Galactic Civil War

Hey, you're the person who changed these tags (7467552 & 7467553) to direct mentions. So, tell me how is Hera's mention of the Galactic Civil War as "the war" different from Sabine's[1]? -- 18:30, June 27, 2018 (UTC)

  1. Also "the war".

  • Not a mess, more just a minor inconsistency :P but it's okay! --Lewisr (talk) 18:49, June 27, 2018 (UTC)

It is I, Leclerc! Should Doctor Aphra 19: Remastered, Part VI count as an appearance of the war, since there's a conflict between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire? This reasoning is applied both to Doctor Aphra 18: Remastered, Part V and Doctor Aphra 20: The Catastrophe Con, Part I. -- 19:36, June 27, 2018 (UTC)

  • Yes, it only appears when there is conflict between the two so if there is conflict between them it appeared, probably was just missed so thanks for bringing it up --Lewisr (talk) 19:39, June 27, 2018 (UTC)

Good Article Nomination

Hey Lewisr! You're active right now, so if you don't mind, could you help me with this issue? I attempted to link the archive date of Lee-Char's databank entry on the Internet/Web Archive on the Quarren article, but it turns out the current link shows a "404" page, and I can't change it so I can properly get the Web Archive entry linked. Normally I wouldn't be bothering you for this, but I was hoping to nominate the Quarren article for good article status. Thanks in advance! --Boot Lover (Wanna Discuss Something?) 03:56, June 29, 2018 (UTC)

If I may just say that Snoke was not born in the year 19 BBY as he's quite older than The Emperor himself. Thanks --Its Mr Scratch (talk) 09:45, June 29, 2018 (UTC)It's Mr Scratch--Its Mr Scratch (talk) 09:45, June 29, 2018 (UTC)

Yes but the thing is Snoke's date of birth is not confirmed and just because he watched The Galactic Empire rise and fall does not mean he was born in that year. That is simply saying I watched it rise and fall but I was probably born in 89 BBY. So unless you have a source that confirms his date of birth don't say he was born in that year. Another thing is Snoke is quite older than Emperor Palpatine, he was born in 84 BBY so if Snoke is older than him than Snoke was born before the year 84 BBY. If we are to put his date of birth then I would highly recommend you say before 19 BBY instead of assuming it was 19 BBY. Thanks --Its Mr Scratch (talk) 13:14, June 29, 2018 (UTC)Its Mr Scratch--Its Mr Scratch (talk) 13:14, June 29, 2018 (UTC)

Hold on prior means before. Oh I didn't realise that, it seems I searched it up wrong. I apologise for that. I just thought you were confirming his birth of date was 19 BBY. I am terribly sorry for that. I will not add before 100 BBY. Although I'm quite sure in an interview Andy Serkis mentioned something about Snoke and Palpatine, possibly Snoke being older than Palpatine but anyways as long as it's not confirming his date of birth I have no problem with it. Apologies --Its Mr Scratch (talk) 16:28, June 29, 2018 (UTC)Its Mr Scratch--Its Mr Scratch (talk) 16:28, June 29, 2018 (UTC)

I must say the cold war began in 5 ABY and it ended in 34 ABY but specifically it only means Snoke's reign ended so wouldn't that mean Snoke's reign lasted 29 years then? If not then his reign lasted from 28 ABY to 34 ABY.

Hmmm well The First Order did flee into the Unknown Regions in 5 ABY. And they were rescued by mute aliens that served Snoke. Snoke did rise to power in The First Order quite quickly so if I was to say how long his reign lasted (in my opinion) I would agree that it lasted from 5 ABY to 34 ABY. Think of it this way, The remains of The Galactic Empire fled to the unknown regions. They were rescued by mute aliens that served Snoke and they secretly rose to power and Snoke was able to sideline his competitions due to the immense power he holds. So although there is no confirmed date it is fair to say that his reign lasted atleast 2 decades. Hopefully more of Snoke will be revealed in Star Wars: Episode IX and we can possibly pinpoint how long his reign lasted and when he was born. Hey Lewis, just wondering why we're removing {{formerly}} from infoboxes, so I make sure not to add them whenever I make an article or edit, thanks!--Vitus InfinitusTalk 04:07, July 1, 2018 (UTC)

  • Ah, okay, sort of like removing the daggers. Thanks!--Vitus InfinitusTalk 04:34, July 1, 2018 (UTC)
    • Just wanted to say that if the removal of (Formerly) is where we're headed then I'm really glad to see that! I've always favored the idea that the succession of affiliations in an infobox should speak for themselves. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 05:14, July 1, 2018 (UTC)
      • Yeah like the daggers, pretty sure those was only ever supposed to be for battles/events etc but then starting being added everywhere! I agree with you Brandon, though I never thought of that at first it does make sense to let them speak for themselves, and also we have the intro/main article to detail if they left one organization for another etc --Lewisr (talk) 11:59, July 1, 2018 (UTC)
      • If I may chime in, the mere succession does not always mean that one supplants another. E.g.: Luke Skywalker did not stop being a Rebel when he became a Jedi. --Lelal Mekha The Uprising crest (Audience Room) 12:15, July 1, 2018 (UTC)
        • That's true, but that can be elaborated in the intro in most cases--Vitus InfinitusTalk 14:37, July 1, 2018 (UTC)
  • Hey Lewis, in regards to the Ralsius Paldora edit, it's going to be confusing down the road when the infobox doesn't match up with his listed affiliation--Vitus InfinitusTalk 15:09, July 2, 2018 (UTC)
    • I wouldn't put too much thought into it, I highly doubt a casual reader is going to know what all the colors in the infobox mean --Lewisr (talk) 15:14, July 2, 2018 (UTC)

Desalination plant

Hi Lewisr. I’m very sure I remember reading that a desalination plant was mentioned in Catalyst A Rogue One novel. It was put on the planet that Jyn’s mother was investigating kyber crystals. Can I re-add it.

Evram in SW 50

Hey Lewis, so I've come across this thread on twitter (here) of an exchange between Kieron Gillen and a reader on the commander of Beta Group in SW 50 (Who also appeared next to Willard in SW 45), that establishes Evram Lajaie. I'm not sure if this could be exempt from Forum:CT Archive/Social media posts as canon sources or if it would be allowed under information coming from the author/script. Let me know what you think, thanks!--Vitus InfinitusTalk 16:10, July 5, 2018 (UTC)

  • Okay that's what I thought. Unfortunate but policy is policy.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 16:14, July 5, 2018 (UTC)
    • Hopefully he's named in one of the following issues!--Vitus InfinitusTalk 16:16, July 5, 2018 (UTC)
      • I responded to the thread but the other user replied, so hopefully Keiron jumps in again and reiterates. I previously asked Matt because I thought it was a canon character and I genuinely couldn't remember who it was, but a friend told me about Keiron's response and that it was a Legends character. I'll let you know if there's any sort of development.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 16:23, July 5, 2018 (UTC)

Card Game Links

Hello there! On the Puko Naga article, there are a few red links to a card game, as well as its producer/company. I was wondering whether I would be able to remove them/if they are notable enough for an article? Why did You delete my contribution to the Ki-Adi-Mundi page?

If I should have inserted a dialogue at the wrong place (why?), You could have corrected my error without removing my contribution completely.

The dialogue I wanted to add seems quite relevant in context to an earlier dialogue, featured on the same page.

I hope you understand that you make this community a dark place, if you frustrate all well-meaning efforts other contributors put in.

Why rename my image

Why did you add the tag to have the image I uploaded renamed? I looked at the Image policy and I do not see anything about have the image name needs to reflect or descried what the image is showing. Nor do I see anything about the length of the filename. You also want the file type from jpg to png. The policy says that png should be used for cons, logos, drawings, maps, flags, program window screenshots, and other images with relatively few colors, but sharp color transitions. Noe of this was done with the other jpg image I have uploaded. To be honest, I see this request as a unnecessary.--Professor Ambrius (talk) 20:26, July 12, 2018 (UTC)

Thank you!

I just want to say thank you for fixing my edits and (indirectly) helping me learn more Wookieepedia edicate ————Ambrose Gignac, a new and aspiring wookipedian

Hi Lewsir, you probably don't remember me but you helped educate me on some of the finer points on image interpretation out of RPG source books. I'm currently in a debate with some Wookie editors that are my junior (a friendly debate, over a disputed image that we are all passionate about). We can't come to a consensus, so we decided to abide by the decision of one of our seniors - you. I know you're about to read a lot of text, but please bear with me...we've kinda gone in circles, and if I don't present the issue accurately, I'll probably have hell to pay, haha.

The debate is this; in Tempest Feud, page 85 of scene three "Krin's Angle." there is a depiction of a ship ( It should be noted that the ship is free standing, and is not clearly attached to any kind of stat block or ship description. However, it IS placed clearly within the scene describing the hero's ship encountering an Etti Light Cruiser (

However, the Etti Light Cruiser is described as being based on the same space frame as the Etti Lighter (, which is a ship nearly 125m long. Additionally, the stats for the cruiser claims that it has ten quad laser cannons, and room for forty passengers. The image displayed only contains a turret, and fore mounted cannons of large size, which given the scale puts it at probably forty to fifty meters.

Given the visuals, it is honestly pretty clear that the ship was MEANT to be a depiction of the YV-260 "Vengeance" ( This is upheld by the fact the Vengeance has front mounted blaster cannons (two of them, accounting for the large twin barrels), and two turrets, one of which is visible in the image. Additionally, the front end of the craft - with its blocky cockpit - is clearly related to the YV-100, and other YV designs.

The problem with putting it down as a YV-260 is that references to the Vengeance and the YV-260 aren't anywhere near that scene; in fact, the encounter with the YV-260 occurred very early in the sourcebook.

Given the information presented, what is your opinion? Dorian G (talk) 20:53, July 13, 2018 (UTC)

While I was looking on articles with Trandoshans I found an article with the Trandoshan Elites. I have a question.: Why is there a page for the Trandoshan Elites when there is no page for the Trandoshan Mercenaries? I have played the game recently and there are lots of Trandoshan Mercenaries and Slavers. Don't they deserve an article too? There are like 5 Elites in Star Wars REPUBLIC COMMANDO while there at least 250 Mercs. And the big ones aren't called Elites but Heavy Mercenaries. We could make one article called Trandoshan Mercenaries and include a small part regarding the subclass known as the Heavy Mercs similar to the Neimoidian Gunnery Battalion article which is mainly about the standard Neimoidian Warrior and a small part with the Neimoidian Brute which is a subclass and that had appeared in ROTS video game. What do you suggest?--SwtorPlayer (talk) 20:51, July 23, 2018 (UTC)

A little help

Hey Lewisr! You've always been very helpful in the past, and I'm grateful for that, so thank you. Anyway, I've learned to source articles without referring to anything for the most part, with the exception of (occasionally) dates and eras. I was hoping you could be of assistance for the latter of the two on this article. You don't necessarily have to source it correctly for me; I would be just as happy if you knew of any good example articles for a character who solely appears in Season 5, so that I may create the source myself if need be. Thank you very much in advance! --White-Helmeted Mandalorian/Riverdale Chauffeur (Wanna Discuss Something?) 03:45, July 24, 2018 (UTC)
