I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 17:56, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

RE: Abednedo (species) Edit

Colonies species is a subcategory of Sentient species by location, which in turn is a subcat of Sentient species. Most other TFA species don't have an official homeworld or their homeworld hasn't been placed in a specific region, so they're just placed in the Sentient species cat. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 02:21, September 6, 2016 (UTC)

  • Categories like "Sentient species" are what we define as "parent categories"; if a subject fits into a parent's subcategory, they aren't also categorized under the parent category on their article. Also, the two articles you cited were incorrectly categorized and have been corrected. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 02:49, September 6, 2016 (UTC)
    • It's fine; everyone is guilty of overcategorization at some point. - AV-6R7Crew Pit 02:57, September 6, 2016 (UTC)
