Edit summaries[]

Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia! When editing, please remember to provide an edit summary more often. This helps your fellow Wookieepedians, particularly those patrolling the Recent changes, understand why you are making certain changes. Thanks! Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 20:10, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

  • I will remember to do that going forward. Thanks for the heads up. --JMM (talk) 18:55, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

Wam Lufba[]

Hi JMM, I see you added Star Wars: Return of the Jedi Coloring Book (Luke Skywalker) to the sources for Wam Lufba/Legends, and because of your tag of identifying him as Yuzzum, does that mean the source definitely indicates Yuzzum is his name and not his species? If so, a behind the scenes note should be made too, particularly since he had no name at that time. Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 16:46, 27 February 2021 (UTC)

  • At some point I had PDF scans of that coloring book. I would have to look around to find them again. Based on how I listed things in the article, my guess is the character is shown and just labeled "Yuzzum." But can't be 100% sure. --JMM (talk) 20:36, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
    • I did find a scan of the page the character shows up on. It's just as I said, it's simply a picture of the character labeled "Yuzzum." I've added some info about that to the article. --JMM (talk) 17:35, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
      • I, too, have a question about that coloring book—would you mind checking if it, or any of the other ROTJ coloring books has a possible appearance of Haash'n? JediMasterMacaroniAdmiral Ackbar RH.png(Talk) 22:47, 21 March 2021 (UTC)
        • Remembering how I went through at least two of the books, I would say Haash'n wasn't in the Lando cover or the Max Rebo cover version. I never found a full version of the Luke cover. --JMM (talk) 01:44, 22 March 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading that image of Thaneespi, athough I have to admit, I'm completely baffled as to how you got it to be of such high quality. :P JediMasterMacaroniAdmiral Ackbar RH.png(Talk) 16:26, 11 March 2021 (UTC)

  • A great place to find bigger package images is Ebay. Some sellers will include really large scans of items on there. After I saw the recently uploaded images I went searching. --JMM (talk) 16:33, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
    • Coincidentally, I have another Mon Calamari question—do you have access to the source you added here? If so, what does it say on Loci Rosen? JediMasterMacaroniAdmiral Ackbar RH.png(Talk) 04:06, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
      • That was simply a caption next to a picture of the character. It then goes on to talk about the species in general and not Rosen. --JMM (talk) 04:21, 14 March 2021 (UTC)

Peter Geddis[]

Hello. I will be reversing your undoing of my edit to Peter Geddis, as the information therein has been reliably sourced: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Talk:Peter_Geddis. To repeat my point made on the talk page, I am willing to obtain a copy of the certificate if necessary. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any further questions. Thank you. StrangeStatue (talk) 16:21, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

  • Actually, that wasn't my edit. Looks like it was OOM_224. --JMM (talk) 16:56, 29 March 2021 (UTC)

Backup links[]

Hi, just letting you know that this should be formatted with {{Disney}} and a backup link. The Jedi business link also needs an archive link. JediMasterMacaroniAdmiral Ackbar RH.png(Talk) 17:43, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

  • I did go right back after I initially created the page and added the backup links. With the Disney template I didn't use it since Shopdisney.com isn't a subdomain of Disney.com, but it's own separate domain. I didn't think that would work. --JMM (talk) 18:02, 11 April 2021 (UTC)

Just something to note for the future, please do not include apostrophes in file names. Thanks. JediMasterMacaroniAdmiral Ackbar RH.png(Talk) 04:28, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

  • Yes, I knew that but just didn't think of it with that image until the error message came up. But for some reason the uploads go through anyway. Is there a way to rename them after upload? --JMM (talk) 14:20, 4 May 2021 (UTC)

Topps renaming[]

Hi JMM! To come up with the Topps naming scheme, DarthRuiz30 and I reviewed foil packaging from cards, the Topps website (current and archives), and card collector sites Beckett.com, Cardboard Connection, and Trading Card Database. We found signification variation throughout, which was frustrating, but the most common naming scheme and the one that Topps has been using (well... mostly) on their site since around 2018 and on foil packages is: [Year] Topps [Set name]. One reason we adopted that system is for the sake of establishing consistency in naming the Topps articles, as things were pretty much a free-for-all before. I hope that helps explain our reasoning, but please let me or Ruiz know if you have other concerns or questions. Immi Thrax RainbowRebellion2.png (talk) 13:08, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

  • That makes sense to me. I created those original old set pages, and I kind of guessed at the naming convention, so I was just curious. Their packaging and ads don't have much in the way of consistent naming, so you have to make it up. But these newer names make sense. --JMM (talk) 13:32, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

Backup links, again[]

Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that at least one of your recent additions added an external link without including a backup link. Our Sourcing policy mandates the inclusion of a permanent archival link in all external links. Instructions for doing this can be found on the respective citation template pages. Thanks! Further contributions without backup links may lead to being blocked by an administrator. JediMasterMacaroniAdmiral Ackbar RH.png(Talk) 17:32, 24 May 2021 (UTC)

  • JMM, I cannot emphasize enough what JediMasterMacaroni said above. You have been on this site for more than a decade and you are fully aware of our policies, including the Sourcing policy, which mandates archival links in all external links. This has been brought to your attention by multiple users. If you continue to ignore these messages, I see no other option than blocking you from editing. I hope it does not come to that. Thank you. 1358 (Talk) 17:47, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
    • Sorry, folks, that link actually came from an old article I didn't create. I just copied and pasted that link from there, so the backup never occurred to me. I'll fix that on the original and the new articles I created. --JMM (talk) 17:50, 24 May 2021 (UTC)

Hey, man, re: this edit, RoboCade's actually in the process of fixing all the redirects and will be moving that article to the title without /Canon here very soon (it's a multi-part script) so if you see cases where articles are at /Legends and /Canon without anything at the main title, it's that case, so no need to modify Template:Top. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg Calrayn 17:55, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

  • Got it. Didn't realize it was in the process of that. --JMM (talk) 15:02, 9 June 2021 (UTC)

Ophideraan flying serpent[]

Hey JMM, I wanted to ask you a question regarding the Ophideraan flying serpent article—I'm looking at moving the article to just "flying serpent," considering the term "Ophideraan flying serpent" doesn't seem to appear in any sources. Now, I'd be asking you to reach way, way back in your memory here, but you were the one who originally created the article at that name back in 2007. Is there any reason in your mind it should stay at "Ophideraan flying serpent," and it shouldn't be moved? Thanks, IFYLOFD (Talk) 01:14, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

  • Yes, as you guessed I really don't remember back to that. There's a good chance I just chose that name as a more descriptive name than just plain flying serpent, and it wasn't ever named that. JMM (talk) 03:17, 29 June 2021 (UTC)
    • OK, sounds good. Just wanted to check in with you as the original article creator before I do anything. IFYLOFD (Talk) 03:34, 29 June 2021 (UTC)

Hey JMM. Just a heads up, it's no longer the practice to leave one-source articles unsourced like you did with Shark Goggle. JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 22:13, 4 August 2021 (UTC)

  • OK, thanks, I missed that change. I’ll go back and correct those articles. JMM (talk) 00:20, 5 August 2021 (UTC)

Behind the Magic[]

Hi, when you added Behind the Magic as a source for Winged Gundark, Sheckil/Legends, Obsidian 8 and Obsidian 7, any new information not already documented? If not sure, then you can provide all the information provided for me to go through. Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 20:05, 9 September 2021 (UTC)

  • I am fairly certain the BtM information was just basically copying existing things from the CCG game and any other existing sources. --JMM (talk) 00:15, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
