The Far Orbit Project Edit

Hello, Grand Moff Tranner here. I plan on working on the Osvald Teshik article, and I need info on what he does in The Far Orbit Project. Do you have the sourcebook, and if so, could you help me out? Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 15:31, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

RE: Edit

Thanks for the advice. They really shouldnt have people like that in charge! lol its like if Oj Simpson was president, or a police officer! Wed all be screwed! lolJediBob 19:49, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Templates Edit

I noticed earlier that when you added the verify template to a couple articles, it looks like you put the entire code into the article, but you don't need to do that. When you want to add the verify template to an article, all you have to do is type this: {{verify}} in the article and the template will come up automatically when you save the page, without the need to use the whole code. The same goes for all the other templates found at Wookieepedia:Templates, you just have to type the name of the template in these brackets {{ }} and the template will show up in the article when you save the page. 96.233.179.48 00:34, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

  • Thanks! Doluk 02:49, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Disambig Edit

Hey, about disambiguation pages, when I was telling you how to make them I made a mistake, the template at the bottom shouldn't be category, it should be {{Disambiguation}}. Sorry 'bout that - Kingpin13Cantina Battle Ground 12:27, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

SH/KB maintenance Edit

Next time you see KB topics in the SH, feel free to shift them over by making this small change. Graestan(Talk) 04:04, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

SorryEdit

Just wanted to say I'm sorry. Saw one of the other wookieepedians get banned for insulting an admin. I'll keep it down and swallow my complaints. I guess I just got mad over the fact that they still have not determined its place in the canon. I looked on the wookieepedia clone wars page and WE have already figured out where it stands. I think it is kinda cool that the wookieepedians can probably trump anything lucasfilm can throw at us in the collective knowledge department. What do you think?User:Revanthereformer1138

New IdeaEdit

That is what got me upset in the first place. They are willing to just throw all the other clone wars stories in the trash for the sake of this show?User:Revanthereformer1138

I have seen all the continuity errors in other places besides the clone wars. I have had a realization. I should not be venting all my anger on the clone wars. I should push for THE GREAT STAR WARS RETCON. I will push this to lucasfilm,(not wookieepedia). It states the intention that lucasfilm should Recton and sort every single continuity error to date from the clone wars to the Bane books and Jedi vs. sith to the whole Dark trooper disagreement, along with all the diferent versions of the force unleashed. Waddayah think?User:Revanthereformer1138

Re: TFU Campaign Guide Edit

Unfortunately it does not list starships' and vehicles' dimensions. It does provide info about speed, numbers of crew and passengers, cargo handling and consumables, hyperdrive class and cost, as well as the game stats though. Mauser 18:14, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

  • Yes, somethimes the dimensions are mentioned in the description section, but it is relatively rare, and mostly for the ships, which dimensions are already well-known. Mauser 18:21, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

Re: The MalevolenceEdit

Oh yeah, there's a preview thread over on WOTC's site. Since one of the head honchos commented on it, I assume it's legit. One of the posters are acumulating RPG-related info, as well as general contents and from a source there that apparantly got it early, the Malevolence is identified as a Subjugator-class heavy cruiser (using Uppercase letters, but that's usually not done here on the Wookiee, so I didn't reproduce the name exactly). Bit disappointed they didn't use "battleship" but it'll make for some fun discussions. At least it wasn't "SSD", heheh. VT-16 18:56, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

  • You're welcome! Been trying to get some quotes from the CSWE. I'm not due to getting it until around the 20th. Do you have it or someone you know? Looking for some confirmation. VT-16 21:19, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
  • Ah thanks! I'll look out for it myself, getting it in package mail as a gift, but it's taking long. VT-16 21:59, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
    • You wouldn't happen to have the Encyclopedia by now, do you? I'm looking for transcripts of a few ships, Praetor-class and Procurator-class Star Battlecruisers, Mandator-class Star Dreadnaught and anything technical or name-related to the Maelstrom. If the entries are short enough on the first three, I'd like to know the exact passages, so the articles can be edited or added to accordingly. The Maelstrom isn't as important though, it's just anything related to specs, class and eventual fate. Thanks in advance! =) VT-16 21:52, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
      • Thanks alot! That helps clear up a few things. Hope you have luck finding some unknown ships in there, I know T&R managed to find the "battle platforms" from the Skywalkers comic short, given the designation "Conqueror-class atmospheric dreadnaught". Stuff like that is fun. Do have one more request. Is there anything on the ship types "Star Cruiser", "Star Battlecruiser", "Star Dreadnaught"? Thanks again! VT-16 11:38, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
        • Thanks! I'll give you a heads-up if I find something in turn. =) VT-16 16:30, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
          • Ok, I got some fun little trivia. The Sovereign (of the Sovereign-class) was apparantly used (stolen?) by Zsinj. The Defender/Nebula and Republic classes are mixed up. The Imperator and Tector are mentioned as being "among the largest warships" of the Old Republic in the CW, which is a coy way of saying there were even larger designs. Aggressor-class destroyer now called Aggressor-class Star Destroyer, and Zann's Merciless apparantly started out as an Imperial ship (a testbed, no doubt). VT-16 22:13, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
            • Me neither, and Jerec's the Vengeance SSD is so far only mentioned briefly in Sariss' bio. The fun and problem is that whenever I go searching for something, I end up reading about something completely different. I did like the line about the ISD and Tector being among the largest, not the largest, I even hear the Subjugator-class (Malevolence's class) is described in the CW Campaign Guide as being among the largest type of ship produced by the Separatists, so there's even more out there. Also, apparantly Alsakan produced heavy battlecruisers in 3,000 BBY, that inspired the Invincible-class. I assume this was an arms-race between Coruscant and Alsakan. VT-16 19:01, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
              • I remembered the reference in that book, but it seemed that was only about ancient designs. Maybe the Alsakan updated it in 3,000 BBY? Also, apparantly the TCWCG says the Subjugator-class was one of the largest ships to come out of Seperatist shipyards, according to a poster on TFN, so I assume that's word by word a direct quote. Either way, it's cool and adds to the fleet's diversity. VT-16 21:17, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Re: Institue of Starship EngineersEdit

Your welcome, thank you for fixing my mistakes, I appreciate that, Feel free to correct whenever, and I will try to make less mistakes as well. I hope to contribute some more in the future :) User:ZaruenMakai

Gree Edit

Thanks for the offer. If I need any help, I'll let you know - nice to know someone else is interested in them. I never usually start working on articles unless I have all the sources myself, and I need a side distraction to stop my work on the DarkStryder Campaign from boring me. - Cavalier One20px(Squadron channel) 13:00, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Article sourcing Edit

Hey Doluk, glad to see you trying for your first GAN. I wasn't sure if you were aware of this, and by no means is this an objection, but when you have only one source or appearance, you don't have to add ref tags at all in the article. It is just assumed that all of your information came from that source. It is purely a personal preference as to whether or not you add the tags. Some users do, some don't. Madel Wharen is fine in terms of sourcing, and you don't need to change that. I just wanted to let you know for future reference. Thanks. Cylka-talk- 23:56, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: Brianna in CSWEEdit

Thanks, your help would be greatly appreciated! Judging by the complete lack of responses, you'll probably be the first/only one offering to help. :P JethLordMasterYing yang copy (Talk) 01:11, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

CSWE Edit

Hey Doluk. I don't want to be a bother, but I was wondering if I could trouble you to look up some information for me in the CSWE for another KotOR article? I would really appreciate it. Thanks. Cylka-talk- 11:14, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

  • For starters, I myself was wondering if there was anything in there about the Bek-Vulkar war, perhaps in the articles for Brejik, Gadon Thek, or maybe even Revan. Graestan(Talk) 23:11, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
    • Thanks Doluk. I was actually looking for a little information about the Bek-Vulkar War as well: Lower City in Taris, Swoop or Swoop gang, Benno, Zaerdra, Kandon Ark, Bastila Shan, Mission Vao or Tarisian Season Opener. I am so sorry that I added so many entries for you to look up, and I really do appreciate it. Thanks again. Cylka-talk- 00:57, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
      • Thank you so much for that information! That was exactly what I was looking for and it helped me tremendously. And again I'm sorry for having given you such a long list. Regarding Kandon's entry, I have noticed that the CSWE is very strange with who or what got an entry. I'll also be sure to check into the swoop being invented on Taris. It may be a continuity problem, since I believe that information came from SW Galaxies. Thanks again! Cylka-talk- 09:10, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Hey Doluk. I wanted to thank you for your offer of looking up entries in the CSWE. I just hope you won't get flooded with requests now :P I also wanted to tell you to feel free to join the project anytime, we're always happy to have someone new. Cylka-talk- 22:46, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Cookie Edit

File:Wookieecookie.pngFrom what I've seen of you on the wiki, you're an extremely helpful user, making a point of subtly and gently redirecting situations, and jumping to assist wherever you can. I can't tell you in such a short blurb how much I appreciate seeing this. Graestan(Talk) 01:49, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
File:Wookieecookie.pngFor the Marcus Porcius Cato reference in your signature. Absolutely hilarious, appropriate to our work together on the trash compactor, and a direct line to my scholarly persuasion of classical history. Graestan(Talk) 01:58, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Madel Wharen Edit

Sorry that I haven't done that yet, I'll try to do it today or tomorrow. Pranay Sobusk ~ Talk 19:17, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

You're welcome. If you need anymore help or advice, just let me know. Cylka-talk- 03:58, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks Edit

Hey Doluk. Thanks a lot for the congratulations! Cylka-talk- 05:17, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

CSWE Edit

Hey, Doluk :-). I saw you offered your help to the KotOR project and was wondering if you could help me with some articles that's part of the Legacy Project? Whenever you have time could you check to see if Elke Vetter and Hosk Trey'lis get a mention in the CSWE? It would be greatly appreciated, thanks Doluk :-). Grunny (Talk) 06:52, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks so much, Doluk :-). I'll look at Madel Wharen later today, I was actually about to review it last night but reading it reminded me I had an engineering assignment to do :P. Thanks again :) Grunny (Talk) 02:00, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

AJ Edit

Hi Doluk! Thank you for your offer to help me out with the Adventure Journals, it would be great if you'd be willing to help me and I'd be very very thankful for that. Maybe I can help you too in any case, it would be a pleasure. Can I contact you via messenger like ICQ or something? And btw. please excuse me for my partially miserable english skills, I guess I must sound infantile sometimes, don't know. ^^ -- Sol (discuss) 15:59, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Did you change your mind? ^^ No problem, I was just happy you wanted to help me... -- Sol (discuss) 20:51, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your answer Doluk. In response to it, regarding my research I am mainly interested in the stories Big Quince (AJ 2) and Black Curs Blues (AJ 8). -- Sol (discuss) 18:12, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Madel Wharen Edit

"So—are you still worried about being sent to the Agricultural Corps?"
Madel Wharen has been approved by the AgriCorps and awarded Good status. Feel free to add the {{User GA}} template to your userpage to acknowledge your hard work. The AgriCorps thanks you for your efforts, and looks forward to future nominations from you! — Cylka-talk- 14:27, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Talk Pages Edit

Hi there,

In the hope this will not simply rehash our previous argument, as that is not my intent, I'd like to know something. Previously on my talk page, you said that removal of any content from one's talk page violates Wookieepedia rules. Yet, no matter how hard I look at all of the rules and policies, I cannot find any such restriction, nor have I seen it on any of the other wikis where I routinely edit. Could you please provide me a link to the said policy, if one actually exists? I'm rather curious about the matter. ~ Michael von Preußen (voicemail) • (nation)
