(PocketModel TCG vs TCG: Thanks and followup)

Hi Cade. I see that you have moved all of the expansion articles of the Star Wars PocketModel TCG to (TCG) subnames. Just wanted to clarify that these games are NOT TCGs. They are games with miniatures and TCG elements in them, thus the reason this was reverted back to Star Wars PocketModel TCG: "expansion" in the first place when someone tried to subtext them as TCG the last time. Not to mention that simply sub-setting the expansions as simply "TCG" does not differentiate them in the title as being distinct from Wizards of the Coast's Star Wars TCG, of which Star Wars PocketModel TCG nor WizKids have any affiliation with. Furthermore, the reason the expansions included the full name of the product is that it was distributed that way to differentiate it, for instance, from the WizKids Pirates PocketModels brand line, which did NOT include trading cards. The miniatures were trademarked as PocketModels&mdash;a fact I can legally verify with documentation, as I was one of the signatories that helped win the rights for WizKids to claim the trademark "PocketModels" for WizKids against WotC's claim to the brand name. In any case, this has already been discussed in the main Talk page for the game, and the most compelling reason at the time was that it made expansions easier to locate when searching from the search engine. Smaller naming conventions are awesome, I agree, but can you derive a way that these expansions are easier to find for SW fans and collectors specifically looking for them? I know the disambiguation helps, but not always, and definitely not in the search box. Can you perhaps build a page template linking them as has been done for FFG XWing, etc.? Or at least do something to (TCG) to differentiate it from WK TCG and WotC TCG that would be succinct in the title? Or, at the very least, revert the titles back to the naming convention that you moved them from? Thanks.&mdash;<b><span style="color: indigo">Gethralkin</span></b><span style="color: indigo">Hyperwave</span> 22:03, April 10, 2015 (UTC)

:Hey, thanks for the fix, Cade. Might you also check and see what you think of my moving Star Wars PocketModel TCG: Base Set to Base Set (PocketModels)? I moved it to allow consistency with the rest, but now I'm not so sure. If you think it's fine, great. If you think the original was better left alone, I'm fine with that, too. Question

Tarkin (novel) is canon now whick talks about the Desolation station. Shouldn't a canon page be made for Desolation station? If you could make one, I could transfer the information to it.

(Skysteam (talk) 13:17, January 3, 2015 (UTC))

Sorry

Hi! Sorry for making that page. It was going to be used for wikis that need content for that page, specifically disney.wikia.com. We would have gave you credit on every Star Wars thing. I hope you understand. AwesomeOrange89 (talk)

RE: Template

We actually do: http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/2-1B_Surgical_droid. And we use http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/Template%3AWookieepedia. Sorry, it was a mistake. You really don't have to be so rude, I'm a brand new editor and it was a mistake. AwesomeOrange89 (talk)

Star Destroyer

It is a new image, from a company that is a licensed seller of Star Wars products. That makes it official. As far as "new canon," the current image isn't either, as it isn't seen in any of the films or The Clone Wars. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 21:04, September 28, 2014 (UTC)

  • The current image is from the Encyclopedia. Because it never contained EU information and was always canonical, we consider it canon for the purposes of our articles. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 21:06, September 28, 2014 (UTC)

Infobox image: I could use your advice

Hello Cade! I'm currently working on the Bpfasshi Dark Jedi crisis‎, and there's an issue about which I'd like to know your opinion. As you can see in the article itself, there exists only ONE depiction of Yoda battling the Bpfasshi Dark Jedi. Logically, it should appear in the infobox first and foremost. Unfortunately, this image's shape is terribly unpratical, which is why I have been force to relegate it in the article main body for the time being. What would you do in my shoes? Would you try and stick it in the infobox anyway? (Oh and BTW, congratulations for your recent promotion. Hard work always pays!) --Lelal Mekha Old Republic military symbol (Audience Room) 22:23, September 28, 2014 (UTC)

  • Try this version; might be better in the infobox. Thanks. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 22:33, September 28, 2014 (UTC)
    • Thank you, it certainly looks like an improvement. I guess we can get rid of the one I uploaded, then. --Lelal Mekha Old Republic military symbol (Audience Room) 22:45, September 28, 2014 (UTC)

Image rules failure

Hi, I'm the person who read all the rules and still miserably failed when uploading an image for Gwig; so I was wondering what unwritten rules exist in addition to those I'm pretty sure I read. It would mean a lot if you responded, as I did plan to work on images for an article I've poured my heart and soul into and I don't like making mistakes.

Also, nobody's said a single word to me ever since I joined this thing, so ...I'm kinda waiting for people to start acting like people and communicate, too.

  • That second thing is not hostile towards you, just a general statement of, well, confusion about this place. --BalkansEwok (talk) 14:34, September 29, 2014 (UTC)

Hey, just wanted to say thanks for dealing with my remaining probed CAs (for the meeting). I was preparing to fix them today but you went ahead in advance and did it yourself, thanks a lot. Winterz (talk) 13:20, September 30, 2014 (UTC)

Intergalactic Passport.

Hi.

I know this may sound strange, but can you please outbid me for the Intergalactic Passport? I want out from having to get it and not have to win it, but since I can't just cancel my bid, I need someone to outbid me, especially when no one else besides me tonight has bid on it. If you don't have enough money, I understand and will accept that you won't. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 03:17, October 2, 2014 (UTC)

  • I.... I have no desire to own that item, and no desire to bid on it anyway. I'm sorry, but you shouldn't have bid on it, and I don't know why you're asking me to buy it. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 03:26, October 2, 2014 (UTC)
    • Eh, I understand. I wasn't sure if there was any other chance of finding anything else on it, so I bid on it. Oh well, I'll do a lot of chores from here on out just to replenish some of my savings. That, and make sure I get a well-paying job since I'm out of college. KOTOR II

The article Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords says that Dantooine was the first planet Meetra Surik visited after Telos IV, but most other articles stick to the order of Nar Shaddaa first, Dxun and Onderon second, Dantooine third, Dxun and Onderon revisited fourth, and Korriban last. Aldera Palace locations

Hey Cade. I see that you added a merge proposal tag on several articles (but not all of them) related to locations within the Aldera Royal Palace. I have this twofold question for you: why did you tag some articles within the "Aldera Royal Palace locations" the category and not all of them? And also, does this mean this category itself is irrelevant? Cheers. --Lelal Mekha Old Republic military symbol (Audience Room) 22:22, October 19, 2014 (UTC)

  • Hmmm. To be fair, I didn't even look at the category; I simply came across those while doing the parenthetical clean-up. Personally, I don't think that rooms or towers in a building should have separate articles unless they're like the Jedi Temple's towers or the Room of a Thousand Fountains (though don't get me started on the Temple, because our coverage of that is shoddy and covered in too many articles). The Aldera Royal Palace article - which I'm assuming you wrote - covers the various rooms quite nicely. Things like the Grand Hall may be article-worthy, but the conjectural ones.... eh. There are two more covers of Star Wars Marvel 2015 that I would really love to upload, but after I read your message, I will not be able to do so. So I'm going to leave that up to you. And the second image I need you to upload is the Alex Ross cover. I found it in another following reliable source: http://www.theforce.net/story/front/Alex_Ross_Star_Wars_Variant_Comic_Cover_160463.asp

Could you please upload these two images for me so that I don't have to do it myself? Please let me know right now. This is important. Thank you very much. AdamDeanHall (talk) 15:47, October 21, 2014 (UTC)

OOU Layout Guide

I think you may have missed my above message, but the out of universe Layout Guide still needs attention.

On another note, I noticed when editing Anakin Skywalker/Canon that the displayed message says "...please do not make edits to this article while this message is displayed, in order to avoid edit conflicts." However, the article is tagged with a work in progress template that asks only that people not make minor edits. Any chance that could be looked into also? Work for your bot ;-)

Hey Cade! I wondered if you could use your bot for this here little job: I created an article for the canon "Minister of Information" of the Galactic Empire; however, this title was already taken by another article that is not the proper Legends counterpart. I have thus renamed said article into "Minister of Information (Five Worlds)," but of course there are now a few articles that lead to the wrong page. Could your bot fix that so I don't have to do it all manually? Thanks!--Lelal Mekha Old Republic military symbol (Audience Room) 20:22, October 28, 2014 (UTC)

Unintentional deletions

Hey Cade. I'm guessing you didn't intend to delete Raptor (Nebulon-B2 frigate) and Valorum (Victory-class) (which were valid pages, not redirects) but actually meant to delete the redirects to those pages Raptor (Nebulon-B2) and Valorum (Victory-class Star Destroyer)? If so, mind restoring them (the links to the redirects should probably be fixed before deleting them too)? :) Cheers, grunny@wookieepedia:~$ 09:06, November 3, 2014 (UTC)

Warwick Davis

How does the video I cited as a source not prove he is in involved with the film? It clearly states that at 1:44 in the video, "Warwick Davis will return to that galaxy far, far away for Episode VII in 2015". I suppose it doesn't explicitly say he is part of the cast, but it does confirm his involvement. --Dentface (talk) 21:31, November 3, 2014 (UTC)

Captain Antilles

Hi Cade! I saw that you recently moved "Antilles (disambiguation)" to "Antilles." I guess it's fine, but I need "Antilles" for an article about the canon version of Raymus Antilles, who unfortunately hasn't been given a canon first name. What should be done in that case? --Lelal Mekha Old Republic military symbol (Audience Room) 15:01, November 11, 2014 (UTC)

Article Relevancy

Hello Cade! Sorry if this question seems meaningless and all, but I want to avoid being a nerfherder in the eyes of the mods, so I figured I would ask permission for writing an article in particular, because I do not know if you would find it unnecessary. In the book Annihilation, as well as being mentioned in The Old Republic MMO, there is canonically (Legends, of course) a major city located on the surface of Ziost, capital of the system, which the Orbital Space Command and Ministry of Logistics was located. I was wondering if I could write an article about the city, because I do not want to invest my time into contributing to the wiki for an article of mine to be deleted. I also do not want to come across as vandalizing, because I do not want to make your job harder, by any means. Also, the Ziost article has not since been updated since TOR came out, and does not mention its Imperial significance during the era of the Legends MMO.

I left Brandon the same message, but he said to consult with you.

Thanks!

Tarkin conjectural characters

Hey Cade, are we no longer meant to make conjectural articles for unnamed canon characters? I notice you've removed all but one of the conjectural articles from Tarkin, despite most of them being relatively important characters with dialogue. Ayrehead02 (talk) 18:36, November 14, 2014 (UTC)

Sourcing for newly listed Episode VII books

Hi! The Edelweiss catalog has listed some new Episode VII books for release. The catalog has been used to cite Star Wars books before, but after the listings were published on some news sites, they were taken off the catalog. Screenshots were taken of the listings before they were taken down, however. Would it be okay for me to create pages for these books, citing the screenshots? --Dentface (talk) 22:23, November 14, 2014 (UTC)

KkH'Oar'Rrhr and Mission to Tatooine (Separatist Crisis) edits.

Look, as much as I want to keep the tags at non-canon, the problem is we can no longer do that. We've already got three Legends-canon sources directly referencing the events of Perfect Evil (the Essential Atlas referenced Shumari, Barely Tolerable: Alien Henchmen of the Empire, Part 2 made an indirect reference to the fight between Vader and that Tusken Raider on Shumari, and Imperial Warlords: Despoilers of an Empire Part 2 explicitly namedropped Tao from that manga and specifically referenced his status as an apprentice to Vader). At this point, it is impossible to list the manga's events as non-canon after that, at least in regards to the Legends continuity. I wish there was another way of doing it, but there isn't, not when there were a lot of references to that manga in Legends canon. That's why we have to use the Unlicensed tag, because it's pretty much the only compromise we can do, since while it is not confirmed canon, the references to the manga in three different canonical sources disqualify it from being non-canon either, so this is the best we've got. So please, stop undoing my edits, as you're effectively giving false information by doing that. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 17:59, November 16, 2014 (UTC)

How would.... how do you get non-licensed out of this logic? by your logic the information should just be integrated into the articles. Why would they ever be labeled "unlicensed" they are licensed material... ralok (talk) 18:14, November 16, 2014 (UTC)
Okay, let me explain... Before the switch to Disney, heck, before the entire EU was made into Legends thanks to Disney and the creation of the sequel trilogy, the unlicensed tags were originally as "ambiguously canon." I don't quite know if Cade Calrayn was responsible for the template name change or if someone else was, but I do know that was what the template name was originally. Anyways, the unlicensed template, or as it was known the ambiguously canon template, was for sections that were neither confirmed canon nor confirmed non-canon. Since three different Legends-canon articles directly referenced events, locations and characters from what was supposed to be a non-canon article, I had to use the unlicensed tags because those were what the ambiguously canonical tags were before the name change. If it were up to me, I would have just used "ambigstart" and "ambigend", but it wasn't up to me, so I had no other option but to use that. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 18:27, November 16, 2014 (UTC)
When? when the heck did it mean that it was "ambigously canon" why would they ever use the term "unlicensed" to refer to something ambigiously canon, wouldnt they use an "ambigously canon" tag for that. Unlicensed means what it means... it means it was not officially produced, licensed, or approved of by hte owners of the franchise at the time. No matter how ambigous the canonicity is... it will not warp the fabric of reality and make something unlicensed. ralok (talk) 18:29, November 16, 2014 (UTC)
They did use Ambiguously Canon tags (I in fact definitely remember using "Ambigstart" and "Ambigend" for several articles before the change), but then some admins basically switched it to unlicensed for some reason. Ask Cade Calrayn or whoever was responsible for that stupid change in tags. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 18:35, November 16, 2014 (UTC)
Hey here is an idea... don't insult admins by calling their edits stupid. ralok (talk) 18:39, November 16, 2014 (UTC)
Unfortunately, what happened there is indeed stupid (and I'm not even insulting them at all, as I'm just stating flat out that what they did was clearly a grievous error), especially when it needlessly changed things that weren't even supposed to be part of the unlicensed tags just because they didn't create the tag from scratch and instead lazily just redirected the ambiguously canon tags to unlicensed tags even when several of the stuff under what were called ambiguously canon tags don't even fit under the definition of "unlicensed." Like you, I prefer they actually match definitions, that's why redirecting ambiguously canon tags to unlicensed tags was a vastly grave error.
And BTW, when someone in power makes a grievous mistake that is more likely to cause damage than do good and is verified to be causing damage, yes, you definitely need to address their actions as stupid and call them out on it, even if it isn't technically "polite." Weedle McHairybug (talk) 18:53, November 16, 2014 (UTC)
you know what... good luck with that dude. ralok (talk) 19:00, November 16, 2014 (UTC)

It's never stated in the game/book itself, but would Starkiller be considered an inquisitor? He clearly fits the role. Just wondering. - Darth Ravigious (talk) 17:06, November 18, 2014 (UTC)

      • Oh, you meant The Force Unleashed's novel. I had no idea what you what were talking about. And no, Inquisitors serve the Empire in general, and Starkiller was Vader's personal assassin essentially. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 17:29, November 18, 2014 (UTC)
        • Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding for Revan. I thought you were only talking about the personality section. However, shouldn't it at least be noted that the Sith thought him to be mad during the confrontation at the foundry, and, obviously, during the Rakata dungeon? - Darth Ravigious (talk) 18:00, November 19, 2014 (UTC)

Sorry about the Revan edit. I'll just refrain from editing him in the future. He's a pretty popular character and needs to have a solid bio. As wiki editors it's for the best he has high quality. I understand haha Darth Ravigious (talk) 15:37, November 20, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Images and authors

Okay, but if I understand what you're saying correctly, that would be the cover artist, right? If you were referring to the Epic Yarns books, those are written and illustrated by the same author, as is often the case with picture books. ProfessorTofty (talk) 17:29, November 18, 2014 (UTC)

reference changes

Hi, Cade. I'm wondering about your reason for these reversions. I added the page numbers because the items are each mentioned exactly once in the novel, and for someone trying to find that reference, a specific page is a more useful citation than an entire novel. Thanks. Asithol (talk) 02:21, November 20, 2014 (UTC)

  • Because page numbers aren't listed in Appearances and Sources lists. The only place they are used is in citations and references. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 03:26, November 20, 2014 (UTC)

That image of the Boba Fett cover of Star Wars 1 (Marvel 2015) you deleted, could you please recreate it at once? The reason why I am asking you to do this is because the Forbidden Planet Variant cover I am referring to is based on Adi Granov's Iron Man Vol. 3, #76 cover, featuring one of Iron Man's most popular poses. Deletion of Agent

Hi Cade. I was wondering if you could delete the page Agent for me. You see, a couple others and I have been discussing on the Agent/Canon talk page about moving Agent (rank) to just Agent. The Legends rank Agent is the most used and highest priority use of Agent in Legends, so it being moved to just Agent would be in accordance with Wookieepedia policy about highest priority pages taking precedence over others. All who have been discussing it in the talk page agree on this change as well. I would move Agent (rank) to just Agent, however I cannot do so until an admin deletes Agent. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could do this. Thanks! Cevan (talk) 18:47, November 30, 2014 (UTC)

What the hell? You remove something I accurately posted and put it back on not long after?--Gboy4 (talk) 02:05, December 5, 2014 (UTC)

  • Firstly, there's an Inuse template there, so you shouldn't be editing it in the first place. Secondly, it's my Featured Article nomination, so I reserve the right to review additions to the article as part of the FAN process. Thirdly, your information was only partial, and I had already been working on the article. You were reverted so that I would not get an edit conflict, and so that I could put the correct information there. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 02:09, December 5, 2014 (UTC)
    • Firstly, That template shouldn't exist, these wikis are supposed to be about community as well as just information and I see extremely little of the former on here. Secondly, Yes it was partial but not inaccurate, you could have VERY easily worked around it and from what I know of edit conflicts my very small edit would not have caused one, especially as you edited Hero of Tython first.--Gboy4 (talk) 02:21, December 5, 2014 (UTC)
      • Never mind, I just looked up what wookieepedia is not, how disappointing, the "wikia" in the address bar was misleading. --Gboy4 (talk) 02:31, December 5, 2014 (UTC)

Problem with module switchover on Template:Eras

This is a heads-up that the recent change to Template:Eras appears to have broken the functionality that sorts Legends articles into the Legends articles category, unless there's a big delay effect or something, or something important that I'm missing. Only 239 are left in that category, and I don't know what it is that's special about the ones that remain in there which weren't affected. The problem was first pointed out at Talk:Biala. Not sure yet if there are any other problems; Category:Canon articles appears to be unaffected, as are Category:Canon articles with Legends counterparts and Category:Legends articles with canon counterparts. Bozzie B - Production Artifact? Or the stuff of Legends?

I actually wanted to rant and rave on your comments on the Bozzie page and your comments alone for reasons blah, blah, and blah. But, I figured that it was possible I may just get banned for calling an admin a dick, regardless of who was right and who was wrong. E-Peen battles are reserved for IRC anyways, or so I presume. With that, said I was intrigued about "[...]this character might not even be canon, and thus should likely be rewritten to reflect that." I figured this character falls in line with the likes of Habba Kee, Obitoki, and Terter (Especially Terter), other than the fact that Bozzie Barada was never mentioned again. I figure that maybe some kind of Ambig or Cut tag would be used for the bio section, and the BtS still fleshes out with the actually relevant information. For example, I thought I've seen cut articles written in an IU perspective (For characters, anyways) while the BtS describes the rest. Of course, since Barada appears in the novel, I don't think we can technically consider him cut, but rather the way of Obitoki, although without another source that kind of affirmation may, again, be inappropriate. If the nomination had continued past the Tag issue (We could have just deleted the line in the BtS, for example), I'm guessing you would have brought this up, which means you must have some thought on the matter. Of course, I'm only guessing on that last part, but it was a lead, and leads should be followed, when possible. --Clonehunter(Report your W.M.D.) 03:32, December 10, 2014 (UTC)

Confusion over Legends/Canon

As far as I can tell, there are some major discrepancies in the wiki, and it is really confusing to me! I'm hoping you, or any other admin can explain it to me.

Take a look at Chopper (clone trooper), and you'll see what I mean: it's a legends article. Why is this? The Clone Wars was declared Canon! This same issue comes up on a number of pages devoted to battles or events that happened within TCW. Is someone changing it to Legends without being noticed, or have the pages just been mislabeled? I don't know, but I would really like someone to help me out here. Effect 05:23, December 16, 2014 (UTC)

Hello, My name is Trey and I have been reading Wookieepeidia for a reference for some time. Especially when a thought comes to mind such as "How many Millennium Falcon style frieghters were built?" Well to my disappointment, the pages seem to be jumbled. For example, the words from the article are smashed over to the right cover the pictures and side bar notes. This makes it very difficult to read. This is not a one time occurence. My theory is that appears to be set for device viewing only and not desktop viewing also. This is by far a complaint, meerly a ponting out there is a flaw in the programing and being a got to reference, could be fixed. Below I placed the link that I had first observed this error one.

Thank you for your time,

Unidentified Imperial Advisor (blue robe)

Why did you delete the entire page for the Unidentified Imperial Advisor (blue robe)? Yes, most of that was based off the article the Unidentified Imperial Advisor (black robe), but only because they have an identical backstory in the sense that none were expanded upon; we only see them walking with the Emperor. If need be, the article could be cleaned up to differentiate it, not delete it entirely.

And I'm puzzled as to the "confirmation" aspect. Do we really need confirmation for something that is seen onscreen? Do we need to be told that this character exists when he can be seen with the other five advisors in the film? If there was any debate as to whether the character existed, I had previously shared the continuity photograph of the character taken in full costume. I ask you to consider this, and restore the page. If it needs to be cleaned up, I will see to that. -SlashMan (talk) 19:15, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

Template:Information

Got a massive bot run for you. Please update all usages of Information with the new |continuity= parameter, described on the template page. It should be the first parameter, above |attention=. At the same time, many articles may be able to be categorized by the bot based on their source; the more you can do with that, the less manual work needs to be done. However, please be careful to not apply canon or legends when both is more appropriate. If in doubt, the bot should err on the side of leaving the parameter blank. I may get my bot running on this as well, but no guarantees, and probably not until after the new year anyway. Thanks in advance. :) —MJ— Council Chambers 02:32, December 24, 2014 (UTC)

Deities vs Gods

Deity/Deities is gender neutral while God/Gods is male gender biased. After all sometimes you might be dealing with a female deity/deities i.e. Goddess/Goddesses. Therefore use God/Gods when talking about a male deity or a group of male deities but if it is both genders then Deities is better.

Jdogno7 (talk) 04:38, December 25, 2014 (UTC)

IF it's used in the source about a certain point of fact. Well god is better to use when referring specifically to a male deity.

Hello, Cade. My name is Jacob, and I'm an administrator for the Star Wars: The Old Republic Wiki (http://swtor.wikia.com). I'm messaging because our Wiki is in a state of informational decline in that it's very behind on constantly updated information, and it's hard trying to work on a project like this with only a few active users. I'm wondering if there's a way that you might be able to rally a few users you know that are familiar with Old Republic-era topics to come and help us fill in the holes we currently are working to fill...and I'm asking because I don't want to put a forum post on the Senate Hall because that might seem like spam.

If there's anything you could do, we would greatly appreciate it. Get back to me when you have time. Thank you! ShatterClub|talk|TOR Wiki Bureaucrat 12:03, January 4, 2015 (UTC)

This is for the Wook, never mess with a Wookiee : )

108.71.211.21 22:15, January 5, 2015 (UTC) Dear Cade Calrayn, the "Dear" part is just an impulse, and I leave it for joking purposes. I have restored that article. It was mature. It was factual. The broadness of the problem makes it necessarily general. Policies on Wookieepedia are misquoted so no one can post or change anything at all at any location. The system and its users are so messed up there are no more proper channels. None of them work. I followed the Talkheader discussing Wookieepedia itself, and you shut it down. I followed the purpose of the Senate Hall itself. Policy may be policy, but that is why they must change or nothing will work. I can't ask anyone if they know about the bubbles around lightsabers when immersed in water because of these "Generalizations". If they are so general, then the issue is only larger than you are seeing.

My final point is this: Wookieepedia is a collection of pages that presents the facts of Star Wars. These facts are discussed, debated, and understood by fans. We can no longer do this. Every discussion is a rule-breaker and swiftly tabled. And now an Administrator claims I have not talked correctly, but generally, on the Forum for "A site-wide discussion area meant for topics concerning Wookieepedia. PLEASE FEEL FREE to post questions, suggestions, and comments NOT RELATED TO SPECIFIC ARTICLES. Questions related to specific articles should be asked on the talk page for that article.

Wookieepedia is not a general discussion board. Star Wars questions may be asked at the Knowledge Bank or referred to an external forum such as the Jedi Council Forums on TheForce.net. Off-topic posts are subject to deletion. FOR live Wookieepedia support and GENERAL discussion about Wookieepedia, you can ALSO try our official chat room. See Wookieepedia:IRC for details. For common questions such as 'What is Wookieepedia?', 'How do I upload an image?' or 'How do I create a userbox to customize my userpage?', please check the Wookieepedia FAQ and our help pages first. All non-pinned threads will be automatically archived by a bot after thirty days of inactivity."

Tell me before you ban another reformer who paid respect until they gave none, Administrator, what rule did I break there?

Main page

Hello, I was wondering how they made the menu on the Wookieepedia's front page where you move your mouse to films and a new menu pops up showing the Star Wars films. The same thing happens when you go to Characters it shows icons of Characters. How do you do this? I would like to do something like that for my own wiki page. Sovereign

Hey Cade, I noticed you've moved Sovereign/Canon to Sovereign (Imperial-class). Looking again at the page for Sovereign (Sovereign-class) I now realise my linking the canon page to it makes no sense; however, the new title you've given it isn't accurate as nowhere in Tarkin is the Sovereign's class identified. The page should probably be something like Sovereign (Star Destroyer). I would of done it myself but thought it would be better to explain my reasoning before I did. Nakassk

Hi there! I saw your edit on Nakassk, and i was just wondering why he did not warrant a biography section? --Tetsu Aero (talk) 18:52, January 20, 2015 (UTC)

  • Vendors typically don't need to be sectioned; a lot of the article was fluff, and the biography would end up being very similar to the introduction. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 19:00, January 20, 2015 (UTC)

Welcome template

Hi there. I noticed that there is a new guy that only recently joined on the recent wiki activity page. I don't know if I'm qualified to send him the template to welcome him on his talk page. Can you? His user name is Overlord-1138.

Cheers! TheSpaceGuy (talk) 22:20, January 22, 2015 (UTC)

Why did you take down Ginger Kid?

7.3 Warning

There is a guy by the name of Darth Plagueis "Mądry" - Hego Damask and I think he is trying to sabotage this wiki. He asked me to copy and paste a CSS code. Then I found out he was not even an admin. IDK what it could have done but I thought you should know about it.Unsigned comment by Jamers1477 (talk • contribs).

Re: Shadow of Revan

Okay, I will try to do that. It is sometimes confusing on the faction part for me as well, and I already took 4 character through this thing! --Obi-Wan 531 (talk) 17:02, January 25, 2015 (UTC)

TOR systems/planets

Hello Cade, I sent the list of missing planets of TOR to Jason Fry. However I'm still missing the exact location in-game for some of them.

  • Pedorian
    • Crew Skill mission "Playing Both Sides"
  • Romossobar
    • Casualty list of Jedi Masters killed if the Consular kills Vivicar - "Master Tarben Jenoquan (studying at the Place of Enlightenment Through Knowledge on Romossobar)"
  • Corrida
    • Comment from Vette on Tatooine. "This reminds me of a cave I found on Corrida. Almost died there. Great, now I'm having flashbacks."
  • Vyron system
    • Republic version of the Karagga's Palace Operation; it's on the edge of Hutt Space, and is annexed by the Hutts after the Dread Masters invade Hutt Space.
  • Tensor IV
    • SOTR crew skill mission "Swords into Slabs"
  • Solu Five
    • Trooper message after Senator Zian is arrested. "CORUSCANT--Press and bystanders looked on today as Grom Zian, Senator from Solu Five, was led out of the Senate tower in shockcuffs by armed guards."

An this one: Alortha. It seems it comes from the "Unlikely Habitat" crew mission but this site (http://swtor.gamepedia.com/Unlikely_Habitat) spells it "Alorthais". Can you verify ? I don't have the Revan expansion. Hk 47 (talk) 19:03, January 25, 2015 (UTC)

  • Alortha is the correct spelling from the game files. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 19:12, January 25, 2015 (UTC)
    • It's perfect, thanks. Hk 47 (talk) 21:01, January 25, 2015 (UTC)

TOR model viewer

  • Hey Cade, as the go to guy for TOR on Wookieepedia I thought you might be interested in this [2]. It's a model viewer which could be used to screenshot vehicles without a pilot in them. I'm not sure if the use of model viewers like this is allowed for images on the Wook, or if you'd even want to use it at all, but I thought I'd let you know just incase it might be of use. Deleting Magick

Hi Cade! I was wondering if you could possibly delete the page Magick. You see, in canon the word "magic" is always spelled as "magick," even on the Databank pages. As such, I'm going to move Magic/Canon to Magick, however I can't do so until the Magick page has been deleted. Thanks! Cevan (talk) 00:21, January 30, 2015 (UTC)

Edits to The Inquisitor

The Plot summary for "Call to Action" was written by me. I have tried to reword the edits to make it sound more professional as opposed to poor writing. I've been doing that on both this page and "Call to Action".--Marcuspearl (talk) 02:19, February 4, 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of Jedi jumpspeeder

Hi Cade! I was wondering if you could delete the page Jedi jumpspeeder. In Legends, the speeder is known as the Undicur-class jumpspeeder, while in canon it is only known as the Jedi jumpspeeder. A canon page for it was created, however it uses the Legends name. The current Jedi jumpspeeder page just redirects to the Legends page of it, so for the time being I can't move the canon Undicur-class page to Jedi jumpspeeder. If you could delete the page I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks! Cevan (talk) 18:25, February 8, 2015 (UTC)

  • Hold that thought. It's called that in Star Wars Rebels: Head to Head. - AV-6R7User talk:AV-6R7 18:32, February 8, 2015 (UTC)
    • Is that so? It wasn't listed in a source or reference on the page. In that case though, nevermind my request. Cevan (talk) 18:34, February 8, 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of Consular-class space cruiser

Alright, while Jedi jumpspeeder should not be deleted, there is one page that does need to be deleted, and that's Consular-class space cruiser. Currently it redirects to the Legends page, Consular-class cruiser, however the canon name for the ship is Consular-class space cruiser. There is already a canon page for the ship, however it has /Canon at the end of it, which isn't necessary since the regular space cruiser page is just a redirect. If you could remove it that'd be a big help. Thanks! Cevan (talk) 19:48, February 8, 2015 (UTC)

Redundant to higher-quality file

I have noticed you have been replacing JPG files with PNG files for quite some time now. In many cases it seems you just picked the old JPG file and converted it into PNG. If you do that, you actually don't increase the quality of the image. You just increase the size. If you just save already compressed (JPG) image into bitmap (PNG) then the quality will stay the same. Path-x (talk) 15:54, February 11, 2015 (UTC)

  • I'm most certainly not taking the current images and changing them to PNG. I'm getting the images directly from the game. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 17:51, February 11, 2015 (UTC)
    • I see. Still I don't really see the point of having bitmaps on a website like this. Especially when there is really no noticeable difference between compressed (JPG) and bitmap, unless you use microscopic zoom. It just takes forever to load if one is viewing the page with smart-phone on a mobile internet. On the other hand, I quickly notice the difference when in-game screenshots are not taken under the best graphics settings. Anyway if you want, I can try to re-upload the ones I uploaded in bitmap format, as I still have bitmap sources? Path-x (talk) 20:24, February 11, 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I am Ender, I'm the guy who wanted to make the Darth Traya's ritual page, you said that she didn't plan any sort of ritual, so what was all that stuff she did in the Trayus Core about? Ender Pheonix (talk) 18:28, February 15, 2015 (UTC)

Please redirect "Star Wars: Darth Vader I: Vader" to "Star Wars: Darth Vader #1: Vader, Part I".

I recently logged on to Star Wars: Darth Vader I: Vader just now. Could you please redirect that page to Star Wars: Darth Vader 1: Vader, Part I? Please let me know right now. This is important. AdamDeanHall (talk) 18:36, February 17, 2015 (UTC)

  • No. Firstly, I'm not at your beck and call, and it's not "important." Secondly, to do so would be wrong. The issue itself does not mention "Part 1" anywhere. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 18:40, February 17, 2015 (UTC)

Reversion of upload of full Mandalorian Wars map

I am curious as to why we don't use the full map of the Mandalorian Wars: if we intend to use it as an informative image, then surely it makes little to no sense if the legend is cropped out? I will happily accept not using the full image if it is an issue of copyright, but if that is the case then why has the wiki used the full Atlas map of the Thrawn campaign?--The All-knowing Sith'ari (talk) 17:02, February 24, 2015 (UTC)

  • My immediate concern was potentially copyright, but if that's not a factor (and I doubt it is) the quality should definitely be higher. If you could get a better scan of the map, go ahead. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 19:31, February 24, 2015 (UTC)

I see. Well I've try my best here, every time I go on my phone, see category of Mandalorians, I see it at 128 of Mandalorians. Meaning there's still Mandalorians haven't been filled out, I try waiting for them be filled. But they weren't, so I decide to try fill them out. But as you can see, I made lot of mistakes, lots of misunderstandings, and etc. Even when I try improve myself, I end up failing more. So I have decide to leave this, quit this. This will help you guys, I won't bug you anymore, no more fixing so many mistakes. So goodbye.

Ahsoka Revert?

Why exactly was my image edit reverted? I uploaded my picture (the same quality as the other one) before Brandon did, and put it on Ahsoka's page before he did. Cevan (talk) 05:56, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

  • Because Brandon's file was larger and higher quality. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 06:29, March 3, 2015 (UTC)
    • No it wasn't; before you removed mine, I checked and both of our were .pngs of the same size and quality taken from the episode guide. There was a smaller .jpg on jer page before, which is the one I replaced. I think Brandon replaced mine without checking thinking it was the .jpg. Both of ours were the exact same quality though; I even have mine still saved on my computer to re-verify it, and they are. Cevan (talk) 06:32, March 3, 2015 (UTC)
      • If that's true, and I don't remembering it being so, then it shouldn't matter which one I deleted. There's no harm done. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 16:10, March 3, 2015 (UTC)
        • I know, I was just wondering why mine was deleted when it was the same quality as Brandon's and was uploaded and put on Ahsoka's page before his was. If you look at the history you can see I put a .png in in place of the lower quality .jpg that was in before, right before Brandon replaced mine with his. What's done is done though, and it doesn't really matter now; I was just curious as to why this was done. Cevan (talk) 22:26, March 3, 2015 (UTC)
          • Doesn't really matter to me, and I did check before I replaced yours, but the reason I replaced yours was because mine was slightly wider and, as a result, showed a bit more of the character. Small difference, of course, but that was my reasoning. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:29, March 3, 2015 (UTC)
            • Ahh that clears things up I bit. The main reason I was confused was because you had put a delete tag on my image saying yours was better quality, when they both had the same quality. No harm done though. Cevan (talk) 22:33, March 3, 2015 (UTC)
              • If I recall correctly, I said "Bigger/better quality" to reflect the sizing difference. Apologies if that wasn't clear. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:34, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

You know something here dude, I don't really care that you ban me from here, it doesn't make much of a difference to me, the only I came here, is to bring characters into the light, and out of the dark, though I made lots of mistakes, ones that I will end up regretting, I can say I am proud to say I was the one who brought these characters into attention.

So you go and ban me dude, I'll just simply lean my mistakes, then I'll back to fix them, and if I do end up making more mistakes, I'll just simply lean from them and try do better then last time, that is all I can do, I regret we leave as enemies in this case, but I would maybe one day we could leave on better terms. So here's what am gonna do, am gonna do one last post, and am gonna leave, look up on rules here, and I'll return, better from before. Goodbye.

PS. You do see that Karin Dochek is wearing blue Mandalorian armor right? and that's not the kind we end mistaking for other armors for Mandalorian.(Mandalore The Freedom (talk) 16:18, March 4, 2015 (UTC))

Ahsoka's Curved Lightsabers

I do not think we should be so quick to delete a page for something that is going to be in more than just that episode you removed the page for an unjust reason. I understand and respect that you are an ADMIN but please not be so rash in deleting a page.EHybrid (talk) 16:21, March 4, 2015 (UTC)EHybrid

  • As I said in my edit summaries. Yes, she's Ahsoka, but they're a pair of lightsabers that appeared once in one episode. We already have enough non-notable lightsabers; wait until the sabers actually appear more than once or become notable some other way beyond just being "omg it's ahsoka and she's got curved blades". Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 17:09, March 4, 2015 (UTC)

I don't think you understand. This site is suppost to house the largest collection of Star Wars knowledge and by posting an article about it to make the site more complete. But you don't seem to get the idea. They will play an important role in season two of Rebels so why are you redirecting the page to the character and locking my page down. It will get its own page sure, but at the same time why are you taking work out of your day to lock down an article that will be posted anyway. You might as well have kept it up at least I am trying to future-proof the site for when it will be important and will need it. It appears in one episode so f**king what. At least there are people on this site who are trying to do something for the Star Wars lore. I highly recommend that you unlock that post so that I may edit it and make it that article more accurate. By you doing this as an ADMIN is just sad. It is your job to find articles that don't fit and take them down. Not delete ones that will be of importance.--EHybrid (talk) 17:24, March 4, 2015 (UTC)EHybrid

  • I... I'm going to leave at this, as you're verging on personal attacks and have no idea what you're talking about. My "omg" comment was not specifically directed at you, but was meant as a summary of the kind of stuff we've gotten related to Ahsoka in the past. I'm perfectly willing to allow the page when it is more notable, like when she's actually shown using it in season two or something. Please do not continue to try and insult me or my work here, or I will have to ban you. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 17:28, March 4, 2015 (UTC)

Maximillian Veers deletion

Hi Cade! I was wondering if you might be able to delete the Maximillian Veers page. Previously it redirected to his Legends page, which was only spelled with one "l", however we now have canon confirmation in Ultimate Star Wars that Veers' canon name is spelled with two "l"'s rather than one like his Legends name. Unfortunately, I can't move his canon page there until it's deleted. I'd appreciate it if you could do this for me. Thanks! Cevan (talk) 02:10, March 5, 2015 (UTC)

Help making a category

Hi Cade, I noticed you made a few categories, and was wondering how to do it? I added some audio files a few days back and I need to make categories for some of them, in the format of Categories:Audio files of [name]. I wasn't 100% sure how and didn't want to break anything ^^' Thanks heaps in advance! Manoof (talk) 09:03, March 22, 2015 (UTC)

Okay first off my personal knowledge obviously exceeds your own. and being in the game or not. does not make it true canon! I have been contending this with tor support for months now and I will not rest until it is clarified it was wrongly worded if anything at all. there is no light sith. just because dickheads want to be funny and do jedi shit on a sith does not make it canon! it was a matter of freedom for players to do whatever the fuck they wanted using the moral high ground or dirty low moral standards! You can decide that I'm wrong all you want. But I will tell you now. I am refusing to allow you or those developers that didn't know shit what they were saying destroy my childhood and my favorite story of all time!

Let me be clear "Admin" banning me only silences me from your bullshit website. the same people that made tor got the classes of the game incorrect! "Jedi knight" should be "Jedi guardian" the advanced classed Sentinel with two sabers should be a weapons master! even real weapons masters hate using two sabers. but sentinels are not better swordsmen then guardians they are half and half! so if you want to contend the legitamcy of the old republics lore. remember this. they also have a "fallen jedi padawan" saying this when you summon her "don't make me go against my teachings" (WHAT TEACHINGS?! SHES FALLEN CORRUPT YOU WATCH HER GO CORRUPT HER DISLIKING DARKSIDE ACTIONS IS NOT FALLEN HER SAYING ITS NOT THE JEDI WAY IS NOT FALLEN JEDI!) I WASN'T PERSONALLY ATTACKING ANYONE I CUSSED YOU FELT BUTTHURT CAUSE I SAID YOU LOST CREDIT. I USED TO COME HERE FOR MY KNOWLEDGE...

PEOPLE DON'T KNOW STAR WARS AND THEY ARE COMING INTO THIS GAME WITH CONFUSED LORE ABOUT AND ITS TICKING ME OFF. ITS RUINING STAR WARS!!!

DIE HARD?! YOU?!? PROVE IT! LIGHTSABER GUN OF EZRA'S DISNEYS ATTEMPT AT NEW FRESH IDEA... ITS BLASPHEMY NO JEDI NEEDS A BLASTER WHEN THEY CAN DEFLECT BLASTER ROUNDS BACK. HE DOESN'T NEED A LIGHTSABER EITHER BECAUSE HE HAS THE FORCE SO A LIGHTSABER SLINGSHOT MIX IS JUST RUINING THE WHOLE MYSTERY AND POWERFUL PRESENCE THE JEDI POSE!

TO CLARIFY. JEDI KNIGHTS ARE JEDI CONSULARS JEDI SENTINELS AND JEDI GAURDIANS THAT HAVE BEEN FULLY REALIZED JEDI AND PASSED THEIR MASTERS INSTRUCTIONS AND TEACHINGS ENOUGH FOR THEM TO TELL THE COUNCIL THEY ARE READY TO NOT BE BABY SAT ANYMORE! JEDI MASTERS ARE JEDI KNIGHTS THAT HAVE FULLY TRAINED JEDI PADAWANS TO JEDI KNIGHT!

    • Obrigado, thank you, one more think, I forgot to mention that the entire collection (70 hardcover books) are comicbooks which are divided in SAGAS, for exemple the first saga, the first 12 books, is called Clássicos (Classics, in english) and it's a compilation of every Marvel issue released about Star Wars.
    • There are lots of sagas, some bigger than the other, this are just some few examples:

Cavaleiros da Antiga República (Knights of the Old Republic, in english)

Império (Empire, in english)

Tempos Negros (Dark Times, in english)

A Guerra dos Clones (The Clone Wars, in english)

Rebelião (Rebellion, in english)

Academia Jedi (Jedi Academy, in english)

Legado (Legacy, in english)

• Boba Fett

BY the logic you just used no recovering alcoholic should ever be allowed to tell someone to not drink, and no criminals who were released from prison should tell people not to commit crimes. The logic you are employing is so backwards it isnt even funny man. ralok (talk) 05:10, March 30, 2015 (UTC)

Jedi Exile

Hi. Do you have a hard copy of the Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia? Wondering if you can look up "Jedi Exile" and confirm if the image of the lightsaber appears as cyan. My copy is reprinted and appears much darker and blue. Thank you. Scoundr3l (talk) 21:36, April 2, 2015 (UTC)

Why did you revert my edits?

Hello, I am just curious as to why you reverted my recent edits? Specifically the ones on Ottau, Fau-Kes andFerav? For Ottau and Fau-Kes, I merely added the Republic to their affiliation sections because if they're affiliated with the SIS, then they're with the Republic. Other SIS agents have that. For Ferav, he did refer to Angral as "My Master". If that wasn't enough evidence, then I am fine with that. But please explain why you reverted my edits. Scout1534 (talk) 00:14, April 9, 2015 (UTC)

PocketModel TCG vs TCG

The miniatures were trademarked as PocketModels—a fact I can legally verify with documentation, as I was one of the signatories that helped win the rights for WizKids to claim the trademark "PocketModels" for WizKids against WotC's claim to the brand name. Thanks.—GethralkinHyperwave 22:03, April 10, 2015 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for the fix, Cade. Deletion of Redirect

Hello Cade. You recently deleted my redirect to 24,000 BBY at 24000 BBY. Would you care to give an explanation? I thought it was a perfectly reasonable redirect as most years in the thousands do not have a comma in the name, and I certainly don't see any reason why it was rational to do that. So what has warranted this response? Thanks for your time. Metaphysical (talk) 01:37, April 13, 2015 (UTC)

  • Because it doesn't serve a purpose; they're never referred to without commas. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 01:51, April 13, 2015 (UTC)
But all of the 4 digit years don't have commas. Here's an example: 7000 BBY. Is there any specific reason for this?Metaphysical (talk) 13:15, April 13, 2015 (UTC)
Yes, because that's how they're universally referred to in various sources. It's like real-world 4-digit years. For more info, see Forum:CT Archive/Commas in year articles. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 13:19, April 13, 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of Mandalores list

The page that was previously deleted was not finished, and was only deleted because you deleted my work and changed it into an erroneous redirect (see the deletion log in case you've forgotten. I created the page as a useful reference tool. All of it is properly cited and is verifiable Legends "canon". There is good reason that it should not be included on Wookiepedia. If you want it deleted please give a better explanation, as I put hours of work into that page. My article fits all the guidelines of Wookieepedia:Attribution, Wookieepedia:Canon_policy#Expanded_Universe, Wookieepedia:Be bold in updating pages, and Wookieepedia:What_Wookieepedia_is_not#Wookieepedia_is_not_Wikipedia; and more importantly, your deletions thus far do not conform with Wookieepedia:Deletion policy, so I'm going to put the article back up. Until you can get a real reason to delete it that follows those guidelines, and submit it for discussion--> Wookieepedia:Trash compactor, I will continue to put it back up.Metaphysical (talk) 16:33, April 13, 2015 (UTC)

  • I'm sorry, but it has been previously decided through numerous TCs that list pages such as yours as superfluous, as they are entirely redundant to the topic article, and not permitted. As an administrator, I do in fact have the right to delete/redirect the article, and as such I have protected it from further creation. I'm honestly sorry about the amount of work you put into that article, but that doesn't change the fact that it is unnecessary and fully deleteable per our previous TC decisions. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 16:42, April 13, 2015 (UTC)
Fair enough, but why not have include it anyways? I mean, most other topics have plenty of superfluous articles as well. If we were really that worried about redundancy then I'm sure the whole of Wookiepedia could be condensed into one long, single, continuous article. I for one would prefer to include useful lists, even if they were somewhat superfluous. My list referenced the Death Watch and New Mandalorians, which is at least somewhat different from the main Mandalore (title) article, and I think it would be useful as a quick reference guide. What would it take for you and the other admins to at least reconsider this policy? I would create new lists of New Republic and Galactic Alliance heads of state as well if I were able. Thanks again. On the source, her last name was mentioned in Star Wars Celebration and it was something like Din, or so. Nicktc 18:10, April 16, 2015 (UTC)

The Force Awakens lock

Hey Cade! Just curious as to how long the TFA lock will be in effect for. Thanks! Cevan (talk) 20:59, April 16, 2015 (UTC)

Hello Cade, I'm a new user and am wondering what steps I can take in order to edit new pages that are currently locked. I'm looking forward to contributing, thanks. CptSteam (talk) 00:23, April 17, 2015 (UTC)

Battle of Sullust

Hello Cade; I was just wondering why exactly you reverted my edits to the Battle of Sullust pages? The canon one links to the Legends one, so I was merely fixing the link. Cevan (talk) 01:03, April 19, 2015 (UTC)
