Battle of Yavin[edit source]

Hello JMM,

After conferring with several administrators, it was determined that the lists previously included in this article were very much relevant and should appear on the page as they were. Please feel free to re-add them, and if there is any confusion as to their inclusion, direct all queries to me. Cheers,—Tommy 9281 Tuesday, January 7, 2014, 16:36 UTC

  • Thanks, I will add that information back in, but I'm going to turn the Casualties section into prose instead of a list with bullet points. As a rule, I understand lists shouldn't be everywhere, but in that key article, I thought an exception could be made. --JMM (talk) 16:53, January 7, 2014 (UTC)

Warning[edit source]

This is a general warning to you regarding the addition of unsourced and/or unverified information to Wookieepedia's articles. It is Wookieepedia policy that all information added to the wiki's Featured, Good, and Comprehensive status articles be properly referenced to a valid and reliable source. This is an example of the type of edits you have been making recently that violate this standard. Please make sure you properly reference your contributions going forward. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 19:10, January 13, 2014 (UTC)

  • Sorry about that. I was just going by looking at those photos, but I guess that's not exactly a "source". I'll keep that in mind in the future. --JMM (talk) 19:45, January 13, 2014 (UTC)

Fact File addition[edit source]

Hello JMM, I have reviewed your addition of Template:NewFFCite to Bob Hudsol's sourcelist, and I would like to notify you to please actually order it based on publication date. I would believe you saw it, and if not, then you should have seen it, and thus should have more carefully added it before the DS Technical Manual released a few months ago instead of after. Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 01:46, January 19, 2014 (UTC)

  • Yes, I did that on a couple of articles, but then corrected it. I at first thought the Fact File issue had come out more recently. I must've missed that one. I do know Sources go in order of release. --JMM (talk) 04:56, January 19, 2014 (UTC)

Grondorn Muse[edit source]

Hello JMM, I mistakenly forgot my edit summary when I reverted your edit to Grondorn Muse, but I had checked the source material after seeing your edit, and saw that I was originally correct in naming that song Those Old Spacer’s Blues, the way it was spelled in the source material itself. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 22:18, January 27, 2014 (UTC)

  • I actually just renamed it to match the spelling of the existing article and get rid of the redlink. I wasn't going by the actual source, so edit away. :) --JMM (talk) 02:15, January 28, 2014 (UTC)
    • Wonder if that's the same song then. Yeah, didn't see that link you gave led to an actual article. I guess they should be treated as separate unless proven otherwise? Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 02:22, January 28, 2014 (UTC)
    • I'd think it'sthe same one, since a different spelling is used in the Blog article, but still attributed to Muse. Also, I added a lot of the appearances from Part 2 of that article, and it's surprisingly full of misspellings in song titles and character names, if the title for the existing Wookieepedia articles are correct. --JMM (talk) 02:28, January 28, 2014 (UTC)

Star Tours SH thread[edit source]

Hey JMM. Given your interest in Star Tours, I recommend you check and perhaps chime in this SH discussion: Forum:SH:Using Star Tours 2011 reopening material. Cheers. Stake black msg 16:13, April 13, 2014 (UTC)

Avatar[edit source]

Hey JMM, since you're frequently one of the 5 most active editors on the site, I wanted to make sure you saw this. It would be great if you could upload an avatar. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 00:08, May 15, 2017 (UTC)

  • Hi, Brandon, I'm kind of surprised to hear I can get that high on the active list given all the editing done on this site! But I do tend to find and edit one subject in short bursts. I'll look into the avatar. --JMM (talk) 13:02, May 15, 2017 (UTC)

WotM[edit source]

Congratulations, JMM, you've been elected Wookieepedian of the Month for October! 1358 (Talk) 00:37, October 1, 2017 (UTC)

  • Thank you! --JMM (talk) 20:08, October 1, 2017 (UTC)

Star Wars Chronicle[edit source]

  • Hi JMM! I see you recently edited the Star Wars: Chronicles page and was wondering if you had access to the book? If you do could you take a look on page 86 and see what, if anything, it says about Ront Byrnloo (although it won't refer to him by that name)? Thanks! Ayrehead02 (talk) 10:34, October 14, 2017 (UTC)
    • I do have the book, and looking through it I didn’t find anything about the character. And I haven’t noticed any Special Edition material in it. At least not in the version I have, the 1997 one. --JMM (talk) 03:53, October 18, 2017 (UTC)
      • Thanks for having a look! Ayrehead02 (talk) 07:20, October 18, 2017 (UTC)

Merchants Row/Docking Bay 9 and Surabat River Valley map cards[edit source]

Hi. If you have the ability, can you upload the map cards for the Surabat River Valley as well as Merchant's Row/Docking Bay 9, and possibly create the articles as well? I'd do it, but I can't save the images due to it being in a slideshow format. If not, can you at least tell me how to actually save those images so I could upload them myself? Weedle McHairybug (talk) 19:19, January 31, 2018 (UTC)

  • I am actually now working on creating some of those articles and uploading images and info from those trading cards and other places. --JMM (talk) 19:22, January 31, 2018 (UTC)
    • Good work. You might want to create the rest soon, though. Can't do that myself since... well, adding Categories is literally required for creating articles, and I'm not sure where to put several of them. I guess with Black Spires, I could use some sort of geography-related category for it, and maybe Docking Bay 7, but the others, not so much. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 14:19, February 1, 2018 (UTC)
      • I'll be working on some more of these articles and images today, too. --JMM (talk) 14:38, February 1, 2018 (UTC)

Sourcing images[edit source]

Hey JMM! Thanks for the recent image uploads! Please do note that you should list as specific a source for every image as possible, like this and this. Thank you. Imperators II(Talk) 20:18, May 9, 2018 (UTC)

  • OK, I'll keep that in mind going forward. --JMM (talk) 12:44, May 10, 2018 (UTC)

Andoan White[edit source]

It was more than mentioned in Thrawn: Alliances. Padmé was drinking it.--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 18:13, March 5, 2019 (UTC)

  • Yes, you're right. That was just left over from another article I copied and pasted from! :) It's fixed. --JMM (talk) 21:09, March 5, 2019 (UTC)

ROTJ Coloring Book[edit source]

Hi, JMM. You'll see that I created separate articles for the two ROTJ Coloring Books published in 1983. Since you've been working on adding these books to articles' Sources lists, it would be a great help if you could run back through everything and update links for each of the two 1983 versions of the book. Many thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 18:17, April 22, 2019 (UTC)

  • OK. I'll spend some time on those when I have a chance. --JMM (talk) 13:49, April 23, 2019 (UTC)

Qeimet system in ESB Coloring Book[edit source]

Hey JMM! I noticed this edit of yours, and I wonder if you could tell me whether this scene from TESB is depicted in the coloring book. (Specifically, I'm interested in whether the Qeimet system makes any appearance, whether it be any exterior shots or starfields visible through viewports.) Thanks! Imperators II(Talk) 13:30, May 9, 2019 (UTC)

  • Much of the info from these books come from various images seen online, and with most I did not see the entire interior of the book. It's hard to say whether or not that system appeared. I would have to search again to find those specific pages. I would guess some appearances of the Executor included that area, but I'm not sure. --JMM (talk) 01:40, May 10, 2019 (UTC)

Galaxy's Edge 2[edit source]

In the opening of Galaxy's Edge 2, there is a B1 battle droid in the assault on Mygeeto that is either using a A280 blaster rifle or a A280C blaster rifle. As I know you read the issue, which do you think it is?--Editoronthewiki (talk) 02:01, June 2, 2019 (UTC)

  • Looking closely at the panel, I feel like that’s neither. Maybe just a generic gun the artist drew? --JMM (talk) 05:18, June 2, 2019 (UTC)

Re:Droid[edit source]

This must be old, as I have hacked this droid on the Datapad, and it shows the correct yellow and white one now. Might have been caught and the image on the droid's file changed. MasterFredCommerce Guild.svg(Whatever) 21:23, June 10, 2019 (UTC)

  • That may actually be true because I noticed rewatching the video that it may have been before the park actually opened, and the phone used was faking its GPS location. So I guess that makes sense. They must’ve fixed it. --JMM (talk) 03:49, June 11, 2019 (UTC)

Galaxy's Edge[edit source]

Given that the park is open, there's no need to link to fan sites like you did with the Power droids, just reference it to the park itself, just be sure that all information can be obtained in the park or needs another reference like the Datapad one or the one that explains the information can be obtained verbally from GE staff .--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 21:34, August 10, 2019 (UTC)

  • Got it. Endor Express was listing information from Datapad, so I thought maybe linking to that page made sense. --JMM (talk) 21:41, August 10, 2019 (UTC)
    • In that case, I think you could either add the link into the talk page in case anyone wants to check the information or saved it and keep a list with the links, so in case someone disputes or ask about the information it can be easly found--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 22:02, August 10, 2019 (UTC)

Don't forget to source your pages! I already did it for you. Just a reminder. :) Cheers, --Doctor Starwars (talk) 16:59, October 17, 2019 (UTC)

  • Thanks! I did forget... --JMM (talk) 17:20, October 17, 2019 (UTC)

Archive links[edit source]

Thanks for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that at least one of your recent additions added an external link without including a backup link. Our Sourcing policy mandates the inclusion of a permanent archival link in all external links. Instructions for doing this can be found on the respective citation template pages. Thanks! Shayanomer Din Djarin's clan.svg (talk) 05:28, October 14, 2020 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the reminder! I sometimes forget that. --JMM (talk) 15:08, October 14, 2020 (UTC)
    • For links under "External links," you don't need to use the full {{Cite_web}} template, just the link and the backup link next to it. Shayanomer Din Djarin's clan.svg (talk) 15:38, October 14, 2020 (UTC)
      • Now I'm actually thinking it should be listed as a "Source" instead of an "External Link" anyway, because I AM using it as a source for much of the information in the article. --JMM (talk) 16:05, October 14, 2020 (UTC)
        • "Sources" sections are not for OOU pages, see Wookieepedia:Layout Guide/Out-of-universe. Shayanomer Din Djarin's clan.svg (talk) 16:10, October 14, 2020 (UTC)
          • You did not provide an archive link correctly here. Shayanomer Din Djarin's clan.svg (talk) 17:13, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
            • That one slipped by! Thanks for the correction. Lots of different options on these templates! --JMM (talk) 17:52, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
              • Just follow the template documentation and you should be good. Shayanomer Din Djarin's clan.svg (talk) 17:53, 20 November 2020 (UTC)
                • I must remind you again of this (1, 2). These are also status articles you are editing, which means your edits will be reverted if they do not meet standards. Shayanomer Din Djarin's clan.svg (talk) 18:56, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
                  • Sorry, I am still in the process of editing those pages. They will be finished soon. --JMM (talk) 18:59, 2 December 2020 (UTC)

You need to specify on the file page where you uploaded File:Luke_gunner_01.jpg from or that upload will be reverted/deleted. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 18:43, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

  • Done! Sorry about that. And there's one other I'll need to do that for, too. --JMM (talk) 18:54, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

Sourcing[edit source]

Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that your edit to Keyan Farlander added unverified information to a mainspace article. Additions to Wookieepedia's articles must be verifiable by a reliable source per our sourcing policy, and unverified information may be reverted or deleted. Continuing to add unverified information may lead to you being blocked from editing by an administrator. Thank you. Shayanomer Din Djarin's clan.svg (talk) 17:01, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

  • Fixed! I think I wasn't sure about linking Legends sources in with a Canon article. I'll keep that in mind now. --JMM (talk) 19:38, 23 November 2020 (UTC)
    • Legends sources can be used within the BTS for things such as continuity and point of origin. Shayanomer Din Djarin's clan.svg (talk) 19:40, 23 November 2020 (UTC)

Recent SW in 100 Scenes edits[edit source]

Hi, because Star Wars in 100 Scenes was released on August 18, 2014, that goes after the Encyclopedia in Legends articles, because the Encyclopedia is treated as being released on April 25, 2014 for those articles. FWIW, I remember it was in July of that year the Encyclopedia became obsolete and replaced by the new Databank, so either way those entries predated that book. Please edit all the articles you added Star Wars in 100 Scenes to and rearrange the source order to place that book after the Encyclopedia entries (only for the ones that have the latter). Thanks. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 02:51, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

  • Note that I did change a few of them, my own and a couple of others, and in the process I saw that while my initial thought was you placed it before the Encyclopedia for everything, for others you placed it in a chronologically later spot, such as placing it after sources ranging from the Enyclopedia to the April 15, 2015 The Official Star Wars Fact File Part 64 (TIE1-2, Tierfon Rebel Starfighter Base) in the Jek Tono Porkins/Legends sourcelist. Please go through all of your edits to further make sure that Star Wars in 100 Scenes is correctly placed relative to all other sources based on release date. Thanks again. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 03:24, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
    • I'll go through and move any still needing it. --JMM (talk) 13:41, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Edit summaries[edit source]

Hi. Please make sure to use edit summaries, especially when editing status articles. Thanks. Shayanomer Din Djarin's clan.svg (talk) 18:58, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

Voolvif Monn[edit source]

You need to include the specific toy that mentions Voolvif Monn here rather than just link the set. Also, please don't leave empty fields in citation templates. Shayanomer Din Djarin's clan.svg (talk) 20:49, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

  • Done! --JMM (talk) 16:27, 10 December 2020 (UTC)

David Stone as Will Scotian[edit source]

Hello JMM, from seeing your edits, please remove anything attributing David Stone as playing Will Scotian, as, from my own looking things up too, he only used photos from that scene to attribute himself as playing a snowspeeder pilot, but which pilot he was in the photo was never made clear as far as I could tell. I do think it appears that he played Keyan Farlander though, and will leave it to Green Tentacle's discretion based on the citations provided. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 01:31, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

  • Yes, I see what you're saying. I was passing on info another user posted, but the second photo added to the David Stone article does have a different angle of Scotian that I think looks an awful lot like him. Maybe that and this image on his web site is enough? --JMM (talk) 14:23, 17 December 2020 (UTC)
    • Upon seeing that photo too, it does appear there's a resemblance. I messaged Toprawa on Discord, and from our conversation he says he will look into it when he gets the chance. Hanzo Hasashi (talk) 16:14, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

Rogue Seven[edit source]

Your lists on SWFA have been a really great resource for Rogue Squadron rosters, so I figure if anyone knows this it'd be you: Do you know where in the Rogue Squadron game Kasan Moor is established to be Rogue Seven? I haven't been able to find any reference to her callsign in the manual, biographies, or gameplay, but it shows up here and on TFN.

Thanks, RogueWhistler (talk) 17:09, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

  • The call sign is mentioned here, in this video of one of the game's missions. "Rogue Seven, standing by." --JMM (talk) 17:26, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
