world of Mos Eisley. The Morseerian could take anyone to anyplace for the right price."
  • Onith or Helrot are neither mentioned nor pictured. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 16:52, August 11, 2011 (UTC)
    • Thanks so much. We really do appreciate it. :) Menkooroo 08:08, August 12, 2011 (UTC)

Hey, Borsk. I am once again in need of your assistance. Could you check the Darksaber's entry in FF99 and tell me if there's any unique info? Some technical specifications, maybe, or something like that. Thanks. QuiGonJinn 20px(Talk) 15:55, August 26, 2011 (UTC)

  • There's no unique info about the Darksaber in that entry at all. The entry is about the Darksaber crisis as a whole and therefore basically nothing but a sketchy summary of the novel. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 16:50, August 26, 2011 (UTC)

Two thingsEdit

Hello Borsk Fey'lya, I have two questions for you. One question is something I wondered a while back about Pol Treidum being an ISB agent. As you are the one who wrote it back in 2006, does any source state that? Would it be in the Official Star Wars Fact File 37? And also another Fact File question: can I have the information about Janse from issue 37, seeing it is in the sources? Perhaps sometime, though probably not during the school year, I will bring him to good status. Thanks in advance. Hanzo Hasashi 19:57, September 4, 2011 (UTC)

  • I'm not aware of any source that identifies Treidum as an ISB agent. That sentence originally came from a mistitled article about the character. When I merged both Treidum articles back in 2006, I simply adopted the information.
  • As for Janse: FF44, page END12 includes a picture of him (the one we have in the infobox) with the following caption, "Corporal Janse and Greeves served as the unit's sharpshooters. They used weapons Janse had in possession since his earlier employment at the arms manufacturer BlasTech." --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 20:28, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the info. I think I'll remove the ISB bit from Pol's page. Hanzo Hasashi 03:36, September 5, 2011 (UTC)

Enfield and GrenwickEdit

Hello Borsk, does The Official Star Wars Fact File 37 confirm Enfield and Grenwick were killed during the Rescue of Princess Leia? I'm certain that Enfield was, since his Yodapedia article mentions his death during that shootout, and says the Fact File confirmed it, but, along with Grenwick, I would just like to actually see the info about Enfield myself to be sure. Hanzo Hasashi 00:23, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

  • Corporal Grenwick: As Sergeant Major Enfield's tactical advisor and service schedule coordinator of the detention block, the Corporal witnessed Princess Leia Organa's interrogation.
  • Sergeant Major Enfield: Though he often served as the representative of Lieutenant Childsen, Enfield's actual assignment was to command the troops that were responsible for the security of the detention block. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 20:46, September 7, 2011 (UTC)
    • Interesting. And that's all there is to their entries, never stating either fought and died in that shootout afterward? Hanzo Hasashi 21:13, September 7, 2011 (UTC)

Hello Borsk, when I made Grond (Imperial) a GA again back in June, I just assumed that, since Chack Jadson originally made him a GA pre-delisting of status, that The Official Star Wars Fact File 11 did not have any actual new information on him. Can I just have his entry to be sure though? Also here's something I would like another person's input on: back from way before Chack nominated it the first time, it was mentioned that he was part of The Emperor's Demonstration Team by the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, and Chack chose to source that to the card. Very recently, I finally noticed that the card did NOT mention when he served in the Demonstration Team, and removed it. Am I right that no source mentions when he served in the Demonstration Team? For reference, his Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia entry only mentions his role on Endor, without mentioning his past. Hanzo Hasashi 01:20, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

  • Colonel Dyer's aide Lieutenant Grond (a Corellian and in his youth a pilot in swoop races) was tasked to organize the scout patrols.
  • No mention of the EDT, so I guess you're probably right. There's no source that determines when exactly he served on the team. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 14:53, September 17, 2011 (UTC)

Hey Borsk, it's Hunter Kahn. I was told you were pretty much the go-to guy when it comes to the Official SW Fact Files. I've nearly finished a major expansion of the Ki-Adi-Mundi article, but there is info about him in the FF 23 and 37, and I haven't been able to get my hands on those. I was wondering if you could help me out, and/or possibly check whether there is any info in those sources on him that are not currently reflected in the story? Please let me know, either on the Wook or at my email, which is hunterkhn at gmail dot com. Thanks! — Hunter Kahn 14:59, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

  • The Fact File entry summarizes the events from Vow of Justice, Prelude to Rebellion and Outlander. I compared it with Ki-Adi's article and as far as I can tell, the FF doesn't have any info that isn't already included in the article. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 16:12, September 30, 2011 (UTC)
    • Thanks much! — Hunter Kahn 02:45, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

Can you fix the link from Assassin? The last reference. --Station7 14:25, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

Siolo'urmanka/32 BBY Deaths Edit

Hi there. I was wondering why you reverted the edit I made to the 'Deaths' section in 32 BBY regarding the death of Siolo'urmanka? Thanks in advance for a reply. Ressor 19:17, November 20, 2011 (UTC)

Hey there! I'm not even a member on this wiki, but still am a huge Star Wars fan. I was wondering if you (or anyone else) would do me a big favor which is make a list of the name of every single type of clone trooper? I'd prefer empire and republic, but I'd be happy with just republic. Anyways, thanks in advanced. Please contact me at -Austin, a bioshock wiki member

43rd Battalion/Insider 69/HoloNet 14:9:01 Edit

Republic HoloNet News Core Edition 14:9:01Edit

Hello. Do you own Star Wars Insider 69 ? If it is so, could you maybe give me the info from Republic HoloNet News Core Edition 14:9:01 regarding the 43rd Battalion? Thanks for your time. Clone Commander Lee Talk 09:05, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

  • Sure, Here's the news report in which the 43rd Battalion is mentioned. For reasons of context, I'll post the whole thing:
Source:  Republic HoloNet News Core Edition 14:9:01

SHELTER BASE, JABIIM-A sudden attack by Separatist-backed local forces ravaged the Republic's Shelter Base in the second week of open hostilities on the Outer Rim world of Jabiim, resulting in dozens of casualties and the possible loss of theater commander General Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The attack comes after a string of successful Republic pushes that took three Separatist defensive positions-Camp Aurek, Point Down, and Outpost Shear. These advancements weakened Shelter Base's defenses, as Republic troops were moved farther from headquarters to secure the outlying Jabiimite posts.

Intelligence reports failed to detect the Confederacy military equipment, and up until the attack, no hard evidence of a Confederacy presence had been found. The Jabiimite Separatists were employing native soldiers and equipment. Throughout the Jabiim engagement, long-range orbital scanning has been hampered by atmospheric disturbances, resulting in incomplete intelligence.

Under the cover of a night storm, Confederacy hailfire droids unleashed volleys of tanksmasher missiles into the compound. The initial assault claimed 32 clones, all from the 43rd "Killer-Aiwha" Battalion, and there are three confirmed Jedi deaths: Dalnus Cam, Sana-Jis llowa, and Rallcema Bylissura.

Atmospheric disturbances prevented the use of gunship air support, and Jabiim's muddy surfaces hampered the effectiveness of the Republic AT-ATs, AT-TEs and other armor.

Partial holographic feeds have confirmed that Alto Stratus, the local Separatist leader, personally led the attack. In addition to battle droid infantry, Stratus led an undisclosed number of elite Nimbus soldiers into the assault.

These same feeds have confirmed General Kenobi's presence during the attack, but contact with Jabiim has been lost, and Kenobi has yet to check in as per schedule. The Jedi Council has refrained from comment regarding speculation that the theater commander might be among the dead.

As of this report, the fighting continues at Shelter Base. Contact has currently been lost with HNN field correspondent Angus Laride and Jabiimite Loyalist Front spokesbeing Orliss Gillmunn. Stay tuned to this feed for live updates.

The "Empire Strikes Back" is better than "return of the Jedi"...

Kensaric FFEdit

Hello Borsk, can I please have whatever info The Official Star Wars Fact File 44 gives on Kensaric? Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi 06:05, December 16, 2011 (UTC)

  • [From all the members of the strike team] The Corellian Sergeant Bruckman was assigned to operate as the scout, while Corporal Kensaric was responsible for giving them cover. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 14:13, December 16, 2011 (UTC)

Fact File 65Edit

Hey Borsk,

Sorry to bother you with a Fact File request. :S I don't think it'll be a big one, though. I'm just looking for what Issue 65's "Finis Valorum" article has to say about Sei Taria. Thanks for any help you can provide. Menkooroo 12:11, December 20, 2011 (UTC)

  • On page VAL6, there's this image of Taria with the following caption: Decaying Friendship: Clear evidence for Valorum's insufficient abilities as a politician was the fact that Sei Taria, who was a close advisor to the Chancellor for many years, still viewed Senator Palpatine as her model. --Borsk Fey'lya 20px Talk 18:49, December 20, 2011 (UTC)
    • Thanks a million. :) Menkooroo 18:57, December 20, 2011 (UTC)

Link changeEdit

Hello, Borsk Fey'lya. Following the pagemove of Dark Apprentice to Dark Apprentice (novel), I went through and attempted to change all links to Dark Apprentice to the new name. However, I was unable to change the link on your userpage because it is fully protected. As the Dark Apprentice title is now occupied by a character article, the link(s) on your userpage now most likely point to the wrong article. You may want to check your userpage and correct the link(s) if necessary. On behalf of my operator, Advanced Jedi Training Droid 6 (Talk to my master) 03:27, December 24, 2011 (UTC)
