Hi Mauser. Could you tell me which page number of Act on Instinct mentions Moorja? I'm having trouble finding it. --Eyrezer 10:32, January 20, 2010 (UTC)

  • Page 44 - the panel with Pharl McQuarrie speaking. MauserComlink 17:35, January 20, 2010 (UTC)
    • Thanks. I haven't been reading this comic. I've updated the article, but if Moorja is mentioned again, could you let me know? Cheers --Eyrezer 09:12, January 21, 2010 (UTC)
      • Sure thing. MauserComlink 09:34, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, maybe I don't know enough to say whether the OOM series is a B-1 variant or not (I think it is, but whatever), but why do you need to have OOM-9 mentioned twice in the notables list? Dangerdan97 03:24, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

A favor[]

Would you do me a quick favor? Take a look at Magma trooper or Akk Guard or any other soldier stub article and tell me if this image is showing in the stub template or if it's still the old image. I'm trying to ascertain if this is a wikia issue not updating the thumbnail or if I'm having browser cache issues and my browser cache isn't clearing. Thanks in advance. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 04:27, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

  • It's definitely the newer, cropped image. Whenever I'm unsure about Wikia's caching, I simply check the page in another browser, by the way. MauserComlink 04:30, January 22, 2010 (UTC)
    • Ahhh, good tip. Thanks. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 04:32, January 22, 2010 (UTC)
    • It's bizarre because I've cleared my browser cache in both IE and Firefox and it's still displaying the old thumb. *shrug* Ah well. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 04:37, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

Is there any kind of indication as to who the player-character person is in these TCG scenario adventures? Toprawa and Ralltiir 05:01, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

  • Nothing beyond what's stated here. The only thing I can add to that is that the player's character is obviously not intended to be the same person from one campaign to another - in some campaigns the Imperial player is the member of the Imperial Special Forces, in others he is an ISB operative, in Squadrons Over Corellia campaign the Rebel player doesn't even join the Rebellion until the middle of it, while in other he is a Rebel agent from the start. In fact, I don't think it is ever stated for sure that the player character is male. It is obviously intended for the player to associate themselves with the character, as in most RPG's, so the identity is deliberately left blank. I usually just take the hints from the text and refer to him as "The Rebel", "The Imperial", though in some cases it is possible to identify him as the bounty hunter, or just a simple spacer. MauserComlink 07:45, January 24, 2010 (UTC)
    • Would you say its fair to label the player-character in the Nightsister's Revenge Light Side scenario as a Rebel agent? Toprawa and Ralltiir 21:55, January 25, 2010 (UTC)
      • That's what I did, alternating between "agent" and "operative". MauserComlink 00:58, January 26, 2010 (UTC)

Fanon warning[]

Dear Mauser, could you please tell me what I did, because I did not knowingly add any fanon things.

Thank you, Kettch

Kettchyubyub24 15:27, January 27, 2010 (UTC)

  • I apologize for the warning, it appears I was mistaken. I caught your revision on the GAR page and, since there was a suspicious redlink, assumed that it was another case of some new user putting their freshly made-up clone in (we get quite a lot of those, believe me). So I reverted all your edits to that page, and didn't see that the last once actually fixed the link to point ot existing article. Again, my apologies. MauserComlink 15:32, January 27, 2010 (UTC)
  • It's okay, I would have done the same thing in your place.

Thank you, Kettch

RE:Useless articles[]

Why was the Cut Lawquane article not deleted back then, when there was no real info about him either? As I recall the only content was: "Cut Lawquane was an individual who lived during the Clone Wars." So I don't agree with you, Mauser. Btw, your comment: "Is it really so hard to wait a couple of days until the episode actually airs before creating an article about the subject you don't even know anything about?", you know as much as I do, which is also nothing. —Jawaman 18:24, January 27, 2010 (UTC)

  • Other example: Ione Marcy. The only content was also back then: "Ione Marcy was an individual who lived during the Clone Wars." This article wasn't deleted either. Why does Concordia have to be deleted then? —Jawaman 18:43, January 27, 2010 (UTC)
    • Touché, Mauser. :) —Jawaman 18:49, January 27, 2010 (UTC)

Is it safe to presume all information has been properly merged from Leviathan prison break agent? If so, I'll archive the forum and delete the article. Toprawa and Ralltiir 03:58, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

  • While the info is not in the BTS of the articles as I originally proposed, it is fully covered by the Skirmish aboard the Leviathan, which I believe is sufficient. If there's still a need to present info in the BTS of the character articles, I can do it, but nor at the moment. MauserComlink 04:01, January 29, 2010 (UTC)
    • As long as it's somewhere, that's all I ever care about. You or whoever else cares more than I do can move the info to other articles if you want to. Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:03, January 29, 2010 (UTC)
      • You may want to proceed Dxun Force Adept per the precedent as well. MauserComlink 04:06, January 29, 2010 (UTC)
        • May need to start another TC, since that article wasn't really part of the discussion. Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:10, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

Why are some articles never or rarely visited? Unsigned comment by (talk • contribs).

  • What makes you think Unkajo article was never visited? It maybe not one of the most prominent articles, but neither is it an obscure one. Take a look at some of those articles - not, they are the rarely visited ones, so what? We have 176,917 you know, and it is inevitable that some subjects are more popular among fans than others. MauserComlink 19:56, January 31, 2010 (UTC)

Username Question[]

I'm under the username JediExile133. I need some messages on my Talk page too, like this one. How will people come to mine? I appear in the Latest Activity list all the time, but my page is never visited. Please respond. You can come to my page if you like to respond there.JediExile133 01:22, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

  • Well, you only seem to have made 17 edits by now, which is not what I would call "Much". It may take some time for people to come to you with questions. MauserComlink 04:05, February 2, 2010 (UTC)

I'm curious to hear your rationale behind this edit. Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:19, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

  • I probably overreacted on this one, but I was tired and took it at my risk to skip the usual CSD/TC procedure and just purge this one. Anyway, my reasons were:
    1. This is an unidentified character unlike any other we have articles for. He never appeared in any story - just a sourcebook illustration. The article treated him like a distinct unique character, yet by the nature of the RPG the illustration does not necessarily depict a canonical character - it could be as easy be the player-created one. We don't even have the proof the character exists - remember Bith Black Sun Vigo.
    2. The article was self-contradictory. The BTS said he is from the SWG TCG (which I know is wrong), yet the source listed was the JATM. Judging by the source of the images, the latter was probably the correct one, but I didn't have the book with me to check.
    3. It made a hell of a lot of assumptions from a single picture, too many to ever be cleaned up. Member of the Jedi Order? Where does it say so? Fought during the Clone Wars? Are you sure those droids weren't used during the latter eras? Foggy planet? It could be the kriffing industrial environment. If you remove all those guesses, all that left would be "This Gand existed", which, as I pointed out earlier, is also a subject to debate.
    4. The creator of the article explicitly admitted he created it out of boredom, probably not intending for it to be treated seriously in the first place.
While I never intended to hunt down such articles one by one (I still hope to push that Notability Policy some day), this one just came in my way and I saw no harm in neutralizing it by making a redirect instead of dragging it to yet another TC with the contradictory lightsaber one still open. I probably overstepped the boundaries of my actions and I apologize for it. I really should have done it in a more organized manner and I absolutely understand if you choose to revert me. MauserComlink 21:00, February 5, 2010 (UTC)

Hé Mauser, I saw that you did those pages in the reversion, but that article from the Bloody pirates has been deleted. So actually we have to make in Black. --Station7 12:44, February 7, 2010 (UTC)

  • Oh, sorry, I didn't see that the article was deleted as unverified, I assumed you removed simply because they are not members anymore. I apologize and have already reverted both pages back to your versions. Feel free to continue to busting those links. MauserComlink 12:47, February 7, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, I made that article and a week later it was delete because of fanon, something I didn't know. But that's alright.--Station7 12:50, February 7, 2010 (UTC)

Don't forget this..[]

I don't speak English, Mauser. English is my second language. i'm trying to do my best to make pages as good as I can. I'm Dutch and I'm doing my best.--Station7 14:48, February 8, 2010 (UTC)

why did you remove my picture on Mandalorian bunker?--Celtic22 16:19, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

  • For the reasons I stated here. This is a bad quality image, where you can barely see the bunker in question. Also, you didn't even bother to properly crop it: it still has all the logos and those silver borders, we shouldn't have an image like that. MauserComlink 16:24, February 9, 2010 (UTC)
    • is this one better? File:Mandolorianbunker.png --Celtic22
      • Yes, except you shouldn't have saved it in png. The source image is in jpg, that's how the cropped one should be. And sign your posts with ~~~~. MauserComlink 17:01, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

Plague vs. Poisoning[]

Hi Mauser, just FYI there was no plague in Lost Tribe of the Sith 3. It was a chemical compound, Cyanogen silicate, that was placed in water supplies. That constitutes the water being poisoned, or toxified, or whatever, but a plague involves a pathogenic organism, not a poison/toxin. I've been going through the LTOTS3 articles to make sure it's accurate, but I assume you're not done, so for the future be aware that plague is the wrong term. Thank you! Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith -Just shy, not antisocial: You can talk to me!- 13:23, February 12, 2010 (UTC)

  • Oh, thanks for catching that - guess I misinterpreted the meaning of the term a bit. MauserComlink 14:14, February 12, 2010 (UTC)

Hylo Visz, and Smuggler's Vanguard[]

Do you realize that if someone reads "Smuggler's Vanguard", wants to know more about Hylo Visz, than looks at her FEATURED Wookieepedia article, they will be reading it three times. The article should be edited to remove the 'department of redundancy department' factor. It doesn't look too bad, just saying that it is not really up to featured quality yet. (- -) 02:17, April 14, 2010 (UTC)

Hi! I'm new in the WP and I don't know on which site I can find the new pictures. Can you help me? Bye, 12:34, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Republic Light Cruiser[]

What's your source for saying that the Republic light cruiser was the oldest ship serving the republic at the time of the episode it was featured in? I can't find anything about that in the episode guide, and I didn't hear any mention of it in the episode itself. 18:25, June 1, 2010 (UTC)

Image deletion warning The image File:Shoto.jpg has been listed at Wookieepedia:Images and media for deletion. If you feel that this image should not be deleted, please go there to voice your opinion.

SOE has been updating the SWG splash screens these days with larger images from the TCG as part of the game's 7th anniversary, and I'm currently replacing some of the images that are uploaded here (the ones with smaller size, or showing traces of the card frame) with these new ones.

I'm sure that more will be released with next updates, so you can consider it an "ongoing collection" right now.

If you have the game, they can be extracted from the most recent .tre files. If you don't, let me know and I'll make a rar pack and upload somewhere for you. Thinortolan 14:18, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

  • Check TRE explorer There are other browsers for I know, but this one works fine Thinortolan 20:11, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
  • Most of the newest files do not contain any data that can be explored with that tool, but just a few files contain a huge load of images and audio. The tcg larger images I found so far are inside sku0_client.toc, folder: /texture/loading/large. It will be a good idea to check it back when they release the Year 7 gift. Thinortolan 21:49, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

Meetra/Jedi Exile display picture[]

Did you make that display picture? If so, I was wondering if I could possibly obtain permission digitize it with photoshop and, if it lives up to your quality standards, to use that as the display pictures..--Themanclaw 02:15, December 11, 2011 (UTC)

Loading screen images[]

Absolutely! Will look for the TRE file now.StarsiderSWG 01:46, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

  • FYI, I found the TRE file and the associated loading screens. I copied the whole TRE file to an other folder so it won't be lost. I'm having problems extracting the actual loading screen files from the TRE file, however. I'll work on it, but know that I'll keep the TRE file so that the images won't be lost for good. StarsiderSWG 16:06, December 14, 2011 (UTC)
    • I seem to have now extracted the files. They're all dds files though, and I can't open them in Photo Gallery. Not sure if that's normal or not. StarsiderSWG 17:15, December 15, 2011 (UTC)
      • Heya, no worries. I should be able to convert them fine and get them posted/sent by tonight.StarsiderSWG 18:00, December 18, 2011 (UTC)
      • On second thought, I may just need to put the dds files up on the file sharing as is -- it seems the converter won't work on Vista. Sorry for the delay, but I do have the files nonetheless and will get them posted one way or another. StarsiderSWG 18:12, December 19, 2011 (UTC)

Star Destroyer Painting = Devastator?[]

Hey, in a recent edit of the Devastator, you put up the painting of the Imperial Star Destroyer from Star Wars Galaxies. Was that painting intended to be the Devastator? Sorry if I'm unfamiliar of where it's stated in the game to be the Devastator, but I don't have Star Wars Galaxies. Weedle McHairybug 04:01, June 19, 2012 (UTC)

I noticed you put up the update tag for Warfare on Reaper a while ago. Is the information that needs updating come from just the map of the Orinda campaign, as it shows the Reaper at other locations than in the article, or are there other things needing updating? Thanks, 501st dogma(talk) 18:55, June 23, 2012 (UTC)

With many of the articles you've been creating recently, there is a common theme of problems. When putting an infobox in an article, make sure the whole infobox is there, otherwise, this could happen, and there are no "hideb", or "hidep" sections. Another thing would be to make sure that redirects are accurate, you can always hit preview before you save; and if someone is a commander, or a doctor, it doesn't need to be capitalized unless it is directly referring to them as such (Doctor Jones, and Jones was a doctor). Also, with categories, make sure that there is no space between the colon, and that they are placed in alphabetical order. Trip391 (talk) 20:28, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

  • Also, make sure that all articles are written in the past tense, as per Wookieepedia's policies, and if someone's gender isn't listed in the article, don't refer to them as he/she; and put the "Unidentified gender" category on the bottom. Trip391 (talk) 21:36, August 5, 2013 (UTC)

TSW preview[]

Hello ‎LOST-Malachi. Although I'm aware there are a lot of previews, that one is currently our only source pertaining to The Star Wars. Information is already available about the content of the series, and it is available in that preview, so I think we should cover that for the time being. IMHO, when the first issue is out, then we may delete the preview article. Regards. --LelalMekha (talk) 09:24, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

Inuse template[]

While your edit to Galactic Empire is appreciated, the page currently has a template called {{Inuse}} at the top. This template means that someone is currently working on improving the article, and to avoid edit conflicts, no one other than the placer of the template should edit the page while the message is visible. Thank you for your cooperation. Trip391 (talk) 09:02, August 9, 2013 (UTC)
