Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source.

Do not remove talk page and forum comments, including your own, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —SFH (talk) 04:59, October 13, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Question Edit

We say then that the world is located within Republic or Separatist space. Without direct confirmation, we can't assume affiliations through the maps. CC7567 (talk) 20:50, October 27, 2012 (UTC)

  • See the forum; SavageBob has a good answer to your inquiry. CC7567 (talk) 15:43, October 28, 2012 (UTC)

Talkheader Edit

Hello. Just a heads up that you don't need to add the "Talkheader" template to blank talk pages. Try to reserve them for pages that already have a discussion history and don't yet have the template posted. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 01:31, November 2, 2012 (UTC)

Image cropping Edit

Just a head's-up, in case you weren't aware of this... Before you upload a TCW image, please make sure to crop the image to remove those black letterboxed bars from the top and bottom of the image. I've already cropped your previous two uploads for you. I wasn't sure if you were aware that they need to be cropped, so I'm telling you know. :) Trak Nar Ramble on 04:03, December 2, 2012 (UTC)

  • As far as I know, there's no way to do it on Wookieepedia itself. I saved the images and cropped them in Photoshop. Trak Nar Ramble on 04:15, December 2, 2012 (UTC)
    • Photoshop is a program that I use. Other programs that can be used are Paint.NET and the GIMP, which are free image programs. Trak Nar Ramble on 04:43, December 2, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Florrum Edit

It's not entirely clear, to be honest. Grievous obviously claims control of Florrum in "A Necessary Bond," but has apparently withdrawn his forces by "Revival." Beyond what's shown in the episodes, it doesn't look like we can assume anything. CC7567 (talk) 19:06, December 8, 2012 (UTC)

  • I would say it would be fine to add it to the article's infobox affiliations, but any lasting connection has yet to be clarified. Beyond the Ohnaka Gang's constant presence, not much else about Florrum's alignment has been shown. CC7567 (talk) 23:54, December 8, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Images Edit

When you select "Save As" in the File menu, and you're shown the dialogue box where you save the file, there should be a drop-down menu where you can change the file type. I haven't used GIMP in years, but from what I can remember, saving files with it was still the same as with other programs; they tend to use the same save file dialogue and options. Trak Nar Ramble on 07:32, December 24, 2012 (UTC)

Iego image Edit

The two pictures of Iego that you recently uploaded were poor quality images and have therefore been deleted. Additionally, the current main image of the Iego article is fine and does not need to be replaced. Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research (Comlink) 19:30, December 24, 2012 (UTC)

  • Before attempting to replace any planet images in article infoboxes, please bring up the proposed change on the relevant talk page first. Further image-related disruption may result in a block from editing. Thank you for your cooperation. Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research (Comlink) 02:18, December 26, 2012 (UTC)
    • This is your final warning. Further disruption will result in a block from editing. Grand Moff Tranner Imperial Department of Military Research (Comlink) 01:16, December 27, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Fauna Edit

You're right; my mistake. Thanks for correcting that. CC7567 (talk) 19:48, December 29, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Timeline Edit

Leland Chee, the manager of the Holocron continuity database, gave input for the current episode timeline, which was first published in Star Wars: The Ultimate Visual Guide: Updated and Expanded last April. He's been slowly filling in the holes in the timeline in a blog series on the Official Blog. The other publication that looks like it'll tie everything up, at least through the hundredth episode, is the upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Episode Guide. There's no way to say if and when there will be no issues with the timeline, but according to Leland Chee we're going to have to wait for the series to end for TCW to be reconciled with the original EU timeline of the Clone Wars. CC7567 (talk) 06:36, January 5, 2013 (UTC)

  • We don't know. Any information released on the book will be added to its article. CC7567 (talk) 07:42, January 6, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Devaron Edit

Whatever is in the episode is what we know; anything else is speculation. The two conflicts have so far been portrayed to be separate, as the Battle of Devaron ended in "Children of the Force," while "Monster" started the battle at the temple. CC7567 (talk) 08:57, January 13, 2013 (UTC)

  • It seems prudent to assume that the Separatists conquered the Temple, but it's already implied to some degree (at least in the article's infobox) with the fact that the battle resulted in a Separatist victory. 06:13, January 14, 2013 (UTC)

Re: KohlmaEdit

Actually it is, the gravitational tides and rain are unsourced and attributed to Bogg 4. Rokkur Shen (talk) 03:53, January 19, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Dooku's LairEdit

Do you mind telling me exactly what's disputed on Dooku's Lair? Rokkur Shen (talk) 04:04, January 19, 2013 (UTC)

  • It has been established in no less than two sources that the lair was on Kohlma and that Jango's pursuit of Komari Vosa was a test by Dooku. Take note, at the end of the game Bounty Hunter Dooku is actually present and kills Komari. He knew she was there all along and his proximity was most likely a way of keeping an eye on her. Rokkur Shen (talk) 04:17, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
    • Sidious was able to mask his presence. It is more than probable that Dooku could also (until he wished her to know). Rokkur Shen (talk) 04:29, January 19, 2013 (UTC)
      • Here, hope this helps. From Dooku's page: "Dooku also mastered the Qey'tek meditation, which allowed him to hide his presence in the Force. Opposing Jedi were usually unable to pierce this concealment, although Kenobi succeeded on Tythe when he was previously aware Dooku was present." Rokkur Shen (talk) 12:57, January 19, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Umbara Edit

Unfortunately, I just went back to school, so I won't have access to the majority of my collection (including those books) for a while. I don't remember offhand what they had to say about Umbara, sorry. CC7567 (talk) 16:08, January 21, 2013 (UTC)

While all good-faith contributions to Wookieepedia are appreciated, we ask that you please refer to Wookieepedia:Images, which can be found under the "other policies and guidelines" link in your welcome message, and familiarize yourself with the sourcing and licensing requirements before uploading any more images. The only uploading method supported by Wookieepedia, Special:Upload, will prompt you to enter this information. Wikia's non-standard upload forms are not supported under Wookieepedia policy, and ignorance of the uploading rules is not an acceptable excuse. Hello Separatist! Edit

Hello there, this is Dan Grievous!

So happy that there is somebody else on here that I see is a big CIS fan. I see you are working hard to update and improve the CIS articles. We have to join forces for imbetterment of the CIS articles on this site. What do you say? --Dangrievous (talk) 22:27, February 3, 2013 (UTC)

  • I had in mind any articles related to CIS leadership like the Council or the Commanders... and even awesome droids. The CIS deserve some editing love...--Dangrievous (talk) 19:53, February 4, 2013 (UTC)

Zabrak Edit

Pythonis, before you delete content from articles, can you please find a source that claims that Maul was not a Zabrak? It needs to specifically say his new species. Thanks, JangFett (Talk) 06:47, February 9, 2013 (UTC)

  • Please do not continue to revert back and forth on Savage Opress. The article is turning into an edit war, with the risk of breaking the three-revert rule, which is a blockable offense. If you disagree with another user, please start a discussion on the talk page instead of continuing to revert edits. Otherwise, the page is going to be locked from editing to prevent further edit warring. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 15:26, February 9, 2013 (UTC)
    • Please know that Wookieepedia is not a source and somethings (including bts material) could be unsourced, unverified information and/or speculation. If does say so, then that is fine, but the BTS needs to properly reflect this. If a newer source changes Maul's species, action must be taken in his article. Please be more careful in the future. JangFett (Talk) 18:01, February 9, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Sabotage images Edit

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll delete the duplicate one that I uploaded. CC7567 (talk) 17:51, February 9, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Assault Edit

The Trade Federation's allegiance hasn't been entirely mapped out chronology-wise by the TV series (or by the EU), but it—as well as Cato Neimoidia—started out as part of the Republic at the beginning of the war, as seen in "Senate Spy" and the fact of Lott Dod's representation of the Federation in the Senate. The only other thing that we know is that by the time of Labyrinth of Evil, in which the Battle of Cato Neimoidia is depicted, the Federation is clearly aligned with the Separatists in a way that we haven't yet seen in the TV series. We don't know what will eventually happen, but that middle ground between the Federation's allegiance with the Republic, and later the Separatists, is apparently where the "Sabotage" battle takes place, so it seems prudent to assume that the planet was still part of the Republic at the time of "Sabotage." CC7567 (talk) 05:30, February 11, 2013 (UTC)

Hi there. I created two articles for personal lightsabers and I had the images ready to put in the infobox but it doesn't seem to fit the entire box - the colour of the box shows around the image. So I put the images in the article and not in the box. Is there anyway to fix that? Thanks. 07:18, February 11, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Teth Edit

For consistency's sake, I'll remove it, but I just want to point out that it's not technically incorrect. Thanks for bringing that up. CC7567 (talk) 05:41, February 16, 2013 (UTC)

Battle of Umbara aftermath Edit

Hello there, per the layout guide, aftermath sections are for anything relevant to the battle, not just the planet, and that includes the bit about Krell. Please quit removing it, as I don't wish to perpetuate an edit war with you. Corellian PremierJedi symbolThe Force will be with you always 16:55, February 16, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Tactical droid Edit

For the most part, yes, it should be reasonable to assume that they were the same height barring modifications. CC7567 (talk) 21:19, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

Unused images Edit

If you can find a legitimate article in which to place an image currently on the unused images page, then you may remove it from the list. However, only an admin, typically Darth Culator maintains it, may add an image to the list. If an image is unused, it will end up on this list, even if it isn't this go round. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 02:46, February 20, 2013 (UTC)

Quermia Edit

I honestly cannot remember. Feel free to remove that info. Cheers. Stake black msg 19:00, March 9, 2013 (UTC)

CIS Edit

Since we do not know when the planets became capitals, it would be best to not identify them as "later campaigns" without a source. Thanks, JangFett (Talk) 16:56, July 1, 2013 (UTC)

  • They are considered capitals due to the Separatist Council being there. That's the issue with TCW vs original continuity. The CIS is more like a Rebellion with planet hopping captials instead of a static planet like Coruscant. I wish a guide would further clarify the capitals throughout the Clone Wars. JangFett (Talk) 02:38, July 3, 2013 (UTC)

Linking Edit

Hey Pythonis, please take a look at your edit here. You don't have to pipelink like that. Instead, do senator or homeworld. Doing homeworld is redundant and incorrect formatting. JangFett (Talk) 15:33, July 5, 2013 (UTC)

Re:Formatting Edit

As an example from another TCW article, R3-S6 uses two references in the affiliation parameter: one for his affiliation with the Republic and one for a spy. He was confirmed to be affiliated with the Republic in one TCW episode, but he wasn't confirmed to be a spy until the next TCW episode. Therefore, two references have to be used. I would say that the sourcing in the CIS-Republic article is fine, since apparently the senatorial positions were mentioned in the TCW episode (ex, Senator Amidala). You may source the senators to the episode and the captions to another source, but it would be redundant imo. Does that answer your question? JangFett (Talk) 19:45, July 5, 2013 (UTC)

  • If the episode doesn't mention the senatorial positions, then it's fine. But certain positions, like Padme and/or Bail, as examples, are self sourcing imo. JangFett (Talk) 19:57, July 5, 2013 (UTC)

Image Edit

Hey Pythonis, is there any way to get a clear shot of File:Gossam senator-HOBS.png? If not, then no worries. The other smaller image seemed fine. JangFett (Talk) 15:18, July 8, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Bill and Lawise Edit

It seems that the episode guide is referring to the Republic military enhancement bill, as that is the piece of legislation that Amidala was speaking against. As for Lawise in "A Friend in Need," please take a look at the episode's closing credits; he is credited there as the character. If you are looking to nominate Confederate–Republic peace conference as a GAN, please take note of all of the GAN Rules at the top of the nomination page. In particular, for GAN Rule 3, the Sources section needs to list all sources that mention the peace conference; right now, only the episode guide is listed. Related issues of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Comic UK also need to be checked if they mention the conference. I would recommend taking a look at any of the current Good Articles to see what is generally expected of nominated articles. If you have any questions, let me know. CC7567 (talk) 19:41, July 10, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Kwazel Maw Edit

The initial sources were particularly consistent about capitalizing it as "Kwazel Maw." I understand the confusion, but just because more recent sources have been less consistent (which is the way I personally see it) isn't a reason to assume that the unintentional inconsistency means an intentional adjustment. Plus, for appearances' sake, "Kwazel Maw" is also more appropriate capitalized that way. CC7567 (talk) 08:46, July 18, 2013 (UTC)

  • I don't have that much time to track down some of the older sources, but off the top of my head, the original episode guide, the new episode guide, and The Art of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the latter of which was based directly on production information for the series' first season. (You might also find some additional publications in the Mission to Rodia Sources list. Hopefully that helps.) Also, regarding the UK comics, my time that I have to dedicate to the site is severely limited right now, and will continue in that vein for the next couple weeks, so I apologize, but I don't have the time right now to look up the UK comics. You're welcome to ask around the site to see if other users have access to them; I'm sure there's at least one who does. The Sources list for Lux Bonteri might also be somewhere to start, because I remember some of the UK comic issues mentioned Bonteri in the context of the peace conference (and the other events in "A Friend in Need"). Let me know if there's anything I can do in the meantime. CC7567 (talk) 02:04, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

Vote-farming Edit

This kind of vote-farming is considered bad-form and is strongly discouraged. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 21:36, July 18, 2013 (UTC)

Also, the person has less than 50 main space edits (I checked and there is only three to the userpage), so the votes might not count anyway.--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 21:38, July 18, 2013 (UTC)

Re:Apology Edit

It's all right. JangFett (Talk) 01:57, July 19, 2013 (UTC)

Pythonis, unless an infobox image needs to be changed (for good reason), please stop changing infobox images. Take a look at your edits here. There's simply no reason to to take sides with TCW and use images that come from that source. There's nothing wrong with a detailed infobox image from NEGAS. JangFett (Talk) 14:22, July 22, 2013 (UTC)

  • Sure, I'll take a look. I'll let you know later today. JangFett (Talk) 16:55, July 22, 2013 (UTC)
    • I found nothing. My collection stops at 6.28 and picks up at 6.32. I would find someone that has 6.29-6.31. In 28, it showed information about a TCW episode that came before that Friend in Need episode, so there might be something in a subsequent comic after 6.28. JangFett (Talk) 22:15, July 22, 2013 (UTC)
      • If you continue to remove the image from the infobox, I will have no choice but to block you from editing. Please wait two weeks for proper consensus. Thanks, JangFett (Talk) 02:58, July 24, 2013 (UTC)
        • While it's not in writing (see WP:CON), normally votes go for two weeks and that happened with different articles. We try to standardize it. JangFett (Talk) 03:19, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

Re:UK Edit

Besides CC and I, I'm not sure. Possibly QGJ might have them. I would look at WP:TCW members that took articles to status quality. I hope this helps. JangFett (Talk) 23:26, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

  • Nope, I'm afraid I don't. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 17:45, July 25, 2013 (UTC)
    • Unfortunately, my comic collection is quite limited, so I don't possess the material. However, I suggest that you go and post a forum in Senate hall asking if anybody has that one comic. More people will probably view your request there. Good luck on finding it. 501st dogma(talk) 12:26, August 2, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Bonteri and Ryloth Edit

Regarding Bonteri's resignation, I took the fact that he states "I'm no longer a Separatist either. I won't join the Republic." in "A Friend in Need" as an indication that he severed all of his Separatist ties, including his seat in the Parliament. Regarding the Battle of Ryloth, please see the discussion here and here. (There's been more discussion on both my and Trayus's talk pages, but that is the main one.) The main reason for there being only one article for the entire battle is because there has never been any indication from source material that the events of "Supply Lines" and the Season One "Ryloth" episodes should be treated as separate conflicts. Furthermore, the Twi'lek freedom fighters were still holding out against the Separatists between "Supply Lines" and "Liberty on Ryloth" (it's all in the article), which bridges the events of those two episodes. This isn't the first example of a long-running Clone Wars battle—the Battle of Mygeeto was explicitly confirmed to have lasted two whole years, and yet we have only one article for it because source material treats it as a single conflict, as is the case with Ryloth. Hope that clarifies your question. CC7567 (talk) 20:54, August 6, 2013 (UTC)

Re: vulture droid Edit

In regards to the Vulture droid, there doesn't seem to be a blanket consistency across written material regarding the capitalization of "Vulture" or "vulture." A few publications that capitalize it as "Vulture" are The Clone Wars: No Prisoners, Labyrinth of Evil, and The Phantom Menace: The Expanded Visual Dictionary, to name a few. (Technically, the official class name of the model is "Variable Geometry Self-Propelled Battle Droid, Mark I" or "Vulture-class droid starfighter," and due to the latter, it could be capitalized as "Vulture" droid due to our Manual of Style policy, "When it is a noun…") In any case, I'm having someone I know ask Leland Chee in regards to what the Holocron databsae uses, which will hopefully tie up the problem.

In regards to the peace conference, Star Wars: The Clone Wars Comic UK 6.33 has a guide to "A Friend in Need," and it offers no new information beyond what is in the episode. In the event that I've overlooked a source or two (which is entirely possible), I would again recommend checking the Sources lists for Lux Bonteri and the Separatist Parliament, because all sources that mention the peace conference (textually or otherwise) need to be listed in its own Sources list. Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with. CC7567 (talk) 22:33, August 15, 2013 (UTC)

  • Neither 6.34 or 6.36 mention the peace conference. Also, Leland Chee hasn't been very responsive lately, so I'm unsure when a response will come. CC7567 (talk) 21:03, September 8, 2013 (UTC)

TF-1726 GAN Edit

Hey Pythonis. Please take note of the two-week inactivity rule for addressing objections on the GAN. Some of the outstanding objections to your TF-1726 GAN have gone two weeks without being addressed. Because this is your first GAN, I'll give you a few more days to address the objections; otherwise a removal vote will be started. (You can always renominate the article if you don't have enough time right now, so don't worry if it gets removed.) As always, if you need any help, just let me know. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 18:05, September 28, 2013 (UTC)

Queen Miraj Scintel Edit

Hello there, fellow Separatist fan.

I apologize for the late reply. I have been away from editing anything on Wookieepedia, but I saw your message.

I think it was mentioned that she was a member in the article about the Separatist Council. Those parts of the article have a reference to "Star Wars: The Clone Wars 5: Slaves of the Republic - Chapter 5: A Slave now, a Slave forever".

I do not know how clear it is made in the issue, but I am more concerned how Miraj's status be affected after her appearance in "The Clone Wars" TV series. The show's arc had no mention of her being part of the Council, but it also removed any appearances of other members of the Council since we had Shu Mai and Wat Tambor appear in Comic book version of the story.

I hope that the whole situation is made clear in the future!

Cheers and May the CIS be with you!--Dangrievous (talk) 12:00, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

Please actually read the policy before you start removing information from articles and reverting other users. This newly ratified policy clearly provides an exception specifically for instances like Star Wars Rebels: "(An exception to this is for a series that has not yet been released, where its episodes or issues do not yet have articles. In that case, the information on the series' appearances may be contained within the series' article until such time that it can be moved to the appropriate episode or issue.)" [...] "Note: the text in the parantheses in the middle of the proposal is an addendum regarding exceptions such as Star Wars Rebels." Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 03:12, February 16, 2014 (UTC)

Hello, Mr. Darth Pythonis. Can you please put under the appearances section of the page for the TV show, "Star Wars Rebels" the names of C-3PO and R2-D2 since it has been confirmed both droids will appear in the series through this link: Please reply to me. Thanks.

Uploads, again Edit

While all good-faith contributions to Wookieepedia are appreciated, we ask that you please refer to Wookieepedia:Images, which can be found under the "other policies and guidelines" link in your welcome message, and familiarize yourself with the sourcing and licensing requirements before uploading any more images. The only uploading method supported by Wookieepedia, Special:Upload, will prompt you to enter this information. Wikia's non-standard upload forms are not supported under Wookieepedia policy, and ignorance of the uploading rules is not an acceptable excuse. Continued violation of the image policy or falsification of any information in an upload description are considered vandalism and will likely result in a block. Thank you. Canon tags Edit

Please stop tagging Legends articles with type=canon. As TCW is part of both continuities, new Canon versions of those articles must be created; one cannot simply change the article from Legends to canon. Thank you. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 21:25, July 5, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Battles Edit

Hello. Please make sure that you're familiar with how we've been splitting canon and Legends articles and treating them separately. I believe the TCW event articles that you're referring to are all Legends articles, which incorporate EU material. Moreover, we do in fact have exact dates for the majority of TCW events, as you can see via TCWdates, which allows us to discern which TCW battles were concurrent with long-lasting EU ones such as Drongar and Atraken, at least in the Legends continuity. Hope that helps. CC7567 (talk) 05:51, December 21, 2014 (UTC)

  • Again, I believe you need to familiarize yourself with our current system of separating canon and Legends content into separate articles. For example, Battle of Christophsis is the Legends article for the event and incorporates EU material, whereas Battle of Christophsis is the canon article and does not incorporate EU material. CC7567 (talk) 21:02, December 23, 2014 (UTC)
    • Forum:CT:Tab system and WP:CANON. Only the TCW film and television episodes are considered canon; all supplementary material is Legends, since it's always been part of the EU. CC7567 (talk) 07:26, December 25, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Sectors Edit

At this point, The Essential Atlas and its companion material, including the maps on, are all considered to be Legends. CC7567 (talk) 03:37, December 28, 2015 (UTC)
