Hey MarcK, remember to use past tense when writing "In Universe" articles. After all, Star Wars does take place a long time ago. --Imperialles 16:19, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

  • Good job so far on the categorizing those comics so far. Just continue as you are and we'll have them under control. -- Riffsyphon1024 06:09, 8 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Edit description[]

Hey, MarcK! While I appreciate the great work you've done - especially on the comics section - I must ask one thing of you: take a few seconds after making an edit to fill in a short description of what you've done. Nothing too fancy, just a word or two. It really helps. --Imp 19:15, 14 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Just in case[]

That's so funny that you think someone might actually type i Mitth'raw'nuruodo. :P -- Riffsyphon1024 11:42, 25 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Talk to you later, Kir Kanos (The Empire Rocks!)

  • Hey MarcK, couldn't find anyother place to put this so i figured here would be good a place to start, I have a Star Wars fourm, any one of you is welcome there, the site is www.abedisraikan.proboards76.com, i have a few members now, but i need a bit more administration men, i think i have 6 and im aiming for 15 or so, if any else wants to join, they are welcome to it. Thanks for the revert[]

Thanks for putting my user and talk pages back -- I haven't been able to access the wiki since Tuesday, or I'd have thanked you earlier. — Silly Dan 15:27, 7 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Are you sure that they will show in all browsers? I'm currently using a computer with IE and not all the characters show up. I'm not sure what my Firefox will do though. -- Riffsyphon1024 19:55, 1 Nov 2005 (UTC)

  • Works fine for me in Firefox. MarcK 10:01, 2 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Star Destroyer project[]

Hey MarcK. While you're going through the various Star Destroyer articles and categorizing them, please remove the redundant Category:Capital ships. As long as, for example, Category:Imperial-class Star Destroyers is categorized under Category:Capital ships, there's no need to have both in place. --SparqMan 09:05, 10 Nov 2005 (UTC)

You moved Dorja's Relentless to Relentless (Disra) a while back, and made Relentless a disambig. How do we know this other Relentless is a different ship from the one that served under Thrawn and Disra? (Maybe the other one was destroyed at some point?) And which one was seen in Tatooine Manhunt? Just curious. Thanks, — Silly Dan 19:22, 20 Nov 2005 (UTC)

  • I got my information from CUSWE, which lists them as two different ships, with completely different sources; Relentless (Disra)'s the one from Tatooine Manhunt. --MarcK [talk] 04:37, 21 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Wookieepedia:Consensus track/New Community Portal title[]

Not sure what to do about this, but there's already a Consensus Track page about this, apparently somehow left off of the main Wookieepedia:Consensus track page: Wookieepedia:Consensus track/Community Portal name. jSarek 09:57, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)

  • Ah, thanks for pointing that out, I'll just delete mine and put the old one on the CT page. --MarcK [talk] 09:58, 29 Dec 2005 (UTC)

I'd apprecciate it if you did not undo the work I did. I am finding that every edit i do is reverted by you. If you have a problem with it, you should not just delete what I do, make it better. Template:Vjsta

  • The problem is they're completely irrelevant to the article. All they accomplish is making it look uglier, and even if they're improved, they still have no place in such short articles as Vima Sunrider and Tott Doneeta. --MarcK [talk] 23:37, 14 Jan 2006 (UTC)
  • So you think. Who says you can choose which pictures stay and which ones are deleted. I think that lots of people like to have different pictures of the various characters, instead of just one basic photo. It is helpful. And as to the irrelevance...the whole thing could be considered irrelevant because it is fiction! So stop whining about it man. It's just supposed to be fun.Template:Vjsta
  • I completely agree that multiple images are useful, but if you're going to put them on such tiny articles you need to make the article itself longer if you want it to look good. Otherwise it just takes up space and makes the article as a whole look ugly. --MarcK [talk] 23:58, 14 Jan 2006 (UTC)
  • Alright. I'll have to do that. But please understand how frusturating it is to do something only to have it immediately undone minutes later. I'll try my best to do things "correctly" from now on. -Vjsta --Vjsta [talk], 14 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Main Page[]

<div align=center> is not XHTML compatible. The correct version would be <div align="center">. - Sikon [Talk] 06:03, 17 Jan 2006 (UTC)

  • Ah, my mistake. I'm a bit of a n00b when it comes to such things. --MarcK [talk] 06:04, 17 Jan 2006 (UTC)

Welcome template[]

If you notice, most people, including me usually type the user's name manually when welcoming users. However, after your change to a PAGENAME function, the name shows up twice and is very awkward considering there are alot already in place. I feel a need to revert it back to normal. Your thoughts? -- Riffsyphon1024 01:30, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

  • Well, I figured it wouldn't be very important for those who already have it on their talk page, since it's useless to them at this point, and that it would make it a bit more convenient for new users in the future. Feel free to revert it if it's really a problem. --MarcK [talk] 07:31, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Duplicate image[]

You had a duplicate comic cover image that I put on the Wookieepedia:Images and media for deletion list. Technically yours was uploaded first, but the other's file name goes along with the other issues in the series. Just wanted to let you know. --Xwing328 02:19, 7 February 2006 (UTC)

If my pages is not freezing on any ones computer could you remove what you think the problem could be or move the page, if that would help at all. If the page is moved please tell me. --Malrick Vos
    • Sorry Malrick, I got your page confused with User:Xwing328 in the discussion right above yours. I don't know how that happened. Sorry!--DannyBoy7783 06:28, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Tales of the Jedi[]

MarcK, you're just the user Xwing328 and I are looking for. Could you go to the Wookieepedia:Published_Works_Improvement_Project? We're looking to add a whole new layer of depth to the articles about books and comic books, and we're working in chronological order. You are clearly a dedicated reader of Tales of the Jedi, and we'd like your help! If you know anyone else who is knowledgeable about or owns copies of Tales of the Jedi, please recommend the project to them as well--Erl 00:20, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Question about Userbox Templates[]

Hi! Is there a way to create your own userbox templates and use them on your userpage? Thanks!Roswell 20:44, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

  • Well, the easiest way to do it is to use {{userbox}}, like so: {{userbox|red|blue|ex|This userbox is an example.}}, which creates:
ex This userbox is an example.

You can also put images in the left side of the userbox:

100px This userbox is an example and is using Wookiees arbitrarily.

Grievous as Featured article[]

Hi — I noticed we both objected to Grievous for featured article because of the title dispute. As it seems to have been resolved, are you willing to drop the objection and/or vote in support and/or put it in the queue? Cheers, —Silly Dan (talk) 04:00, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

Hello, why am I blocked?!!! This is outrageous, I didn't even do anything is it because I have AOL?

Why did you add the Tone tag to Volfe Karkko? The soup line is actually quoted from an official source. Can I remove it? Thanks, Erl 00:46, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

  • It's just awkwardly dramatic in general. --MarcK [talk] 07:24, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Wookieepedia Chat Room[]

Just thought I'd offer an appology at not having responded when you were in the chat room earlier...usually I try to respond to anyone that comes in but I've been gardening today and so haven't been able to. :) Anyway, I'm always in there if you ever want to come in, as is Sikon usually (though he doesn't tend to talk much), as well as StarNeptune and Rmfitzgerald50 making rather regular appearances. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 14:53, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Hi, Marck, this is SFH. It says that I have been blocked for The True Mandalore's actions, yet I have no idea what the heck is going on. I may not be the ideal Wookieepedian, but I have never engaged in vandalism, so could you please unblock me? Thank you. -- 17:09, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Never mind. Everything seems to be okay now. -- SFH 17:13, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
  • Wait, now something else is wrong, because I can still edit sometimes, yet I still get the block message other times. -- SFH 17:14, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
  • That's happening to me as well. I have a bad feeling about this... --MarcK [talk] 17:15, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
    • Same here. When I try and edit certain pages, it throws up a screen saying you've blocked Mandalore at my IP. I'm not actually blocked, but it's pretty annoying. I noticed you posted something about the guy hacking into your account; any connection? And SFH, don't worry, you're not actually blocked - Kwenn 17:16, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
      • I suspect it's some weird software bug -- I got the same deal. —Silly Dan (talk) 17:17, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
  • I know, but it appears to have subsided, at least for know. Still, it is disconcerting. -- SFH 17:17, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
    • Shadowtrooper just said in the IRC chat he was affected as well, but I seem to be having no problems. StarNeptune 17:19, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
    • Well considering I sincerely doubt TTM is determined and capable enough to get everybody's password and get into their accounts in the span of a few minutes, I'm thinking either he's got some weird proxy or it's just a glitch. --MarcK [talk] 17:22, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
      • By the way, MarcK, can you please join IRC right now? - Sikon [Talk] 17:26, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
  • I'm innocent, Mr. and Mrs. Moderators. I couldn't hack into something if i tried. Okay, so I hope that about wraps it up. I didn't do it. Are we clear on that? Yes? Good.

The True Mandalore[]

  • Um, I hope that you don't take it that I'm being disrespectful to your correct decision to ban my good friend, the True Mandalore, but he just emailed me (we actually know each other outside of here), and said that he had a lot of good contributions to make. He got a new book, he plowed through it and now knows some valuable information. Saying this from a good friend's stand point, Mandalore isn't a bad guy, he just likes to have fun sometimes. Also, he promises that it won't happen again. Hold me to it. So, if you see it fit, please reconsider your decision. Kir Kanos (Hail the Empire!) 14:11, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
    • The infinite ban you placed, according to your comments in the block log, was due to him "trying to get into your account." I suspect that this was actually a consequence of the weird bug SFH mentioned above, so an indefinite ban for hacking is probably misplaced. —Silly Dan (talk) 14:55, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
    • Oh, you infinetly banned him for that. I was there when he was vandalizing and what not (I didn't do anything, I swear), and he didn't do that. He is pretty good computers, but according to the log, I was there when you reported that he hacked and he couldn't have. It must have been a bug. Kir Kanos (Hail the Empire!) 17:24, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
    • Thanks, Kir Kanos. Listen, I don't know why I could have been banned for hacking! I don't hack. I may get hacked like on Prunescape or whatever, but not the other bloody way around. Thanks, foos. (Sorry for the foo part. I can't help myself. Myes, mwahahahahaha!)

Requesting a move[]

I was wondering if you could move Pre-Republic to Pre-Republic era. As the NEC calls it that, it's looking like that should be the title, but since a redirect already exists at that page, us non-admin folk can't move it. - Lord Hydronium 09:50, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy[]

I wanted to ask why you removed the image on the page. It shows a new feature that the producers are touting heavily and wasn't present in the first game. Could I put it back please? Huntersquid 19:37, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Hello? You could at least have provided a rationale on the article or my talk page. Huntersquid 18:54, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

I think the article Rughja (genre) you wrote may be inaccurate: my reading of Rebel Dawn makes it seem to me that Rughja was just the name of the species in the band, not the genre of the band. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how it seemed to me. —Silly Dan (talk) 03:26, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

  • I decided to give bounty hunter a tenth vote myself to break the tie; also, I don't believe we have a truly official way of breaking improvement drive ties. Something to be brought up in F:CT perhaps. —MarcK [talk] 10:42, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Your IP is registered to AOL, which, due to the nature of their server configuration, uses a different proxy for every page request. Help please![]

Hi, this is PacifistPrime. I haven't been using Wookieepedia for a while, and when I tried to log in again I couldn't re-access my account, because I couldn't remember my password (at first) and when I requested that it be sent to the email address attached to that account, I realised that that email account was now defunct (although I have since re-instated it). Anyway, my point is that in the interim I created a new Wookieepedia account under the username "mace'sbigblackcock" and was promptly blocked by Kuralyov, it seems. Apparently that name violates some (rather puritanical) decency clause in your rules, but that's okay, I don't want to argue the toss. However, due to the block I could neither ask for help to be unblocked, nor could I create a new, less offensive username for some reason. When I finally got my old PacifistPrime account working again, I STILL couldn't edit because now my whole I.P. Address ( is blocked. So, I have no problem abandoning the "mace'sbigblackcock" username, but can you please unblock my IP address so I can get back to using my old address. Needless to say, I'm currently writing this from another computer, as it's the only way I could get the ability to edit again. Please let me know what you can do. Thanks, PacifistPrime
