Cut KOTOR content in Revan article?[edit source]

Hey Cade, I was just working on the Suuda article and realized there's no mention of him, Moosh or Sleheyron in the Revan article. They were originally planned for KOTOR, having several side quests for the player. Should it be there, even if it's cut content? I didn't bring it up on the nomination page, since I've no idea if it should be there or not, and I'm leaning more towards the not than anything. Manoof (talk) 11:30, May 26, 2016 (UTC)

Canderous[edit source]

Hi! I brought up this topic with Brandon, and I was wondering if you could take a look at [[1]]. I noticed that Shae Vizla's article was renamed to "Mandalore the Avenger", so, using the same logic as to why that name change occurred, I suggested this. :) Darth Ravigious (talk) 17:23, June 7, 2016 (UTC)

Eras Lego[edit source]

Hi Cade,

I was wondering if some could create a special Eras header template for the LEGO Star Wars articles. I have been working on several of them including LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures. Per the discussion at Forum:SH:Proposed change to Noncanon template, one issue that me and the other users came across is that there is no special eras header for LEGO articles which don't fit under the {{Eras|Real}}, {{Eras|Canon}} or the {{Eras|Real}} categories. I think it's high time that an administrator create a special era header for LEGO articles like Jek-14, the Freemakers, R0-GR, and Naare. Perhaps, something like this: {{Eras|Lego}}? ProfessorTofty told me to get in touch with you since you handle these issues. I think this eras header is pressing because someone mistakenly placed the {{oou}} template in the Freemakers articles, not knowing that they were neither Canon nor Legends. Please let me know if you are able to handle this issue. Andykatib 11:00, June 19, 2016 (UTC)

Speedy Deletions[edit source]

Hi Cade Calrayn,

Three articles related to the Bloodline novel—Mission to Pamarthe, Mission to Daxam IV, and Mission to Ryloth (New Republic)—have been listed in Wookieepedia:Speedy deletions. They were listed on the grounds that no conflicts took place in those articles. Those missions did occur in the novel but were primarily espionage missions with the Ryloth one being a diplomatic mission. Cevan suggested I raise the matter with an administrator. Can you please look into the matter. Andykatib 20:17, September 3, 2016 (UTC)

Visual editor filter[edit source]

Cade, when you have the chance, I was wondering if you could look into an odd problem I experienced a little earlier with the abuse filter regarding the visual editor. An edit I made in the Merchandising section for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story kept setting it off, even though there was no obvious problem with what I was trying to submit. At first Toprawa and I thought it might have to do with my references, but it kept going off even when I removed the references and there was nothing obviously weird in the two sentences I was adding. And it wasn't a problem with the existing text because I tried simply adding "Test..." to what was already there and it took it just fine. Tope eventually disabled the filter and I was able to save it, then he re-enabled it and I added something else and it worked just fine. Still, the mystery remains of what was setting it off in the first place. ProfessorTofty (talk) 03:59, September 5, 2016 (UTC)

  • Odd. I walked through the filter's regexes and found what seemed to be causing the problem (this nowiki tag) but you're right, it wasn't triggering the filter anymore. Well, hopefully that resolved the problem; let me know if it comes up again. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg Calrayn 13:33, September 5, 2016 (UTC)

Crew Skill missions[edit source]

Hi Cade! Say, is there any correlation at all between the TOR Crew Skill mission levels and the dating of events described therein? For example, if I know the Slicing mission "The Cleanest Profession" is a level 42 mission, is there any way to tell which in-universe year the mission is set in? Thanks, Imperators II(Talk) 10:51, September 5, 2016 (UTC)

  • Hmmm. There's some, but it's more based on whether the mission is from the base game or the expansion. Give me the mission name and I can give you an estimate. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg Calrayn 13:36, September 5, 2016 (UTC)

Creation of a canon "year" template[edit source]

Hi Cade! I may be wrong, but I seem to remember you were the one who made the year template, or at the very least you worked on it. With the release of Star Wars: Galactic Atlas, it seems that the BBY/ABY system is back, but we can't use the old template for canon year articles, since it automatically includes approximate dates in other dating systems that are strictly Legends. How difficult could that be, do you think, to create a new template that includes approximate dates in the only other canon calendar (the Lothal Calendar)? --LelalMekha (talk) 11:55, November 4, 2016 (UTC)

  • Hmmm. Relatively simple; I might actually just be able to modify the current one to support some stuff. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg Calrayn 13:07, November 4, 2016 (UTC)
    • Nice! were I a bit more technically oriented, I would have given it a go myself. But since you did in a jiffy, that's great. Thanks. ;) --LelalMekha (talk) 13:24, November 4, 2016 (UTC)

KOTET setting[edit source]

Does Star Wars: The Old Republic: Knights of the Eternal Throne take place in 3632 BBY? --Nostalgia of Iran (talk) 01:52, November 30, 2016 (UTC)

  • I've been unable to put a firm date on it; it's not very long after Fallen Empire, so I've been going with around 3632. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg Calrayn 13:45, November 30, 2016 (UTC)
    • Should we ask Charles Boyd on Twitter? --Nostalgia of Iran (talk) 15:08, November 30, 2016 (UTC)
      • You can give it a try; I'd suggest just asking how long between the two games. No need to bring any of the year stuff into it. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg Calrayn 01:35, December 4, 2016 (UTC)
        • Just saw tweets from Charles Boyd and Ian Ryan. [2] About 6-8 months pass between the end of KOTFE and the start of KOTET. --Nostalgia of Iran (talk) 03:22, December 5, 2016 (UTC)
          • Nice. Alright, I'd say that's enough to push Eternal Throne into 3631 BBY, as Fallen Empire clearly spans more than a few months. Now, if only we knew how old Valkorion's kids were. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg Calrayn 13:42, December 5, 2016 (UTC)
            • As stated before a while back, however, in game time is equivilent to real world time (a year passes in game every time one of our years passes). That would mean that Chapter 3 begins in "October" of 3632 BBY and KOTFE ends in "August" of 3631. 6 to 8 months later would be early 3630. Plus, logically, a year seems too short a timespan for all of the events of BOTH expansions to occur during. Darth Ravigious (talk) 13:53, December 5, 2016 (UTC)
              • Huh, excellent catch. Alright, gonna try and map this out. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg Calrayn 13:55, December 5, 2016 (UTC)
                • I already updated a few articles last night as well to reflect the time jump, although Vitiate's article is undergoing a major edit, so that is the only one I haven't touched on yet. Plus I have yet to play the expansion and do not intend to until finals are done with, so I will probably end up binging next week and help out with some massive updates. Darth Ravigious (talk) 13:59, December 5, 2016 (UTC)
                  • Okay, {{TOR_updates}} has been updated with the expanded logic. I'd say that we can comfortably place the post-Chapter 9 Star Fortress and Alliance stuff in 3632-3631 BBY, in that four-month real-time gap between 4.0 and 4.1; the destruction of the Star Fortresses can definitely go c. 3631 when we account for the campaigns to destroy them and the time it takes to build Odessen's base. Article I wrote[edit source]

Hey! I do not mean to sound confrontational by any means, but is there a reason that the article I recently wrote was removed? I worked on that for a couple of hours, and I believe that there is enough evidence to substantiate that as an official conflict, due to multiple references in the two latest expansions. If anything, since it may not have been a full-scale war, a potential compromise could be reinstating a recreated incarnation of the article (possibly edited), and then moving it to a different page with a more fitting name. I just wanted to approach you regarding such, as I spent quite a bit of time on trying to pen a well-written article regarding the topic in question. Again, I do not intend to come across as being particularly difficult or defiant by bringing this up, but I simply wanted to know if there was, in fact, a specific reason as to why it was ultimately removed. Darth Ravigious (talk) 14:08, December 7, 2016 (UTC)

  • I appreciate your coming to me rather than just respamming it. I've read through the strings, and I don't think there's enough evidence there to support any article on any sort of conflict. It's just standard infighting that can and should be covered in the Sith Empire article. The only specific quotes I could find in your references were these: "If you thought the Sith were treacherous before, you should have seen it after you and Marr disappeared. I didn't have much reason to stick around once you were gone, so I left them to their infighting before the Eternal Empire rolled in." and "Darth Acina was the only Dark Council member left standing; all others died or disappeared in the chaos. Without opposition, she declared herself Empress of the Sith." (which actually refers to the Council members' disappearance during the fighting with the Eternal Empire, not the infighting. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg Calrayn 14:13, December 7, 2016 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the reply. I had actually just read your summary on the deletion log and intended to come back and say "never mind", but you beat me to it! When writing the article, I considered that as well. And yeah, I purposefully did not want to spam it. As an admin on the Mass Effect wiki, it is rather aggravating when users do that. Canon?[edit source]

Hey there! I was just curious about how this wiki separates canon and non-canon content? I just think that's a very important part of any wikia, and I'm wondering about how it works. Thanks :)

Good morning,

After some discussion on Talk:Spectres and Forum:SH:Renaming Lothal rebels, the consensus was that we should rename the page Spectres since the latter name is commonly used throughout Star Wars Rebels. Hey Cade, I nominated Guts and Glory: A Chronicle of The Amazing Story of The Twisted Rancor Trio as a good article, but there is one objection that I need some help with resolving. Abuse Filter[edit source]

Hello there. I was editing the Grievous page to add info about the oddly absent Battle of Nadiem, when my edit was blocked by an extension hook. If I remember correctly, this is because something in the paragraph I added tripped an abuse filter. I was able to get the edit through after a rewording, but for future reference, would you happen to know what in the paragraph here tripped the filter?

"His armies were able to secure a strong foothold on the world before a Republic detachment, led by Luminara Unduli and Saesee Tiin, arrived to halt his advance. Grievous ordered the movements of the Confederacy's army from a base far from the front, and though Tiin and a Republic armada distracted and eventually scattered his space forces and air support, Grievous made significant gains. Grievous sent his forward armies through Threadneedle Canyon to attack the Republic's main army, where they were ambushed by clone troopers and Bariss Offee. Though the droids appeared to have defeated the clones, they were truly only playing dead, and attacked the army from behind when it engaged Unduli's forces at the other end of the canyon. Grievous's forces were outmaneuvered and destroyed, leaving Grievous to abandon the battle in his personal starfighter, the Soulless One. The Jedi Master B'dard Tone and his apprentice Zephata'ru'tor attempted to stop Grievous, but Tone was wounded and his apprentice was killed."

Hi, I was about to create the article for the lightsaber when I saw that it was CSD before by notability a year ago and that the page was left protected. There're other lightsabers that are less notable than Mundi's lightsaber. Example Eeth Koth's lightsaber, Adi Gallia's lightsaber, Plo Koon's lightsaber, etc. Any reason this is different?. The saber has been referenced in the Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia and made an appearance in SW Rebels making it more notable than the others. Hope you can answer thanks--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 01:48, July 21, 2017 (UTC)

Brunson[edit source]

I'd like to request that we lock the article for Brunson, as there's an IP user who keeps vandalizing the page. I've reverted the edits, but I don't think this will stop this person. Shayn Mikel (talk) 05:00, August 4, 2017 (UTC)

Inqmoot 83 scheduled[edit source]

The first Inqmoot since February has been scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd at 7 PM ET. Given the severe lack of activity throughout the entire Inquisitorius, we will be having a critical discussion about this reviewing body's future membership. If you value yours, it will be in your best interest to attend this meeting. We will see you there. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 18:46, September 11, 2017 (UTC)

WP:TOR[edit source]

I know you're not really active anymore, but Tope suggested I might try asking you regardless-do you still have access to SWTOR content? I'm the new leader of Wookieepedia:WookieeProject The Old Republic, and I'm trying to get some of the KOTFE and KOTET content added-are you able to and willing to help?
