Hey leave me a message if you want, I'll answer pretty quickly, honest.

  • Hola Carlitos Moff, soy Chockys. - Chockys 19:07, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Re:Odan-Urr quoteEdit

Sure, I'll add it when I'm working on the article next. I hadn't really given the quotes much thought, as I usually do them last. Thanks, -- AdmirableAckbar [Talk] 07:46, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

  • No problem, glad I could help. If you have any other comments/suggestions for the article, feel free to let me know. Thanks, -- AdmirableAckbar [Talk] 16:47, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Removing categories Edit

Why are are you removing categories from droid articles? - JMAS 23:48, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Droid CategoriesEdit

Thank you! Bringing order to those categories is a dream of mine, but real-world obligations have me spending less time on Wookiepedia. I look forward to working with you! Ajrand (Signal) 21:59, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

  • Cool and all, but let me give you a pointer that I was given a few months after I joined up: avoid redundant categories. My mistake, way back when, was that I kept adding Category:Planets to a bunch of planets, without realizing that they were already included in subcategories of Planets, like Core Worlds or Gas Giants. For droids, you should be aware of overlapping categories, especially involving the various "degrees." A protocol droid, for example, is a third-degree droid. So it's redundant to include both third-degree and protocol; simply list the protocol category, and it will effectively be in the third-degree. An assassin droid is fourth-degree, so all you need to list is assassin. A medical droid is first-degree, so just list medical. Etc. Enochf 20:06, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
    • Yep, I had the exact same thoughts when I was told. But this is how it goes: include in the relevant subcategory, and do not include in the main category. Check out Category:Third-degree droids for the most problems. A lot of the butlers and servants need to be moved into Category:Service droids and removed from the main third-degree category. Think of them as folders on your computer. A file can't be both in \WINDOWS and \WINDOWS\SYSTEM. Enochf 20:27, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
      • Allright, now I think I got it. It's actually waaay better to put them like that. I will fix as much of those articles as I can. Thanks for letting me know that I was kind of screwing up with the Categories, Enochf. :) Carlitos Moff 20:31, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

Hey there, no problem. I'm currently away from my house for the next couple of days, but when I get home either this Sunday or Monday I'll post the relevant information for you. Cheers, Greyman(Paratus) 18:37, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

  • Hey Carlitos Moff, I am back home now. After taking a look for the information you have requested, it is easier if I just scan the pages that you need and email them to you—I do this all the time with other users. If this is acceptable with you, just send me an email to the address that I have listed on my userpage here, and I'll send you all the information you need. Cheers, Greyman(Paratus) 14:30, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

No, the information is correct. I have "A Revelation", the specific Eye of the Sun module he has a brief mention in, along with two other protocol droids. I'm sorry I did not provide a change summary. Basically, the sentence as stated was ... it did not feel noteworthy enough. Imagine the same sentence appearing in the middle of a similar article, such as "The Trade Federation uses protocol droids to conduct its business, such as TC-14." Almost any large group uses protocal droids. If you disagree, go ahead and put it back in, I won't change it again. (Though I would move it so it doesn't break up talking about Thurm Loogg). Crystorix 00:26, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

  • OK, I'm done with A Revelation, so 3B's no longer an orphaned page. He's also linked from the other two protocol droids. So should I remove him again, or do you want to? Crystorix 01:03, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I promise that I am fifteen years old. Thank you for your kind comments. Belated congratulations on the birth of your child. -- AdmirableAckbar [Talk] 13:13, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Re:Confirm quoteEdit

No, it's not rude at all. You're just lucky you caught me; I'm gradually becoming more of a stranger to this wiki. The quote is, sadly, accurate as is: KOTOR 1 was a LOT better at referring to the T-series as utility droids than KOTOR 2 was. Take a look on the discussion page for T3-M4, under "Astromech?" I was arguing your side. Yet, they manage to call him astromech a few times; in my opinion, the opening scene with him actually repairing a ship astro-mech style was a canonical blunder. I think the standard we have here is to acknowledge it behind the scenes, before looking the other way. -BaronGrackle 08:14, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

RE: 3D-4X (Fourex) Edit

I removed nothing from that page. Everything is still there. --Jedimca0(Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 14:59, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Re:Moxin Tark quote Edit

I just thought the previous version looked better without the context, though you do make a good point. Feel free to change it back. :-) -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 07:22, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
