Sig Edit

Haha, you copied my sig! It's not anything bad, just wanted to point out I noticed.—DarthtylerTalk 21:59, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

Hehe, to be honest, I just had no idea how to make one so I just copy and pasted one randomly and threw my name into it. lol. Hope I didn't violate some sort of courtsey thing or something, I'm fairly new to this game. :) Unsigned comment by Colinmcev (talk • contribs).
Go to preferences, nickname, copy and paste the code, and press raw sigs. Then save the changes. Oh, and I don't care if you use it, to be honest, I stole it from someone else too :) And now I have a scuba diver too!—Darthtyler Scuba_Diver.gif Talk 22:07, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Hey, I just wanted to see if you were going to address the remaining objections for Zekka Thyne. I'd hate to see it not pass after coming so close. -- Ozzel 03:19, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Hey Ozzel, thanks for asking. I do plan to address them, but I just started a new job and I've been crazy busy. When does the time limit expire?Unsigned comment by Colinmcev (talk • contribs).
There's not really a specific time for when it would be removed; it's just up to the Inquisitorius if they decide it has been stagnant for too long. But their next meeting probably won't be for at least a week or two, and even then, if they know you're still interested (and I've made it known that you are), they might let it stay on even longer. And, of course, even if it does get removed, you can always renominate it. -- Ozzel 05:21, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

SW galaxiesEdit

Hey, I dunno if you're still looking for Zekka stuff from Galaxies, but this should be all the help you need → If you click the links to the left of Zekka it gives details of the missions he hands out. It's fairly accurate and reliable, and I've used it several times for articles I've written that have appeared in Galaxies. I hope that'll help you. Cheers, -- AdmirableAckbar [Talk] 20:09, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Re: ZekkaEdit

Hey there. Just wanted to let you know that I've been watching Zekka on the FAN page, and the only thing holding me back from giving it my Inq vote is the information that is missing from Galaxies. Per FAN rule #9, all available information from appearances/sources (other than where the subject is only {{Mo}}) needs to be included in an FAN for its nomination to be successful. If that link above that AdmirableAckbar gave you doesn't have the information you need, you might want to hop onto IRC and ask anyone in there if they are able to grab the info from you. Once that's all sorted out, I have no problem reviewing it again and giving it my vote at that time. Cheers, Greyman(Paratus) 02:58, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

  • Regarding the comments you made to a few users regarding Zekka, I thought you might want to know that you should add new messages to the bottom of their talk pages. Keep up the good work on the nom, and have a nice day. Hobbes15(Tiger Headquarters) 04:30, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

More ZekkaEdit

  • Greetings Colin. I'll be happy to take a look at Zekka and offer suggestions. I see you've already been linked to one pretty good SWG site that I generally use for that sort of information. If you need anything more specific, I suggest you contact Azizlight or Jaymach as they both have some Galaxies resources. As a member of the Inquisitorius, I do think that the information is necessary in order for the article to become a Featured Article, though if for some unforeseen reason the nomination fails, it would be a shoo-in for GA. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 15:54, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

More...More ZekkaEdit

Looked over it. Probably quick fixes, then I'd be happy to support as long as the Galaxies stuff is added. Cull Tremayne 01:02, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

Who else? Edit

Now that a few Inqs have posted reviews of Zekka on the FAN page, I thought you might be interested in fixing them. You're very close to finishing this nom off, and I think the stuff aside from Galaxies should not be difficult to revise. Also, you might want to consider coming onto IRC to ask some other Inquistors what was decided about his Galaxies info during yesterday's meeting; I'm not exactly sure what consensus is. Anyway, keep it up—I really think you can pull this nom through if you fix these last objections. Hobbes(Tiger's Lair) 16:35, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

  • It has been decided by the Inquisitorius that Thyne's Galaxies character be given his own article, as they are cosmetically not the same character at all. This is following the precedent set by AdmirableAckbar with Chertyl Ruluwoor (Human). All that remains for Zekka Thyne to become a featured article is for the rest of the objections on the featured article nominations page to be addressed. As the Inquisitorius would very much like to see this article make it, please turn your attention to these objections, address them, and don't worry about the Galaxies nonsense. Thank you. Graestan(Talk) 17:02, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
  • I've noticed that you haven't been around for a while, but you might be interested in noting that there have been a few reviews on Zekka since you've been away. You're pretty close to passing this, so I hope you're still interested. If not, you can always try putting it up for a Good article nomination, which is a bit less rigorous than FAN. You've got the base down, just finish fine-tuning Thyne, and it'll probably make FA. Hobbes(Tiger's Lair) 21:01, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
    • Hey, glad you're back! I see you've re-nommed Zekka, and I think it's probably pretty close to reaching FA status, so I'll have a look at it again later and either object or support on the FAN page. Also, you may want to look at this page to check out some of the objections that were up before the nomination was removed. Good luck, and I hope you continue to contribute. Hobbes(Tiger's Lair) 02:18, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
      • Colin, I've not forgotten about looking at Zekka; I should be able to do it this Thursday. Thanks for your work on the article. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 00:09, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Keep it up! Edit

Hey, Colin. Once again, good work on Zekka Thyne. I, like everyone, am glad that you came back to finish it off. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say that I hope you continue to work towards nominating more articles for FA status. Sometimes it seems like we just have the same people constantly nominating things, and it's good to get some fresh blood and additional contributors like yourself. Cheers! Toprawa and Ralltiir 09:03, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

  • Per Tope. Excellent work with Evir Derricote, too. Also, I'm curious as to how you got your hands on this image. Thanks, -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 16:41, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
    • It's fine. I was just curious, is all :) Cheers, -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 19:15, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
      • Hey Colin. Nice work on Thyne. I saw that you're going to do Evir next so I had a look. One thing that will need to be done is to provide a source for this image you uploaded. Thanks. --Eyrezer 08:14, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
        • Glad you've fixed it :). Incidentally, make sure Evir's P&T is all in past tense; otherwise, it looks pretty good from a cursory glance. Hobbes(Tiger's Lair) 23:54, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
  • We don't allow fan art on the Wookieepedia, so as a result we require all our images to be sourced to an official publication. As such, that Borleias pic will have to go unless it can be sourced otherwise. Obviously, neither of us know where it is from. Planets are commonly given fan images, unfortunately, which is why I presume this is one. --Eyrezer 04:18, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
    • No worries. Actually, quite a few of the other pics in Evir's article also need to be sourced. To do that, add this template to the images pages and fill in the fields as far as possible. :) --Eyrezer 09:16, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Re: Zekka Thyne? Edit

Hello, ColinMcev.

I just got your message. I apologize that I had to take a week sabbatical the night you left me a message due to Darth Real-Life and I just received it. Unfortunately, I won't be able to look at it immediately. I will check into it tomorrow evening (Tuesday) if it does not reach FA status sometime between now and then. I see you've done great work with it, just from the comments. I look forward to reading it, and I apologize for the delay. Have a wonderful day. Master Aban Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 05:35, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Derricote SWE entry Edit

Hey, Colin. I've got a pretty extensive Star Wars Encyclopedia for Evir Derricote here. Use anything or nothing: "An Imperial general, he was given command of the small base of Borleias, the only inhabited world in the Pyria system. Unknown to the Empire, Gen. Evir Derricote was using his post as a profitable front for smuggling black market goods. Toadlike in appearance and demanor, with an abruptly curving mouth and a jiggling double chin, the general had reactivated the Alderaan Biotics hydroponics facility, producing goods that had been almost impossible to find since the annihilation of Alderaan. The general was also using Imperial forces to protect his operation. Because of the Borleian base's secrecy, Bothan spies who sliced into the Imperial Net did not discover it. When Rogue Squadron and Alliance forces first attempted to penetrate Borleias's defenses, they were badly outnumbered and outsmarted. They later learned the reasons for their initial failure. Because of the attack, the Empire was alerted to General Derricote's secret operation, and he was ordered to return to Imperial Center where he would work under the watchful eye of Director of Imperial Intelligence Ysanne Isard. Isard gave the general the task of developing the Krytos virus, which had the capacity to kill most of the nonhuman citizens on Coruscant, although if caught in time, it could be cured with bacta. The virus was released into the planet's water supply before the arrival of Rebel forces, in hopes that the Alliance would bankrupt itself purchasing the bacta necessary to cure the alien population. Because the Alliance arrived earlier than expected, the virus failed to infect as many people as projected. Unjustly blamed for the Krytos project failure, General Derricote was imprisoned at Lusankya, a buried Star Destroyer serving as a prison facility. He encountered Rogue Squadron pilot Corran Horn there and attempted to kill him, but was himself killed by Horn with the assistance of Jan Dodonna." Toprawa and Ralltiir 03:16, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

  • Not a problem, Colin. Don't feel obligated to take on any responsibilities that may be a burden to you. Do what you are comfortable with. :) Toprawa and Ralltiir 03:07, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

  • I will certainly read it, though it will have to wait until (small pattern here) Thursday. That's when I usually try and do my Inqing, but thank you for the notice. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 05:23, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Zekka missing info Edit

Hey, Colin. I recently received my copy of Star Wars Adventure Journal 12, in which Side Trip was first published, and I noticed some additional Zekka Thyne information missing from your article. The info is found under his RPG stats at the end of the story, apparently only found here. So, if you would, please add the following to the article :)

  • "Zekka Thyne was little more than a youthful human-alien drifter when he was recruited into the infamous swoop gang, The Skulls. After building a reputation as a brutal, capable, and violent criminal (quite a feat, given the vicious nature of the Skulls), Thyne drifted to the Corellian system, once again developing notoriety as a relentless and dangerous thug in the employ of local loansharks. Currently, Thyne acts as an operative for the criminal organization, Black Sun, in the Corellian system. While there is little evidence to support the theory that Thyne was personally selected for his current 'assignment,' by Prince Xizor, many members of CorSec are convinced that the brutal criminal has earned favor in the upper echelons of Black Sun." Toprawa and Ralltiir 03:05, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Krytos Edit

Hey, Colin. I made a little wording change to the quarantine part. Could you please confirm that this change matches what you mean? "and both the world and ships coming from Imperial Center were quarantined" Toprawa and Ralltiir 06:06, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

  • Hey, here's a little bit on the Krytos that I found in the Star Wars Encyclopedia that I don't really see anywhere in the article, and should be added. If you would kindly do the honors. :) "The Krytos virus could be frozen and thawed without loss of effectiveness. Because of a low flesh-contact infection rate - only 20 percent - it was decided to release it into the planet's water supply." Toprawa and Ralltiir 06:23, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! Chack Jadson (Talk) 17:09, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! Edit

Thanks, Colin. I always enjoy reading your articles. Keep up the good work. :) Toprawa and Ralltiir 19:22, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

  • Welcome back! I saw you're working on Lara Notsil and since I've sorta made it my mission to FA a bunch of Wraiths, just drop me a line if you need any sources or anything. Also, there's a rather large article you can use for reference as well. Good luck and have fun. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 16:13, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
    • No problem, and you're not intruding at all. I don't "own" any of those articles or anything. Glad to see you're enjoying the work and you liked the WS article. Cheers. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 16:19, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
      • I'll probably get to them a little later this week, but for certain I will read them. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 18:21, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: FAN Edit

Heya, Colin. Glad to see you back. I saw your recent nominations and definitely plan to give them a look through. :) Feel free to stop by IRC if you have any questions. I'm on there frequently, and things can be handled more directly. Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:22, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

  • I'd be happy to look over them for you. I'll get to them soon. Chack Jadson (Talk) 11:23, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
    • Welcome back. I took a look through the first two, with an objection to Groznik that I think can be easily fixed. I will try to take a look at our identity-less Wraith Squadron friend later. I ran a cursory look and fixed a dialogue, but I will get back to it later. Master Aban Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 04:07, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

  • Well, did you mention Wookieepedia in the e-mail? I'd prefer we kinda get our eggs in one basket, since I'm looking at the interview request being sent off soon, so could you forward me the e-mail? I'd like to not have redundant questions. My address is (My Wookieepedia Username) (at) Wookieepedia Dot Com. Also, feel free to participate in the actual interview process, whether that be adding questions or making suggestions or whatever. If Allston answers your questions, please forward that to me as well, and I will post it as an unofficial interview. In the future, though, please follow the procedure on WP:INT, just so we keep things organized. You're a journalist, I'm sure you understand (and don't worry about this, it's new). I'll look over Gara probably tomorrow or Saturday. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 21:11, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
    • Thanks for doing that, Colin. And don't worry about it at all; this is only a couple weeks old. Atarumaster88 20px (Talk page) 03:03, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Hey, just thought I'd let you know I'm reading Gara now. It's a long article, so I'm spreading it out over several days. Hopefully I'll have my objections up soon. It's been very good so far. Chack Jadson (Talk) 23:09, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Groznik Edit

Hey, Colin. I added a reference note from the Rogue Squadron Handbook to the bit about Groznik being imprisoned on Endor, and did a little but of further tweaking to move some other ref notes around. Just wanted to ask you to go in and make sure all of the sourcing in that paragraph is correct now. Feel free to correct anything. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 18:04, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Re: Karka Edit

Wow, eagle eyed! Thanks for shimmying that around. I've put a couple more things to alter on. Darth Xadún(Consult the Holocron) 19:31, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for the slow reply to your GAN, but I've edited the intro of Peshk if you'd like to check it. --Eyrezer 04:22, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

  • So the first sentence of the intro is to be a summary of the intro which is a summary of the article? :p Just kidding. I was just trying to avoid it going RS then BMA then back to RS again. --Eyrezer 04:03, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Talk pages Edit

Hey, Colin. I noticed you have been creating talk pages just to add the {{Talkheader}} template even in the absence of any actual talk page messages. Just thought I'd let you know that you don't really need to do that, and it's kind of unnecessary. Thanks. :) Toprawa and Ralltiir 17:28, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

  • For the most part, yeah. It's just unnecessary to create pages that wouldn't otherwise be in existence. Toprawa and Ralltiir 17:49, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Re:User talk:Graestan Edit

We were hoping so. If it wasn't you, I was going to sneer at Wikipedia. But then I noticed how much Pennsylvania stuff you edit over there. Anyhow, good show, and it brought in some laughs. Graestan(Talk) 02:23, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Congrats Edit

150px Mozel Tov!

NaruHina would like to say good luck. Hope she looks happier than this. :)

IRC Edit

Hey, Colin. If you have a free moment in the coming days, I'd like to talk with you over IRC. Thanks :) Toprawa and Ralltiir 01:44, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

  • Ah, sorry I've missed you twice now. We'll run into each other eventually :P Toprawa and Ralltiir 15:57, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

  • I have now added the details on this, there wasn't really that much --Jinzler 15:02, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Re: User names Edit

Hey, Colin. Long time no see. You're more than welcome to change your username, and I understand your reasoning behind it. As far as I know, there's no way to switch names and still keep your contributions, however. All you need to do is start a new account, and it would probably be best to leave a note on the userpage of Colinmcev saying that both you and your new account are one in the same so no one gets confused and thinks you're trying to edit under two names maliciously. Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:28, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
