The "[[Star_Wars:_The_Clone_Wars_(film)|Clone Wars]]" film, as you mentioned earlier, is a prime example of bad business practices because it tramples many expensive products we paid for. As fans, we expected these products to be quality items '''because of''' the STAR WARS logo imprinted on them. The STAR WARS logo and products associated with it no longer mean quality or reliability as they did decades ago. This too is a major bone of contention many new STAR WARS fans simply do not understand.

A couple of userpage things

FYI: I recently learned that using more than one level of EN (more than one English userbox) screws up the auto-categorization system. So it'd probably be best if you just picked one. Also, there's a policy against guestbooks. Not sure if it's new or just hadn't been enforced. You can move it to http://guestbook.wikia.com if you like; otherwise it is at risk of being deleted. (I had to make both of the above changes to my own userpage too!) Cheers. Gonk (Gonk!) 15:11, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

  • D'oh! Ignore the guestbook thing above. I got your talk page confused with somebody else's there for a minute! Gonk (Gonk!) 15:12, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

It is interesting to note

The type of phrasing listed above smacks of speculation and, unless sourced with a legitimate reference, should not be placed on Wookieepedia articles. As such, I've reverted your edit to Ahsoka; please don't add that back in again, as that will be considered edit-warring and breaking Wookieepedia policy. Thank you. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Talk page) 00:01, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

  • The fact that both characters use the stance is canonical, and that can be referenced from their respective appearances. But implying some sort of connection between them is original research, which is what the "it is interesting to note" bit does, and which is why I've removed it and will remove it. We don't allow original research (OR) at Wookieepedia, so unless there's a canonical statement connecting Ahsoka and Marek, it does not need to be in either of their articles. Atarumaster88 Jedi Order (Talk page) 00:10, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

People vs. George Lucas

User:Milo fett/The People vs. George Lucas has been moved back to your user space: as a subject for an article, it doesn't yet meet the requirements on Wookieepedia:Notability of fan projects. If the fanfilm is completed and/or the project receives significant mainstream attention (i.e. not just from Star Wars fansites) it could be recreated. Cheers, —Silly Dan (talk) 02:42, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

  • SillyDan sums it all up. Fanboys is a special case because of the media attention it's received and its official seal of approval, etc. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 12:59, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Quote removal

Hi Milo. I have been removing a number of unsourced quotes from articles, which was the case with Clone trooper. I had been putting "unsourced quote" in the edit summary, but had inadvertantly copy-and-pasted something in between, which is where the "Rought Draft" came in. If you know the source of the quote I removed, please add the quote back with the appropriate source. --Eyrezer 04:00, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Boba Fett's theme

I don't know much about this piece. Ozzel stated that it was a minor theme in his massive detailed "how to" guide to music articles. You might ask him. Master Fredcerique 12:48, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

One month already

Hello to all the members of WookieeProject: The Clone Wars. Considering the project has just been launched, we've had a great first month, taking three articles to FA status and five articles to GA status. I would like to remind you to please try to do whatever you can to help out; there are still many potential articles that can be taken up as projects, and many of you are already working very hard on them. In the next month, we have a goal to double (if not multiply even more) our current FAs and GAs, because once Season Two starts airing, there will be a ton of more articles that will require attention, and it's best if we get as many as we can out of the way now. Thank you for contributing! Your project head, CC7567 (talk) 20:17, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

TCW Check-in

So that our project doesn't end up like that show.
Hey Milo fett! This is your monthly check-in from your project head of WookieeProject The Clone Wars. Our Featured Articles haven't seen any additions as of yet, but our Good Articles are steadily growing. I'd like to remind you to check the current projects listing when you have the chance. If you still have the intent on working on any projects (specifically within the next two or three weeks) that you've reserved there, then it's fine. If you no longer have the intent to work on your project(s), please update it so that others have the chance to work on items there. Thanks again! Your project head, CC7567 (talk) 00:33, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

WP:TCW

Hey Milo fett. As project head for WP:TCW, I'm trying to get a better idea of who's still interested in participating in our project. If you're still interested in participating, please leave a note on my talk page or contact me in IRC. If you do not respond within a week, I will assume that you are no longer interested in participating. That doesn't mean that your name will be removed from the "Participants" list, but it means that any of your current projects will be removed from the project page so that others have a chance to work on them. Likewise, if you currently have any projects under your belt, I highly encourage you to review them, and if you don't plan on working on them within the next two or three weeks, I recommend reconsidering them. Thanks. Your project head, CC7567 (talk) 05:46, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Year templates

Milo, I appreciate you adding year templates to articles. Two suggestions for as you work: (1) Double check the math, especially from the Treaty of Coruscant. (2) Please source information. Things, such as Palpatine being Emperor can be sourced directly to the films, for example. There are a few of us trying to go throw and source all the facts in these year articles since they are magnets for fanon. Thanks. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 02:40, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

  • No problem. Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 02:44, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
  • Also, when creating year articles, please be sure to include a proper "Appearances" or "Sources" section. Every article must have this. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:09, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
    • Maybe you didn't understand, so I'll repeat myself. Please make sure to include an "Appearances" or "Sources" section, or both, to any article you create. I have done so to the 3700 BBY article to show you the difference. Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:41, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

CadBane-DK
Hello everyone, this is CC7567 from WookieeProject The Clone Wars. It is currently six months after the project was started, and the number of individual projects is steadily growing. While I am happy that so many of you are writing for the WookieeProject, the majority of articles there have been sitting there for months. Several users even have ten projects or more at the moment, and I am frankly just disappointed at the level of inactivity that is befalling our articles. I understand that many of you have other obligations, and while I respect that, the responsibility falls to you to judge whether or not you're still capable of writing all of these articles, whether in time or in energy. For this reason, I once again urge you to reconsider your current projects. The criteria should be that you have the unrelenting intent to finish all of your projects within the next month. I myself have had to reconsider my own projects on account of real-life time constraints. I do not want to have to set a limit to the number of projects per user, but if it comes down to that, I will, because I do not want to see the project deteriorate and hope that you do not want to either. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 19:17, October 31, 2009 (UTC)

Source for this

In the The Clone Wars TV Wookieproject Talk page, you said that Boba Fett said that he would not work for the Rebels because they were evil. I want to know where that was stated.

Bounty Hunters affiliation

Since BH have no affiliation, as long as they are paid, isn't it wrong to affiliate them to the "Order of the Sith Lords"? Shouldn't them be affiliated to "Bounty Hunters"? Alexrd 16:48, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

   * You mean Cad Bane, right? Since he had worked directly for a Sith Lord, I think the title applies. —Milo Fett[Comlink] 18:39, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
o I disagree. Just because he's worked for Darth Sidious and the Confederacy does not mean he is affiliated with them. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 18:41, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
+ Actually, it would. That's like saying that just because Shahan Alama worked for Cad Bane's posse doesn't mean he's affiliated with Cad Bane's posse. Or, for another example, just because Wilhuff Tarkin worked for the Galactic Empire, doesn't mean he's affiliated with them. That's not true. The definition of "affiliate" is to connect or associate oneself (which would include "to work for") an organization/movement etc. Jonjedigrandmaster (Jedi Beacon) 19:44, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
                     # Exactly. Notice how Boba Fett isn't affiliated with the Order of Sith Lords because even though Vader gave him orders from time to time, he was working for the Empire. Sidious presumably wanted a holocron (just any old holocron would do, apparently) for his own ends, and Bane even referred to him as a "Sith Lord employer" or something, not as someone working on behalf of the Confederacy. —Milo Fett[Comlink] 21:04, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
                           * I guess it comes down to your interpretation. To use an example of being a contract worker as opposed to a direct employee. I work for a a company. I am affiliated with them because I am an employee. We hire someone to repair our generator if it malfuctions. He is a contract worker. He is not affiliated with us any more than he is any other company that hires his services. He is affiliated with only himself. Same goes here to my way of thinking. To me, to say Bane is affiliated with The Sith or the Confederacy is to say he supports or believes in their cause. He doesn't. He believes in only himself. That's how I view affiliation. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 23:09, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
o Ultimately, yes, Bane's affiliations are to the highest bidder. If it really becomes a problem, then I have no problem changing it to that, but I believe it's fine the way it is right now. CC7567 (talk) 23:14, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
+ Per CC. JangFett (Talk) 23:17, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
                                             # Funny you say that, CC. :) If it were still up for GA nom with the affiliations as is, I'd have had to object. What you just said, I think, is perfect for what the "affiliations" section of his infobox should say: Highest bidder, and it can be referenced to his Databank entry. - JMAS Hey, it's me! 23:40, October 3, 2009 (UTC)
                                                   * Would being on retainer count? I don't think there's any source saying he is, but would it? —Milo Fett[Comlink] 00:28, October 4, 2009 (UTC)
o So, wouldn't be fine to just affiliate bounty hunters to bounty hunters? Can't that be an affiliation category? I think JMAS has explained my point. Alexrd 17:47, October 9, 2009 (UTC)
+ "Highest bidder" is still more specific and what they're actually affiliated to. Cad Bane isn't affiliated to a "bounty hunter"; he's affiliated to the highest bidder, and so are most other hunters. CC7567 (talk) 20:31, October 9, 2009 (UTC)
                                                                     # Ok. What about the other Bounty hunters? I wasn't talking just about Bane. Cato Parasitti, and the others need to be changed too, right?Alexrd 17:26, October 10, 2009 (UTC)
                                                                           * You're welcome to change them yourself if you so see fit. No one's preventing you from editing the page. CC7567 (talk) 18:24, October 10, 2009 (UTC)
o With some exceptions, of course. For example, numerous sources say Boba Fett wouldn't work for the Rebel Alliance because he viewed them to be evil. —Milo Fett[Comlink] 19:37, October 10, 2009 (UTC)

Sundari (city)

Hi. Not that I'm complaining, but out of curiosity, what's the source that Sundari is the capital of Kalevala? I know that Kalevala has been named Satine's homeworld in the complete encyclopedia but I haven't seen anything about Borg City. I'd love to know that it's true. • You're right, I was aware of a lot of that; in fact, I was one of the ones fussing. I was hoping, however, that there was a legitimate source for it yet and not just speculation. We'll just have to wait and see with our fingers crossed. Moon Demon 04:35, January 11, 2010 (UTC)

Official or not Official, that is the Question:

Hi Milo, I figured this topic would get a bit sloppy in the article so I'll add to my remarks here.

The fact there is a Fan criticism of George Lucas article in this Wiki clearly indicates there is a significant body of STAR WARS fans disgruntled with "George Lucas' Grand Plan" because it violates many principals of customer service and good business practices. Contrary to his remarks about "I just make movies", George Lucas owns and operates a significant empire of non-movie products.

The "Clone Wars" film, as you mentioned earlier, is a prime example of bad business practices because it tramples many expensive products we paid for. As fans, we expected these products to be quality items because of the STAR WARS logo imprinted on them. The STAR WARS logo and products associated with it no longer mean quality or reliability as they did decades ago. This too is a major bone of contention many new STAR WARS fans simply do not understand.

Mr. Lucas' decisions have motivated some license holders to not renew their licenses because he has made the collectible and memorabilia market so sour that STAR WARS products progressively have become harder and harder to sell. This is why "Consumer perspective" is very important in understanding the perspective of disgruntled STAR WARS fans. Many fans/consumers feel robbed or betrayed by a franchise that had tremendous resources at its disposal and absolutely had no excuse producing such shoddy inconsistent products.

Milo imagine, if you will, Topps Cards announced all its "official" baseball cards from 1970 to 1979 are no longer "official" and had no value. Also imagine if Chevrolet announced all its 2006 automobiles were no longer "Official Chevrolet" products and that they will be no longer supporting them with parts or service. This is pretty much the mindset of the "consumers" of 3 decades of STAR WARS products after all the chaos of the Prequel Trilogy and the "Clone Wars" film. For many STAR WARS fans, they have just tuned out and found other things to do. We have lost those fans and their children forever. Fortunately I am not one of those fans. I still seek to preserve the original STAR WARS history in every way I can. -- Frank V Bonura 12:56, February 9, 2010 (UTC)

"Our time has come."
Hello <insert name here>! So, it's been a little over three months since The Old Republic was released, and WookieeProject: The Old Republic, which was founded almost two years ago now, was in dire need of a revamp and update. Participation has slumped, but it's time to get back on the wagon and refocus our efforts. So here are some stats: currently, we have ten Featured Articles, thirty-one Good Articles, and thirty-four Comprehensive Articles. Cal Jedi and Coruscantfan have both been doing great work lately, but we need more users to start undertaking projects from the game and related materials. Comprehensive articles are a great way to get started, so take a leap, pick an article, and get crackin'.

Beyond status articles, there are a few other ways you can help WP: TOR with it's primary goals. Those of you who have a current subscription to the game are welcome to visit our new guild page, where we're setting up in-game groups to help catalogue and confirm information here on Wookieepedia. Aside from that, our article lists can always use expansions. We have some fun new programs and challenges coming to WP:TOR in the future, so take a look at our news and discussion area for updates, and always remember to add any of your new status article successes to the news board.
If you have any questions or comments, head on over to the forums or let me know on my talk page. Take a look around the updated project page, and happy hunting! Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 09:52, March 11, 2012 (UTC)
