Welcome, Jedimasterfiolli![edit source]

Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —SFH 21:23, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

References for quotes[edit source]

  • Quotes don't need to have separate reference links added to them, because they already contain reference information in their template if they're properly filled out. Nonetheless, your desire to add in-line references to articles is most welcome - if only more veteran users showed this kind of initiative, let alone relative newcomers like yourself! jSarek 14:23, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Merge[edit source]

There was no reason to merge them. They cover completely different topics. It would be like merging United State of America and America on Wikipedia. Kuralyov 19:45, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Danni Quee[edit source]

  • Hello Jedimasterfiolli. Yes, it does seem that we've had our share of edit conflicts today- I've been trying to copy and paste the differences over to the new version without erasing your work. Actually, I just finished, so edit away. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order.svg (Talk page) 14:18, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
    • As far as I know, both your edits and mine should now be saved, since I tried to go through and apply mine to your version. I'll try to remember to use {{Inuse}} in future. :P Green Tentacle (Talk) 15:05, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
  • Oh, sure thing. I appreciate your help on the article by all means. If you're interested on working on more major character articles, see WP:NEGTC. Also, if you need any help or have questions about Wookieepedia, feel free to use my talk page. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order.svg (Talk page) 14:47, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Re:[edit source]

  • I have not had a chance to look at both of the articles, but I looked at kolto and think it would do quite well on GAN. Just make sure that you check the article for present tense: "was" should usually be used instead of "is", etc, and italicize Knights of the Old Republic in the BTS section. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order.svg (Talk page) 19:19, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
    • The only other thing I would like to see would be a small section on the mining processes used to collect kolto from Manaan, if the information is available. If significant info doesn't exist in established canon, then just disregard me. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order.svg (Talk page) 23:43, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Re: Valara Saar[edit source]

Hey Jedimasterfiolli. P&T = Personality and traits, and P&A = Powers and abilities. So, essentially, the P&T covers a characters personality, and the P&A (at least for Force users) details any special abilities they might have displayed. Sorry about that, I should have been clearer :) Cheers, Greyman(Paratus) 01:16, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

  • I don't see anything else that I would object to, but I'll give it a full read through eventually and leave comments on the GAN page. Cheers, Greyman(Paratus) 18:24, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Re:Odan-Urr[edit source]

No problem. -- AdmirableAckbar [Talk] 07:15, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Re: Battle of Hapes[edit source]

I'll try to change it when I can. I barely can get on the computer to do things I want (such as wookieepedia =D) anymore since I'm being overwhelmed by school stuff, so it may take some time before I improve the article. Cheers. Darthchristian (Hey!) 1:24, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Re: Manaan[edit source]

  • In order to have an article restored to FA status, the objections raised by the Inquisitorius must be corrected. The biggest concern on Manaan was factually checking all the sources and removing any unverified information. Once all the objections are addressed, just place it on the FAN page like any other nom. I'm not sure on the expansions, but check all the sources and the meeting log to find out what information appears to be missing. Your hard work is appreciated. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order.svg (Talk page) 17:05, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Hey Fiolli, just letting you know that our Appearances lists are always in chronological order, not alphabetical. Thanks, Greyman(Paratus) 18:46, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Manaan[edit source]

Graestan has awarded you a Wookiee Cookie
For taking initiative on restoring the Shamed article Manaan to featured status.

Good work, Fiolli. I don't think anybody else wanted to touch it after its status was reduced.—Graestan(This party's over) 23:28, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

  • I'd like to second that. Keep up the good work! :) -- AdmirableAckbar [Talk] 23:47, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

C'baoth[edit source]

Believe I've addressed your objections to Joruus C'baoth. If you feel something isn't satisfactory, please let me know. Two things though: no info on the duel between C'baoth and the guardian is ever really given, and it's never stated if the buzzing in Luke's head affected his clone. Chack Jadson (Talk) 21:20, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

  • The Thrawn Trilogy Sourcebook, as well as Heir to the Empire, seem to indicate that he was sent there by Palpatine. From that info, plus Outbound Flight, it also appears that Palpatine cloned him for the purpose of guarding the mountain. However, I don't know if it's ever actually stated anywhere. Chack Jadson (Talk) 04:09, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Wampa[edit source]

  • Could I ask you to please review my changes to the wampa article on the GA nom page per your objections? Thanks for the help. =) Toprawa and Ralltiir 02:21, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
    • Thanks for your concerns. Your help is greatly appreciated! I would definitely like to eventually turn this thing into a FA some day, and welcome the effort that comes with the territory. As far as your CT concerning the species subsections, I read over it and it does make sense, though I would like to keep the wampa article in line with the "old guard" until your suggestions become official policy. Also, as far as the speculative information concerning male/female bonding, I did not write that, and am assuming it was written almost word for word from its source by another user, as they seemed to do with other information coming from the same source. However, I am currently working on purchasing that source, Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy, and will remove it if the book does not indeed reflect this. Thanks again, and I look forward to working with you again! Toprawa and Ralltiir 03:18, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi, Master Fiolli. Are you into the Old Republic and this book? Because it's article is a mess. I was wondering if you might help me do some work on it. Please leave me a message on my talk page. I would talk to Ataru about this but I bug him enough already. Thanks--Jedi Kasra 21:50, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Revanchist (faction)[edit source]

Hi, Master Fiolli. Would you mind going over the article above and go on it's talk page and vote on whether it needs a name change? Thanks.--Jedi Kasra 01:57, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Hi, Fiolli. I changed my mind (slightly); instead of The Revanchists, I am now suggesting simlpy Revanchists instead. For my reasons on why this name, please go here and look, then, if you, want, vote on this matter. I would really appreciate it. Thanks.--Jedi Kasra 03:30, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Zekka Thyne?[edit source]

Hey there. I've got a character, Zekka Thyne, nominated for an FA, and so far there are no objections to the nomination that haven't been addressed. Perhaps you wouldn't mind considering it? Thanks! --Colinmcev 20:45, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

Pit Droid Award[edit source]

The Pit Droid Award of Diligence

I, Graestan the Mighty, hereby award you, Fiolli the Menial, with the Pit Droid Award of Diligence for your banal and repetitive edits to the year articles, and then your boring, boring, boring work dealing with unknown and unidentified whosits and whatsits. May you continue, if you so desire, to do work that I have not the attention span to attempt. Thank you for your hard work keeping Wookieepedia up to spec. Graestan(Talk) 05:34, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Cade Skywalker[edit source]

Hello, Fiolli. I took a look at the article and noticed it had a "Bad Motivator" tag, indicating that this particular GA is in trouble of being bumped off the GA articles. So I took it upon myself to source it. Since you are a member of the Inquisitorius, you, or someone else, might want to review the article, and let me know if I made any mistakes. There are only a couple paragraphs which aren't sourced. Please leave me a message.--Jedi Kasra 20:28, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

NEGTC[edit source]

Hello. I'm the new director of WookieeProject: The New Essential Guide to Characters, and I'm trying to improve our output. Our new main focus is Lando Calrissian. He's been a focus of ours in the past, but we've never quite finished work on his article. Let's work together, add information from the remaining sources and get it on the FAN page ASAP. See Forum:Lando Calrissian for a list of sources that still need more information added from them. MTFBWY, and let's get Lando finished and ready for FA! Nav boxes[edit source]

The NR and GA nav boxes were originally de-combined, by me, because they made no sense combined; they were separate governments. The current nonsensical and ugly combined box is not an improvement. Additionally, the Rogue Leader position should not have been taken out of succession boxes, even if you did create a nav box (though I maintain the nav box is of dubious worth). We don't need nav boxes for everything under the sun. I strongly suggest you restore the previous versions, and discuss any changes with a wider group before implementing them. Havac 02:22, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

  • I've re-added the succession box fields, as nav boxes don't replace them, per se, but also added the nav box to the appropriate articles. In my personal opinion, this is one of those things that nav boxes are great for. However, after some discussion in #wookieepedia the generally agreed-upon idea was that the RogueLeader nav box's least popular elements are the color of the top bar and the presence of dates, which gives a somewhat crowded appearance in the opinions of some. Let me know what your thoughts are. Thanks. Graestan(Talk) 02:45, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Hey Fiolli, I saw you started to implement your new succession boxes. See here.

None of those placings are sourced. DjMack 23:56, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Alright, thanks. But disregarding the fact that the consensus wasn't reached, the placement of those battles were completely fabricated and just randomly thrown in there, so what I was doing was just trying to actually get a cohesive timeline based on what we actually know and source it. Trash Compactor: List of clone troopers[edit source]

Hello. I read your comment on the Trash Compactor page for the "List of clone troopers" which said you were undecided. The new Triage system[edit source]

After the Inquisitorius' most recent meeting, it was decided to enact a triage system for dealing with the large number of nominations on the FAN page. The Triage page has been set up in the Inquisitorius forum to make it easier for Inqs to see what nominations are best focused on for clearing out the nomination page. This is a tool for helping Inqs combine their efforts on articles, and shouldn't be taken as mandatory; as usual, any Inq is free to review any article they want. - Lord Hydronium 03:21, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

  • I forgot to say at the time that I do not have the Prima Guide for Bounty Hunter. I got Jaymach to check the page for me. Do you still have the game? If you were able to get a quote or two for Bendix at your leisure, that would be much appreciated. I am putting him up for GAN. --Eyrezer 01:07, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
    • Wow, the youtube videos are pretty extensive! I managed to find a couple of quote that will do just fine. Thanks for the offer though. --Eyrezer 10:18, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

RFB[edit source]

Fiolli, once again I must thank you for your amazing, eloquent support of my nomination. Your words of confidence in me and your answers to my opposition were incredibly inspiring, and those, coupled with the words of my other supporters, are more important to me than the election itself was. You've made me feel much better about myself as a human being, and I won't forget what you've done for me. Graestan(Talk) 17:22, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Re:Objection![edit source]

Yeah, I'll get onto that in the next day or two. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 22:26, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Yeah, it looks like Naru's sorted it out. I haven't gone into extreme detail but it looks a good deal better. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 18:14, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

INQCON[edit source]

The new INQCON system is now in effect. For details on this new tool, please review the linked page. It is requested that you check any current featured article nominations that you have fully read and are currently objecting to, and change the respective INQCON number on the nomination if you are intending to ultimately support the article once your objections have been resolved. Also, please remember to change the Triage page when altering INQCON numbers. Any queries about the process can be made on the afore-linked INQCON page. Thanks, Thefourdotelipsis 00:48, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

Darth Bandon FAN[edit source]

Hey Fiolli, I believe I've taken care of your objections. When you say you want a reference to Bandon's saber having different effects with crystals than other sabers, where exactly would I get this reference, a gametip site? I ask you this on the nom page, as well, so.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 14:48, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

  • I'll take care of those objections in a matter of a few days, Fiolli. I've been a little busy.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 18:44, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Alright, will do. By the way, what do you mean when you say "This is one case were game mechanics can be beneficial if the lightsaber is unique."? Can I list an instance of when it occurs?--Jedi Kasra (talk) 14:08, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
  • I don't want to get into an argument with about the Star Maps, however, as far as I know on Wookieepedia, we don't deal with might-have-been situations. Sure, they're could have been more than five Star Maps, but we only know for sure there were five. No canon source has said that there were more. In fact, The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia's entry on the Star Maps says there are four (for some reason they didn't count the one on Korriban, it's full of minor mistakes like that). Anyway, I believe it would be wrong to suggest there might have been more when we don't actually know if there were or not.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 20:53, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
    • What does the CSWE error have to do with anything? There are still five Star Maps. Graestan(Talk) 02:55, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
      • My point was that it does not matter how many there were in the game or in CSWE. We simply have no source that says there were only five. My point was simply to remove the definite article. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 03:03, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
  • I know you're not mad at me. I understand that you wanna help me get the article FA'd and I appreciate that.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 15:04, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your words, Aban. I really don't think I can find any important mistake in your well-researched work, but I always enjoy reading an article like yours, specially as a FAN, and I wanted to do my best to help — which is not much, but it is what I can offer. synth crystals and other matters[edit source]

you keep reverting my edits to the synth crystals page. the statement is said in almost the exact same fashion twice in the article. why must it be said twice when both times say the same thing practically. also on the darth andeddu page, the additons added by tommy add nothing to the the article but more words. Both versions, the original and his additions, say the same thing just different wording. Its a 17 character difference, it adds nothing to the general flow. And does not improve on the original statement. So why do you and tommy insist on keeping his version?Largoss21 14:51, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Year systems[edit source]

Shouldn't each BBY/ABY year begin and end exactly at the day of battle of Yavin? Some year pages indicate the 3rd month, but there is an exact day date for the battle according to Butler. I don't know his source, but he should be right. Or is there an other reason to begin years in x:3? I would like to help in the year pages' infoboxes, but I don't have source for the correct day of the battle (the Atlas says only the beginning of the film). And an other: so now there are two full 0 years? Darth Morrt 17:06, November 17, 2009 (UTC)

  • Hi, sorry it's me again. I have read the consensus. I have just one last question. If some years's infobox has the BrS dates with the 2 month diffenrence, why can't I add it to other years? Darth Morrt 14:41, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
    • Hell, Darth Morrt. It basically comes down to this: We have canon that confirms the dates in both systems during the ABY era. Mr. Butler merely confirmed that in the CT thread. That said, there is nothing confirmed by LFL or in canon with dates being completely cut-and-dry. In other words, XX BBY could be a vague area of ten-fifteen months depending upon that which is placed in it. 0 BBY, for example, could be as short as 6 months. That said, the BBY dates are supposedly more approximations than hard-and-fast dates. If that is the case, having the GrS/BrS date in the infobox as it stands now is accurate due to the header "approximate dates in other systems." After all, we have no concrete canon which codifies where things line up or not. In reality, it is quite a mess. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 21:33, November 28, 2009 (UTC)
      • Hello, thanks. Now it is clear. Darth Morrt 07:27, November 29, 2009 (UTC)

TCG Promos[edit source]

Fiolli, TCG Promotional cards do not form a separate set. They are simply cards from other sets released with an alternate picture, but the same game text at special events. I understand that you're simply trying to kill a redlink on Zam's page, but that's not how it should be done. If you want to consider Zam's promos ro be of any set at all, it would be the set in which the original card was released. I played that game a bit back in 2004 and I know that while other TCGs and CCG may have a separate set dedicated to promo cards, SW TCG did not. I am now going to CSD the second article you created as well. MauserComlink 18:06, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

  • Then please explain to me why there is a separate "card list" on their website. Also, I compared some of the cards, and I do not see complete similarities. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 18:09, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
    • This separate list is, well, a list. The promo cards do not have a specific expansion symbol, nor did the promo set get an official name (other TCG's have such ones). Each card is a reprint of a regular card with the new image and unique number, but the same expansion symbol. MauserComlink 18:14, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
      • Fine, I moved the list of cards to the TCG page as a subsection on promotional cards where it is probably better served. I simply recall promotional packs from earlier TCGs, of which I have some. That said, if there is nothing of an official set—to which I see no evidence one way or the other—then delete. Now, if Jedi Nights was an official tournament, and you are more aware of it than I am, you should fix the article so that it is recorded on the wiki. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 18:18, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
        • I simply do not recall us ever having articles on card game tournaments - they are one-time events, only relevant to the playbase of the certain area. Not even fansites are keeping records on them. If we choose to start documenting them, we could never dig enough information from CCG tourneys from 90-s and early 2000-s. As for the ongoing TCG - like the Galaxies one - do you think we would the article for each of the tournaments (which happen 4-6 times per month), even though they do offer unique promotional cards? MauserComlink 18:23, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
          • I think if there is something notable about them, such as new cards, partnerships, or sponsorships, then it might be useful. I agree that old data will be hard to come by if even recorded, but I think that if it is a notable event it should be documented. I'm not speaking of private non-LFL/WotC sanctioned tourneys. I'm only speaking about the larger, official events that have something unique apart of them. That's all. If you know that Jedi Nights is nothing more than a run-of-the-mill tournament, then that is fine. But, it seemed to be a substantial U.S.–wide event that was official sanctioned and included new cards. That's just my take. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 18:29, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
            • Errm, most official tournaments offer promo cards as prizes - that's half the point of them. And even if we're talking about large, official, US-wide (or Europe-wide) tournaments, we would still be talking about dozens (hundreds if we count all SW card and miniature games) one-time events that are absolutely useless to us in terms of canon, not to mention that there would be little to none info about them. I really see no point in having articles for them. MauserComlink 18:39, December 3, 2009 (UTC)
              • Ok, fair enough. I will trust you on this since I have neither the time nor passion to investigate the depth of this. Thank you for the insight, Mauser. Good discussion and good day to you. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 18:42, December 3, 2009 (UTC)

Era edits[edit source]

Hi Fiolli,

Jaywin here. Thank-you for your message on my talk page.

What I've basically been doing, (mostly with the Expansionist Era), is consolidating info from articles all over Wookieepedia. (I agree that Timeline Gold is inappropriate!) So if there is incorrect info in the Expansionist Era article that needs to be removed or altered, then the same needs to be done for other articles on Wookieepedia, as well. This could be a good opportunity to check the accuracy of parts of many Wookieepedia articles, (such as Core Worlds & Galactic Constitution).

Unfortunately, I don't have most of the sources used, so I can't check them myself. If you, (or someone else you know), has those sources, and could check them out, that would be much appreciated. (I don't have The Essential Atlas, for example, which is being used a lot.)

I did remove some info from the Expansionist Era article that conflicts with info in other articles regarding Nal Hutta and Nar Shadaa. In those two articles, the relevant info was in 15,000 BBY, so obviously that was not in the Expansionist Era.

I also noticed the potential for some conflicting info, (or at least some ambiguity), from appropriate sources, specifically in regards to Reda Jalooz, Sar Agorn, Nuck Lyu and Cope Shykrill. These Jedi are placed in approximately 25,000 BBY, (though Reda Jalooz is in a separate storyline than the other three). Were these Jedi associated with the Galactic Republic at the time? If so, then there seems to be the possibility of at least some ambiguity, since according to Gnost-Dural's account in Timeline 15: The Jedi join the Republic from the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic video game, the Jedi swore allegiance to the Republic in approximately 25,000 BBY. Of course, we're only dealing with a 47-year difference in approximate dates as large as 25,000 years! But there does seem to be at least a little ambiguity here that perhaps might be worth addressing. Thoughts?

Anyways, I've blabbed on enough. Again, thank-you for your message. Please feel free to leave comments on my talk page at any time. Any help you can offer would be great. It would be nice if we can get to the point where the "era" articles can be as well-developed as the Pre-Republic era article. Hopefully, all this is a step in that direction.

Have a good one. Jaywin 14:45, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

Hi Fiolli. Glad to see your enthusiasm! I added three {{cite}} tags to the intro, plus started a discussion at Talk:Expansionist Era. (I figured the best way to go is just tackle one section at a time.) Anything there you can help out with? Jaywin 17:49, December 4, 2009 (UTC)

Nouane[edit source]

Hi Fiolli. Jaywin here. The Nouane article states the following:

During the beginning stages of the Republic's Rimward expansions, as early as c. 25,000 to 22,000 BBY, Nouane was an isolated—yet known—world surrounded by unexplored space. Despite its remoteness, the planet Nouane served as the home of libraries that drew philosophers and artists from the Core Worlds, and its ministers held considerable power on various worlds throughout the Republic.

The article cites The Essential Atlas as a source. Could you check out which page number(s) Nouane and the Allied Region, (of which Nouane is the capital of) are mentioned on? It's for the Expansionist Era article. (I already got a couple of citations for the Gilagimar from the Forums!) Jaywin 15:18, December 5, 2009 (UTC)

Rescue of Bastila Shan[edit source]

Hey Fiolli, I was looking in the CSWE, and its entry on the Ebon Hawk, explictly calls this event by the current title. In his nom for the Funeral of Marka Ragnos, Tommy said that it's title was not conjectural. Since this appeared in a canon source, I feel that we can take the conjecture tag off the article. Do you agree?--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 00:32, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Inexpugnable FAN[edit source]

Hey Fiolli, I was just wondering, since you do a lot of work in the TOTJ and KOTOR eras, if you can have a look at the FAN for Inexpugnable-class tactical command ship. I've been working hard on it, and have 2 Users and 2 Inquisitors. Your help and/or vote would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Re:FA noms[edit source]

I'll try to take care of your concerns as soon as possible. See, I do not view myself as "talented", as you said, since I only use basic wording. I'll go through those articles and check for speculation. If you could cite some examples, I'd appreciate it. Did you look at Malak, by the way? I'm not sure, but I don't think there's any speculation in that article. Still, yes, I appreciate any help you'v given me and will give.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 19:22, February 19, 2010 (UTC)

Mysterious & unjustified deletions[edit source]

Why are you deleting viable information from the chronological books listings?

I can understand replacing it with better formatted text, or linked text - but why delete it entirely from a list that is impressive but still missing so much & which is not yet up-to-date?

Are you planning on adding these titles in, yourself, in the future? What's up?

Chronology for inventory[edit source]

Perhaps a better question :: Does there yet exist a fairly-up-to-date page which lists ALL Star Wars related reading materials - books, comic books, graphic novels, manuals, guides, etc. - EN MASS - preferably in SW Universe chronology ??

That's actually what I'm looking for, if someone could toss me a link to it...

...[edit source]

Ok, I see...some information like that can exist here, but some can't. Does this mean that such information is bad for starwars fans, who are in danger of reading such info and automatically have the thought of carrot(for instance) in their head. Is that what yourself want to say, because indeed if it is something cool like gold references in star wars, it could stay, but when it is a funny mismatch like Morkov, it can't...--Dangrievous 17:23, March 4, 2010 (UTC)

Star Edit Wars: Zam Wesell -- shifty reptilian or the original Babe Fett?[edit source]

  • Hey there. I had been making a series of edits to the Zam Wesell article. The edits came out quite nicely in my opinion-- the changes consisting of shuffling pictures and a few re-wordings. But, I was reminded by grunny that you had previously put a lot of work into the Zam WeSell article. That in mind, I'd like for you to compare our two variants:

Mine =
As I found it previously =

Despite her relative obscurity in Star Wars, I'm actually a fairly ardent fan of Zam Wesell. Reason being...? The trade paperbacks she was featured in during 2002 alongside Jango Fett. They were well-written and I strongly suggest you give them a read if your'e so able. The trade paperbacks did quite a bit to explore her personality. In addition, it was her 'human guise' that was the basis of the poll for sexiest female in Star Wars. (the others being Leia, Padme, and Shak Ti). Moreover, the vast majority of her portrayals in Star Wars were that of her human guise rather than her Clawdite form. Collectively, these reasons (from my perspective certainly) assert that the main character portrait ought be the human guise.
Hopefully, my stated reasons are enough for you to decide that my edits ought stay, or, alternatively, that they might be co-mingled with the article's previous state.
. . . . PS -- My friend, I'm gonna hafta to ask you re-consider your position on Luke Skywalker as described on your character page. ;)
These are very uncertain times we live in where concepts of right and wrong -- in fiction and in real life -- too often clash. Consider the ongoing debate of the use of torture in the anti-terror campaigns; or the ongoing question of whether illegal immigirants ought be regarded as criminals or refugees; or if Islam ought be considered a religion of peace at its core, and not a belief system given a bad name by a few extremists.
Kind of like Superman, as heroes go, Luke Skywalker is your classic "goody two-shoes". While they can feel a tad annoying or shrill at times, remembering them and what they would do I think helps guide our own behaviors in these uncertain times.
(Please respond on my talk page.)
MercWithMouthTalkPage 10:38, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Merc: I saw your message and am glad that you are willing to jump in after reading those comics. I do agree with those who reverted the edits, however, for this reason: we know canonically that she was a Clawdite and that her natural form was as those in her species appeared; she only appeared as a Human when she wanted. Therefore, her "true" form, which is always used for FAs unless absolutely no other image is available, is that of a Clawdite. We put her Clawdite image in the infobox for that reason. She may be best known in fandom as a Human, so that is why we include those images in the article as well. We cannot control what people might favor, we only report what is canonically accurate—or at least do our darnedest to achieve that.
  • Fair enough. What about the other edits I made? I was surprised that Zam Wesell's pose with the sniper-rifle was omitted, for instance.

(also, what does 'FA' mean? ) --MercWithMouthTalkPage 16:17, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

TSLRP[edit source]

Why hasn't the TSLRP page been taken down from the main wikia site yet? It's fan content, just like the recently deleted TSLRCM page.

I notice you also changed my edit. That's fine and everything, but if your goal was to make it non-promotional, remove the links to the Team Gizka TSLRP pages. Then it will be 100% non-promotional.

In fact, since it is a fan project, it'd probably be better to just delete the whole page in it's entirety.

You can start by unlocking the page.

-ShamelessDreamer 01:00, May 22, 2010 (UTC)

  • The TSLRP page has not been deleted because there was no consensus to delete it. That's it. It isn't some conspiracy against one group or another. Maybe it isn't "fair" from your perspective, but that is what happened based upon site rules. Now, the links to Team Gizka and TSLRP articles are included in the TSL article because we have articles on them. That is another site rule: we link to what we have. As for external links, everyone has their things involved there. So, please do not bring the fighting and backbiting that has gone on between the two groups to this wiki. This is not the place the war between mods to continue. Or, rather, let me rephrase that: this is not the place for those who despise Team Gizka, Dashus, or anyone else involved or anyone else in that project who claims "it didn't get done fast enough" or "we did it better" to rant and cause problems. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 12:37, May 22, 2010 (UTC)

Re: TSLRP[edit source]

So, you all couldn't decide what to do with the page, so you decided on the Keep option, which had NO VOTES to it? Honestly, merging it to cut content should have been the obvious decision. Mathematically speaking, the fairest voting procedure is a majority count between two options -- which in this case were DELETE and MERGE yet neither of those actions were taken. Oh, I forgot, Wookieepedia isn't about fairness. It's about favoritism.

Secondly, this was never an issue about how TSLRCM is greater than Team Gizka or how much we hate them. They've contributed so much to our modding community and ultimately inspired and made so many mods actually possible. To imply that we are expressing hatred or superiority towards them shows a great deal of ignorance on your part. The common forum-goer opinion does not represent in any way the feelings of the people who worked on TSLRCM. So don't go on about mod wars that only occur between the spectators.

I also have to ask.. why did you nominate only TSLRCM for deletion? Imperialles was nice enough to nominate TSLRP for deletion in the sake of fairness, but I am aware that you might have done it anyways, which brings me to another question:

Why did you vote to DELETE the TSLRCM page, when you voted to MERGE the TSLRP page to cut content? TSLRCM and TSLRP are again, both fan projects, and have no place on Wookieepedia right?

Shameless DreamerShamelessDreamer 01:03, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

  • Obviously you are not taking the time to read through everything carefully. We have notability requirements which TSLRCM failed to meet, but that Gizka does meet. Because of this, Gizka was not initially nominated. The fact that there was clearly no consensus on the Gizka article tells that people also understand the notability requirements. Plus, it was at no consensus because of our rules outlined here. (To summarize, a simple majority does not cause something to happen.) Please take the time to consider them as they are the reason why it was not deleted. You may not view it as fair, but everything was done according to policy not favoritism, so please do not insult the intelligence or the integrity of the administration of the site who oversee this. Frankly, the admin who closed the TC discussion could care less about either mod or either modding team. This is good because he was unbiased. If you still have a problem, please take this up with him—and I strongly encourage you to do so—as I will not discuss this any further. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 01:15, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

RE: TSLRP[edit source]

Thank you for the information on the policies, but I had already read them at that time, and still disagree with them.

I will not take this up with the administrator you suggested because it is already being handled by an affiliate of mine. That and I'd probably piss him off someway..

I would like to say though, that despite this network's apparent bias (and yours), that this will be the last you hear from me and I at least want to end this with a respectful goodbye and leave for you something for you to think about.

In person I am not a protester nor would any of this normally bother me, but when I perceive that clear injustice occurs, it is not up to me whether I want to question or not: it has to be questioned. I know you personally don't give me or any of my fellows' views any merit, but I would suggest in the future that you take a closer look at what is just before you vote on things in the future.

I'll probably be banned again, but I don't care.

Anyways, no sarcasm implied, I do wish you the best of luck in whatever it is you do, and that you all respectfully use your powers fairly and justly, wherever you go.

Hi, you reverted my deletion of a sentence in this category. What is the reasoning behind it? You should always add edit summaries when you undo non-vandalism edits. Re: Dlarit estate[edit source]

Thanks for reviewing Dlarit estate. I've started to address your points so far, and will continue to do so. As far as the plagiarism, I responded to this at the FAN page, but wanted to do so here as well. Usually when I'm doing an FA I copy all the material I can find into a Notepad file, then use those notes when writing the article. I'm guessing some of the original wording transferred into the article during this process. Naturally, that's not a sufficient excuse for plagiarism, but rest assured that this was not deliberate, and I try extremely hard not to let that happen, and I will try even harder in the future. I consider plagiarism a very, very serious sin. Thanks for catching those instances! — Hunter Kahn 03:06, September 13, 2010 (UTC)

Apology[edit source]

Hey, Fiolli, I wanted to apologize for my remarks in response to your questioning the Morseerian article. I have a problem with the way the INQ runs probes (it would be nice if non-INQ authors were warned before a probe on the articles' talk pages), but unfortunately, I directed my annoyance at you rather than perhaps raising the issue (civilly and cordially) with the INQ in general. • Thanks for your helpful and kind words, Fiolli. As for the Morseerian article, are you OK with it the way it is worded now? The link to a hard 12,000 BBY date has been removed, and the phrasing includes the word some (as in "some 12,000 years") to indicate the ambiguity and non-precision of the date. ~ SavageBob 18:46, December 31, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Alsakan Conflicts[edit source]

Hey, Fiolli. While I understand that the Atlas and the NEC state that the Indecta ended in 17,000, but those two were written before the Alsakan Conflicts were expanded on. All of those references say c. 17,000 - circa. 17,018 is the beginning of the Alsakan Conflicts, which is one of the major defining events of the Indecta. The Great Manifest is a time of growth and expansion for the Republic, and the Indecta is a time of strife and chaos.

The NEC and Altas say that the Pius Dea era begins around 12,000 BBY, but the Pius Dea don't actually gain recognition and power until 11,987 when Contispex I is elected. Also, the Pius Dea-Ductavis line isn't 11,000 BBY, it's 10,966, when the Pius Dea are defeated and Ductavis becomes Chancellor. I understand the issues with the FA/GA criteria, but I don't think that should dictate whether or not we follow the new dates that they give us in Warfare.

I'd love to know the exact quotes from the NEC that you're referencing to say that 17,000 is a hard date. Also, I couldn't find anything about 17,000 BBY in the Atlas other than the now-erroneous "The first Alsakan Conflict began in 17,000 BBY". If you're going to say that the Indecta ends in 17,000 and not 17,018, then what about the beginnings of the Pius Dea and Ductavis?

Thanks, Cade Calrayn StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg 23:47, April 29, 2012 (UTC)
