Clone assassins FAN

Just so you know, Clone assassins isn't the first "out of project" nom for WP:TCW. :P JangFett Talk 23:01, September 17, 2009 (UTC)

Dialog-error.svg You have been blocked from editing for three months for the (third) nomination of Unidentified Twi'lek Sith. I think this falls under disruption; you ignored an AC/administrative warning to take up the issues with the article with me and you neglected to do so, instead nominating the article for a third time without making any changes since the last nomination.. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 22:42, September 25, 2009 (UTC)

GAN objection

Hello, Naru. You currently have a relatively minor outstanding objection pending a response from you on the GAN page. See Floyd's C'borp nom. Please find some time to respond to the objection soon so that the nomination may be archived as successful. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:38, March 17, 2010 (UTC)

Clone officer

Naru, I don't really get what you mean with a "fully sourcable rank". Stormtrooper is just a name like clone trooper and no rank. --Clone Commander Lee Talk 19:19, March 19, 2010 (UTC)

From Doc2725

Hey Naru,

I love how many edits you have made on pages. You are definitely a fan like me, and I am sure you know a lot more. i am sorry we are having this disagreement, but what I posted is not canon. It isn't all that different from what you wrote. Perhaps we can come to some sort of compromise. I am really into Operation Knightfall and that fall of the temple. What if I took out that they almost broke through the clone line? Even though I have read it somewhere before. Again I like all your posts and you have a really cool page.

Doc2725 13:11, March 24, 2010 (UTC)Doc

Sparring Partner

Yo! There's no proof that the sparring partner is an Imperial Knight, so I'm wondering what your reasoning was behind changing the name of the article. For all we know, she could just be a courtesan that the Emperor was boning and also sparring with. Menkooroo 07:22, April 8, 2010 (UTC)

  • I wasn't asserting that she was Jedi or Sith --- simply pointing out that there's really nothing to indicate that she's an IK. You don't have to be Force-sensitive to wield a lightsaber, as The Clone Wars has shown on numerous occasions; specifically in regards to sparring see Callista-minus-the Force sparring with Luke in Darksaber. So really, she could just be a random woman that Roan was getting it on with while sparring a little in the meantime. Or, failing that, she could be an Imperial Knight candidate, or any number of other things. That was what we all assumed when the issue came out a year and a half ago --- that is, that we assuredly don't know who or what she is --- and no new evidence has arrived, so there's no reason to change the title of the article at this point. I don't want to get into an edit war with you, but I do want to change the title of the article back. Menkooroo 04:57, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
    • Ooooooh. "Unidentified female duelist". I like that. Consider it done! Menkooroo 05:12, April 9, 2010 (UTC)
      • I'm a fan of the fist bump. But you gotta explode afterwards. Boom! Or... swish! Or something. Menkooroo 05:20, April 9, 2010 (UTC)

Jae Akura

Please note that while you have voted for the Jae Akura FAN, your objection for it remains unstricken. Please try to check it when you get the chance, as it will otherwise prevent the nomination from moving forward. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 22:36, April 16, 2010 (UTC)

Unidentified Jedi (Endar Spire)

Hey Naru, how's it been? Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I think the Jedi is mentioned in the strategy guide, I'll double-check for you and let you know.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 18:22, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

  • I'll get it for you tomorrow, then. Im the meantime, could you review Koffi Arana for me, please?--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 19:35, April 23, 2010 (UTC)
    • She is mentioned in the guide as "a Jedi master of yours." Not really notable, since she obviously can't be Revan's Jedi Master, but the guide does state the Jedi was a "Jedi master", though it does not state gender.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 21:34, April 24, 2010 (UTC)
      • OK, I'll have it for you tomorrow.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 23:40, April 26, 2010 (UTC)
        • Here ya go, Naru. "Prior to reaching the bridge, you witness a fight pitting a Dark Jedi against one of you own Jedi masters. Alas, both fall!" It could mean nothing, it could warrant a change in the title. I would suggest asking Cylka about this.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 18:36, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Your changes to Arana

I wanted to talk to you about some of these changes, first the quote. I know that normally it should say "dark side" but that is not the way it is presented in the comic, which is why I had it the first way. And in the intro and bio, what's with the Dark Lord Darth Sidious? I don't feel that his true identity has any relevance to Arana, see these articles for example. ALso, it should be noted that the comic itself calls him Palps, and we don't know for sure that all the Jedi knew that he was Darth Sidious. Thirdly, the CIS, I feel, needs to be mentioned specifically, not just pipelinked as a number of planets. And I have no issue with the other changes you made.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 18:17, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

  • One more example for you.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 21:31, April 24, 2010 (UTC)
    • I added some context on the CIS to the bio, please let me know what you think. I aslo believe I've taken care of your objections.--Jedi Kasra (comlink) 23:39, April 26, 2010 (UTC)
    • Fwiw, you don't have to contextify the CIS or the Clone Wars. I'd even say it diminishes the article's quality. But it's your call, just don't feel you have to accept Naru's personal preferences as necessary. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 16:58, April 27, 2010 (UTC)
      • Acky, it's my objection, if he doesn't want to do it, he just has to say so. If it isn't an absolute, this piece of information is missing, I rarely persue an objection. Don't feel like you have to follow my every word, these interjections were starting to get a bit annoying months ago so I certainly don't feel like dealing with them now. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 02:59, April 28, 2010 (UTC)
        • I'm merely commenting in the interest of article quality. If you want to deal with that, feel free. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 15:54, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

Some stoof:

  • Please go through the article and capitalize ranks and titles referring to a person, such as Queen.
  • His species and gender need a mention in the body.
  • "Gelesi was one of the soldiers who verified a starport visa owned by the Jedi Exile, a former Jedi Knight fleeing Vaklu's men after they had interrupted her meeting with a Royalist leader who was one of the few Jedi Masters left alive in the wake of a recent Jedi purge." Could you possibly split up this, rather long sentence?

I have to say, this little edit war you've been engaging in over the Set and Veré articles may just be the most ridiculous edit war I've seen on this site. "Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala marry" is a sentence with a verb-only predicate; therefore, a period is needed at the end. Further removal of said period from the image caption in either article will be viewed as disruption and will result in a block from editing. Thank you for your cooperation. • Just so you know, (and why I initially included History and other categories) there is a precedent in which organizations are formatted in FAs that can help with CAs. History and Bts are the most important to be included as categories aside from the article summary, but CANs do not always have histories. Equipment is another separate category that is unique to military organizations. Categories can help organize information (even if it is scant) for easy reference to someone trying to find something specific. Barn-burner: Halfway home

Hey there, Naru.

Have some Wookiee-ookiees.

I want to thank you for your efforts so far during Wookieepedia's first barn-burner. This is a not-so-personal message that's being sent out to every participant, but rest assured that everybody affiliated with this project deserves the highest praise. I've been very pleased with the number of users who have been writing, nominating, and reviewing Wookiees and Wookiee-related articles this month. Awesome job, all of you.

We're a little past the halfway mark, and at this point, I'd like to encourage everybody to focus their efforts on reviewing. Many users have been reviewing a lot already, and yes, you're absolutely welcome and encouraged to continue writing and nominating articles at this point. I just want to encourage everyone to take some time and help out others, which was one of the original purposes of this project. Additionally, the more reviewing that we all participate in, the more articles we can see promoted before the end of the month. Anything promoted after the end of May will still count as being part of the barn-burner, but it would be cool to get as much through as we can before then.

We have a list of current nominations for handy reference. If you feel inclined, find some that tickle your fancy and go nuts. Thanks again for all of your hard work. Cheers. Menkooroo 07:01, May 17, 2011 (UTC)

My aggressive wording

Hello NaruHina, I'd just like to apologize if the wording in my comment to you on the KB thread "The Floor of Kashyyyk" sounded a bit harsh. I just really don't like it when people talk about Lucas hating the EU. But I probably could've said it in a more constructive way than I did. It's unfortunate that all users here (myself included) tend to give the newbies a bit of a hard time, even though the Wook is far from a complete encyclopedia of fact, and I just didn't like the answer that Needham was given, which included a Lucas-bashing line. I hope my opinion here doesn't damage my standing in this wiki. Taral, Dark Lord of the Sith -Just shy, not antisocial: You can talk to me!- 17:58, May 30, 2011 (UTC)

Re:We want you

Hey Naru, first off I'd like to thank you for your support. While I was disappointed to receive so many negative votes when I nominated myself, the underlying reasons—namely, self-nominating and lack of experience—were entirely logical. But the fact that you've taken the initiative to see me renominated means a great deal to me, and I wholly appreciate it. So, to answer your question, yes, I'd love to be nominated again. :P Many thanks to you, Naru!—Axinal Convocation Chamber 00:25, June 2, 2011 (UTC)

Wow, just wow

Look you have almost everything about what I wrote wrong. I love the clone commando books, and for that matter Karen Travis. I meant the author of the Han Solo Tri that started this whole mess. also I didn't post on you page because I thought that you posting on the message thing that I made kind of associated me with what you wrote. Darth Needham 23:53, June 2, 2011 (UTC)

I don't think we can agree to disagree, after hearing what you've said I would like to say something that I didn't think I was going to when we first started arguing on the data bank and that is your right. I actually agree with on some of that Karen stuff, and # million clones, I did the math thats 2.5 clones a planet, really she just cant say 3 million clones was enough! However what swayed me was you opinion of Zahn, great auther (to find out a little more about this look at my user page), so we can Agree to agree :). Darth Needham 02:23, June 3, 2011 (UTC)

CAN issues

Your role on the CAN page to judge the writing of nominations is one that can ensure the quality of this wikia, and I can see that you are very passionate about it, and you have some awards to show for it. However, please keep things in perspective. This is a fun project that we all can share in and enjoy. Occasionally, admins need to ensure that the enjoyment can continue by making and enforcing rules, and I will respect admins' reproof when it is given. However, since you are not an EC, INC, AC, or an Admin, your attempt to provide me with an administrative warning on the CAN page by threatening me with the ban associated with violating Wookieepedia Rules is inappropriate when it is not your place to enforce these Rules. Some of the comments listed above show that this is not the first time you have butt heads with others, some of whom (including admins) felt you were excessive to the point of causing disruption. This will be the last I will address you on this matter and I hope that we can move forward and continue to create quality articles and critique them to perfection. GethralkinHyperwave 08:32, June 7, 2011 (UTC)

  • I see a misunderstanding happened along the way, and for that I apologize. GethralkinHyperwave 05:22, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

CAN Limit

You have mentioned that a CAN has a 200 word limit. I read that the word limit in a CAN "must not exceed 250 words in length," and if the article "reaches 200 words or greater," then an intro needs to be added that "does not elevate the article over 250 words." Has the 250 word limit changed, or am I missing something, here? GethralkinHyperwave 05:22, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

  • If I may butt in: if the word count is 200 or over, you should try and see if adding a proper intro would elevate word count over 250 and thus making it eligible for GAN. There's simply no reason trying to avoid reaching any word limits here. –Tm_T (Talk) 05:27, June 8, 2011 (UTC)
    • I am not talking about avoiding word limits, just that the limit appears to be 250. I am all for making GAs, but I object to inflating an CAN needlessly just to try to qualify it for GA status. I can see if it is pushing close to 200 words where perhaps wording something a little differently can bring the count from 198 to 200. An intro, therefore, is appropriate after breaking that limit—in which case, the intro would not contribute to the original 200+ count, but add afterward toward a count that if less than 250 would still qualify for CAN. If it goes over the 250 then GA nomination is appropriate. However, the limit we are talking about here is 250 words, and when an article is only 180 words or so in length, an intro added to that is not appropriate. Therefore hindering a CAN's success because an objector wants to have filler added to it to boost over 200 words or insisting that an article be moved to the GAN page because it is "close" to 200 words does not appear to correspond with the CAN rules. GethralkinHyperwave 08:04, June 8, 2011 (UTC)
      • Uh, that sounds weird to say the least. Anyway, there's no limit when article cannot have an intro. With rather short non-bts contents it doesn't make much sense ofcourse but there's no word count limit that I know of. Simply put: if article already has an intro and it works, let it be; if article doesn't have an intro and the word count is over 200 or near it and the contents allows a reasonable intro be written, do it and see if it works. After that see if it fits to CAN or GAN process. I cannot remember seeing any objections from Naru that were made only to puff the article to meet particular limits. And now I'm babbling, more coffee. (: –Tm_T (Talk) 08:16, June 8, 2011 (UTC)
        • Splitting a short article up is not practical if the intro is basically a repeat of the body. Anyhow, Naruhina has cleared up the confusion for me, so thanks Naru, I get it now. GethralkinHyperwave 22:44, June 8, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Another peek

Sorry about the wait, the article implies that there was an independent government controlling the centrality when the Republic was "crumbling". It doesn't give a name for the government but it says it was too weak to spread aid to its struggling people.

Under the Empire the Centrality was semi-independent and was economically aided by the Empire. The centrality swore allegience to the Empire which took control of the military in the area. The Empire did not invade any planets though. The article says that Palpatine viewed the world as too remote to have any importance just as the Hutts did before him. The Rebellion had a few cells in the region but they also viewed the area as unimportant.

During the days of the New Republic, the centrality is under its own control again. The Centrality views the New Republic skeptically but has signed a "treaty of goodwill" with them. They opposed joining the New Republic however. In this time the Centrality's navy is filled with old Imperial vessels which the article says were strong enough to hold control over the region.

The invasion of the Yuuzhan Vong brought a wave of refugees to the Centrality, bringing overpopulation, unemployment, and a rising amount of crime. The government was threatened by Renatasian terrorism and feared Yuuzhan Vong invasion. During this time Fleet Admiral Sris Lehhett took control of the goverment in a "bloody military coup", and proclaimed himself Scrivinir (The supreme representatve of the Centrality). The former Scrivinir, Ottdefa Tavell Geen, fled to Coruscant and tried to gain support there to regain control of the Centrality. Scrivinir Lehhett was determined to stop the terrorism with "blunt force" (Earlier he was part of an invasion force that went to Renatasia. He also advocated Imperial doctrines.) As Scrivinir, Lehhett adopted ISB indimidation to hold his regime together. He halted immigration and conscripted many into the military. Some systems, such as Osean, protested his regime and as the article said, "have gone to the point of declaring that they will succeed from the coalition.)

Something else you might want from the article was that the Centrality was a barren region located between the Cron Drift and Hutt Space. If you need more information I will be happy to help.--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest.svg (Greetings) 12:46, June 21, 2011 (UTC)

We're halfway there

Hey NaruHina... good job

So guys, we're nearing the halfway point with this barn-burner. I just want to send out a broad message thanking everyone who has and plans on participating in Wookieepedia's second barn-burner, and update you guys on how it's going so far. So far, we have promoted nine Comprehensive Articles, twelve Good Articles, and one Featured Article! Fantastic job everyone who wrote and reviewed those weapons articles, I couldn't have asked for a better group to do so. We also have a number of current Good and Featured Article Nominations currently up, which you can see here.

However, as we approach the halfway point, I do want to encourage you all to keep writing and reviewing weapon articles for the barn-burner. Our goal should be to meet or surpass the level set by the previous barn-burner, which had over forty promoted articles. While we should aim to pass as many articles as possible by the end of the month, I may extend the barn-burner a little into September for any stragglers, especially for those Users who are writing extremely long Featured Articles for the project.

I should also notify participants of a recent Consensus Track over weapons that is about to pass. The CT is over when we should fill in the "Owners" field for Template:Weapon. Right now, it seems as if we are leaning towards filling in the field for unique weapon types, and not filling in the field for general weapon types. As such, we should fix any weapons we have, or will, write for the barn-burner to fit these new parameters. Thanks you for reading this, and keep up the good work. Kilson(Let's have a chat) 09:42, August 15, 2011 (UTC)

Please take a look at your remaining objection to Graffiti-bomb. It is ready to pass when you've struck the objection. Thanks. 1358 (Talk) 08:04, August 21, 2011 (UTC)

Burl Ives

Hey NaruHina. I see you've done some edits to Burl Ives, although I didn't notice that until I had started my own. I hope I didn't tread on any of your plans or anything. I just would hate to see that article lose it's FA status so I was trying to do what I could to save it. I planned on adding a bit more to the article, if that's cool? — Hunter Kahn 01:35, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

RE: Eras

Ummm...I am a little confused here, I am not really sure what you are trying to ask me. I will try to answer the best I can, but since I have the Wii version of the game which does not have the databank, I am unsure how it related to gameplay. I think that it was intended that the databank entries to be from the same time as the game, but I do not think that we can say this without speculation. Unless the databank can be accessed during gameplay then I do not believe that we can authoritatively say what era the entries are part of. What do you think of this reasoning?--Exiled Jedi Oldrepublic crest.svg (Greetings) 16:33, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

Just wanted to encourage everyone participating in December's barn-burner on Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace to keep up the hard work! Only two articles have been passed, but five are currently nominated, and I suspect numerous projects are underway. The month is over halfway through, so we need to hurry and finish as many articles as we can before the end of the month. Keep writing and keep reviewing! Also, don't forget about the current CT on Databank entries in the "Sources" section, as many articles will have to be updated to meet the new criteria. I thank all of you for taking part in this project and working to make the site better for the release of The Phantom Menace in 3-D in February, and I'm confident the results will be satisfactory. • Aw, I thought I was the only one. Not special. :3 It's on Pages 44, and 59-61. As for something you can help me with, I've been wondering for twelve years how the book ends. Also, is this person's presence covered by some character in the novel or does it just say "that person over there tells everyone—Mace Windu, Yoda, Qui-Gon Jinn, Everyone—to lead the people outside while he or she will clear the bombs and save the girl single-handedly"? NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 03:52, January 17, 2012 (UTC)
        • Looks like the novel makes Yoda the hero, whereas the game book allows the player to be some random Jedi. The final chapter has Chief Scientist Frexton arrested, and Teela Panjarra is safe. The Jedi go back to Coruscant, but Bama Vook and Leeper stay on Corulag to start a shipping business. On the Radiant VII, Obi-Wan asks Adi Gallia how she saved Qui-Gon's life at some point in the past. She says she has no idea. Qui-Gon says she stopped him from eating some bad food at a banquet once. Windu gets a message from Valorum that the Neimoidians are up to something in the Darpa sector. Obi-Wan wonders who hired the Bartokks, and Qui-Gon says they may never know. Meanwhile, Boonda and Groodo the Hutts curse the Jedi for foiling their plot, and then secure transport back to Esseles with Bama Vook. The end! ~SavageBOB sig.png 04:35, January 17, 2012 (UTC)
          • FINALLY! Thanks, Bob! That was the last time I picked up something from a free book pile without reading it because it said Star Wars on the front. Twelve years of gnawing assauged in an instant! Nonetheless, Yoda as the protagonist means I feared correctly and I won't be able to go anywhere with this article without owning the main book myself. The search continues! NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 04:49, January 17, 2012 (UTC)
            • One more thing, while I've actually made the article, does the main book say anything about the shaft maintenance droid? It's on page 67 of the game book. And was the Science Service given any proper context? NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 05:38, January 17, 2012 (UTC)
              • Sorry, Naru, just noticed this followup question. In the novel, the droid doesn't seem to play any role. Yoda follows Frexton by jumping down the shaft onto the descending lift, which appears to be the first choice in the game book. As for the Science Service, all we know is that they are affiliated with "the Academy," and that they have a tower with a nursery in it for employees' children. That really seems to be it... ~SavageBOB sig.png 01:45, January 30, 2012 (UTC)

Palpatine implying that Anakin would turn to the Dark Side if he killed him on the spot quote.

Here's the quote regarding Palpatine's implication of Anakin turning to the Dark Side if he struck him down then and there:

Palpatine: Are you going to kill me?

Anakin: I would most certainly want to...

Palpatine: I know you would. I can feel your anger. It gives you focus... Makes you stronger...

In particular, it's the third line right there, as immediately after that line, Anakin shuts off his lightsaber. Weedle McHairybug 02:39, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

I'm moving the conversation to user talk since we're getting away from the article topic itself. Firstly: yes, "this" is used to give context, but whether or not a word is capable of giving context has nothing to do with how it is used regarding tense. "This" refers to something present and currently demonstrable, a point you've as-of-yet failed to provide any logical examples for why it shouldn't be the case. (And please be aware that if you or Trayus or anyone else does provide such logical proof, then I'll be more than willing to immediately let this whole thing go.) Furthermore—mind, I can only speak for myself—I typically (if not always) mentioned exactly why I made an objection to "this," and people were also always free to question it. I want to reiterate that we didn't whimsically or capriciously decide that it looked or sounded better; it was originally done because we honestly thought it was a grammar issue that needed fixing. (I'd also like to point out that when this started—about two years ago for me, possibly more than that for others—Cal hadn't joined the Wook yet, so it's possible he was just never given an explanation on the matter. And would you mind pointing me to other occasions you've heard that opinion?) Anyway, let's both try and keep this civil; I'll simmer down, you'll drop the accusations, and everybody will be cool. :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 19:08, April 5, 2012 (UTC)

  • Hey, Jon, here's how I see it. This and these have no tense, simply because they are not verbs, and only verbs have tense as I understand it. Nevertheless, there is a connection to the present implied in the word this, as the definition from Merriam-Webster attests: "the person, thing, or idea that is present or near in place, time, or thought or that has just been mentioned." source However, note that it is "place, time, or thought" that the word refers to. Thus, I can see why you and others may object to the word on the grounds that it refers to the present time, which is one definition. However, I'd argue that in the context of a Wookieepedia article, it refers to the an idea that is "present ... in thought" instead. So, now we have to deal with "present in thought"; is that a violation of in/out-of-universe? I can see why it might be argued that way, since "present in thought" does not sound too compatible with "a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away." But I don't see that as a compelling reason. If we're supposed to represent an in-universe encyclopedia, then "present in thought" is perfectly OK and kosher with an in-universe perspective. After all, an in-universe encyclopedia has readers, and our job is to bring ideas into their minds. These ideas are what we refer to with this, and that shouldn't be a problem in my mind. Hope that makes sense! ~SavageBOB sig.png 21:03, April 5, 2012 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the input, Bob. :) I still think it doesn't really fit in the past tense, but I understand the other viewpoint there, too; because now there's at least some form of logical argument behind it. So I'll still avoid using "this," but I won't make an objection out of it if someone else uses it (unless we ultimately get some kind of site-wide consensus one way or the other, which I don't think will happen anytime soon—I can already see one half of our user-base split down the middle in a CT of "use 'this'" vs. "don't use 'this,'" with the other half all voting in the omnipresent "meh" section). Anyway, cheers guys, Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 21:24, April 5, 2012 (UTC)
      • Well, before Cheers, I want to point out that allowing the author to decide is one of the things I point to as an option all the time. If it would be fair to say we have pet issues we care most abou, author choice is mine. I also want to point out that my stance on "This" has never been based upon the belief that "A" should not be used. It is based in I don't want to use it, here's why (grammatical word), but you can use it on your articles if you want to. Just don't force me to do it. For example, I use "the planet of Coruscant" whereas most people use the phrasing "the planet Coruscant". Is one right and the other wrong? No, they're both right. In my mind, the latter is more correct than the former because you would not call a city "the city Townsville", but the former is still right and is used in-universe (both have been) which renders argument against its use moot (the whole issue is moot because they've both been used). Even were it not IU and I did not believe in author choice, I still would not object to leaving out "of" on the grounds that it is a valid option: see the frequency of "the planet Earth." Per SavageBob, who shares my reasoning and was far better at expressing it (as usual), there are compelling arguments for both based upon the same base source. By allowing author choice on highly debatable grammar issues like this, when both sides have compelling arguments but deciding the debate one way or the other concretely would not affect the reader's eperience one tiny bit, we avoid these explosive, poisonous, virtually pointless debates. This way, we may split the Wook between those who use one way and those who don't, but how is that a negative thing? It allows variety and fluidity where setting things in stone can make things rigid for a different person's writing style or have even have unintended consequences: "A rebel soldier fought in the Alliance to Restore the Republic's military." Are you talking about a specific soldier or a Republic soldier in general? Yes, that's answered by the sentence's context as the first of the article on the soldier, but it's still weird phrasing. This would be a case where "This" would have a reason to be used that is not arbitrary or even customary (different writing style), but would have a logical basis. Similarly, if I were to write a sentence that went something like "A Dark Jedi of the Disciples of Ragnos was part of a group of Dark Jedi assigned to the planet of Corellia," I would consciously omit the "of" in "the planet of" so that sentence would have one less "of". I personally can stand one repeat in the sentence, but two starts sounding odd. There are exceptions and qualifications to virtually every facet of grammer we could sit and debate and take strong, polarized stances on. Concreting things only serves to upset those who took the opposing stance and, because those people are used to writing it one way, it makes phrasing those things in their head more difficult, and progressively so the more rules we concrete. Author choice is the way to go. Everyone is happy with the articles they are writing and can tolerate differences, there's more variety between how articles were written so they're not homogenous (I've heard someone say, reading articles, they notice there are about 7 patterns peope follow), and we don't have to pick over articles for apocryphal grammar rules we personally don't like for whatever reason. • I realize we both came off as hostile to each other over on the CAN, but I made a distinct effort to be civil here, and saying "before cheers" is not an appropriate response. I already requested once that you keep this civil, and I'll only do it one more time: please, avoid such unnecessary discourtesis that only serve to distract from the discussion at hand. Now, I'm going to take your post one point at a time. Firstly, author preference is not an option when it's a strict matter of right vs. wrong; someone may prefer to say "I'm doing good" to "I'm doing well," but just because they like their way better does not make it right. I initially understood the use of "this" to be wrong; clearly, from the definition Bob found, it's a bit more complicated than I was originally told. (I should emphasize that I still think it's wrong to use, but I can understand why other people might not think so, which is the only reason why I won't still object to it.) Secondly, I never accused you of thinking that "A" shouldn't be used, so I don't know where you came up with that. Thirdly, if you really wanted to avoid a debate, you would've just changed the word and not complained about it, since you say you don't think using a different word is incorrect anyway. Fourthly, you may think it's great to split the Wook between users who write one way and those who write another, but plenty of people here think that consistency is in the best interests of being encyclopedic, and prefer sticking with one way—even if it's not their way. Fifthly, in stark contrast to earlier, now you are saying you think that "A" shouldn't be used in several circumstances, so I'm not entirely sure what to believe your stance on the matter is. Sixthly, regarding the idea that concreting things is going to upset some people who write differently: at the risk of sounding unsympathetic, is it really that hard to just get over it? I know I don't write on the Wook now how I did when I first joined. There are obvious stylistic differences you just have to get used to—differences between how people normally write elsewhere, and how they should write here; and those stylistic differences have practical purposes. Lastly, here we are again, back to the idea that more homogeneity is a bad thing: the vast majority of votes I've seen on CTs are for homogeneity and consistency here, so I very strongly disagree with your belief that most people think that different styles across the site is preferable. Otherwise, why would we use American English spellings instead of both American and British English? You may have to adapt your style—I know I had to in order to write here—but it really shouldn't be that big a deal. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 00:15, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
          • Hey, guys—sorry to butt in again. Jon, I didn't find Naru's comments above to be uncivil; I took his "before cheers" to be a "thanks for the civil debate" kind of comment. I may have misread it, though. At any rate, I think everyone comes off as a couple of shades ruder in plain text, so we should all probably assume that nothing is meant as an insult unless it's explicit, I think. Since you both seem to be agreed on the point of a and this being OK for the time being, maybe we can just leave this debate alone for a while and let everyone cool down? Sorry again to stick my neck in. I very much respect both of you for your work around the Wook. :) Best, ~SavageBOB sig.png 13:44, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
            • Hey, I just wanted to quickly mention what Trayus pointed out to me, which is basically what Menk said here: starting unidentified articles with "This" doesn't work because it's self-referencing the title from an OOU perspective. If we're going to allow the use of "this" in IU portions of articles, it needs to be in reference to something that was just said (per the definition you provided). Anyway, I'll leave the debate alone now; I just thought that was worth mentioning. Your mediation is much appreciated, Bob; the respect flows both ways here. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 14:40, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
            • Before I respond to Jon in full—and however you interperet it, uncivility is not going to be intended—I'm just going to point out you're not butting in, Bob. Your view is always appreciated here; you're much better at these sorts of things than I am. And you were right about my "Before Cheers" intent. :) Your opinion is too, Jon, which is why I'm going to take my time with this response. I want to try to be as clear as possible, so I'll follow your bullet points. Apparently you think we're coming at author choice from polarized viewpoints. We really aren't. We actually agree on a lot of these, but apparently I wasn't clear, which is one of my many character faults: I think I've covered something well, but I generally havent. :/ NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 17:45, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
              • I'm sorry, Jon, but school has picked up such that I haven't had any time to work on this. I rammed out about 6/7 of a first draft in the nights after my last post, but it quickly became apparent that writing at night for this wasn't wise: not enough lucidity to overcome passion. I've barely had any free time otherwise and what little I do have generally needs to go to sleep. I'll try to finish next time I have an extended vacation, but I just can't right now. Hope you'll understand, NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 21:20, April 22, 2012 (UTC)

Palpatine's insanity in the Atlas.

You mentioned you carved out the insanity mention and that someone with the Atlas should do a double check? Here's the passage that stated it:

"By this point in the war, Palpatine's spirit had returned in a fresh clone body, though his madness had only deepened. Rather than fortifying his recent gains, Palpatine struck at new targets using his latest superweapon, the Galaxy Gun."

It's on Page 205, near the top of the page, under the Dark Empire entry. That's where the insanity part came from. Weedle McHairybug 16:21, May 31, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Ref notes

They may have passed the nomination process without them, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't have them. Many things slip by nominations, especially CAnoms, but that doesn't mean that an article shouldn't be improved if it can be. That's why we don't just up and protect the pages whenever they pass a nomination, so they can be improved later if something was missed. I'm not saying that the ref notes were "missed," but it improves the article to have them. Please do not continue to revert my edits with the ref notes, as it is an improvement. Thank you.—Cal JediInfinite Empire.svg (Personal Comm Channel) 03:34, June 26, 2012 (UTC)

  • It does improve the quality. Quoting from the CAN page: "While this is not required for an article possessing a singular source, it is encouraged, as it provides both uniformity and a good infrastructure should the topic be referenced in any future materials." (boldness, mine) And these are not your articles. They are Wookieepedia's articles. If something can be improved on them, it should be done. I do not wish to get involved with an edit war with you either, so please stop. These edits are an improvement, and you have no right to revert these edits. Thank you.—Cal JediInfinite Empire.svg (Personal Comm Channel) 03:41, June 26, 2012 (UTC)
    • Naru, they are not your articles. You may have been the author, but you do not own these articles. I have taken many articles to status, only to have them edited after the fact. And do not insult me by trying to allude that I am doing this underhandedly. The RC's are open to all to see. There is nothing secret or underhanded about it. I have nothing further to say, so this will be my final word on the matter. Refrain from reverting my edits. I have given the facts. If you do not stop, I shall ask an administrator to intervene.—Cal JediInfinite Empire.svg (Personal Comm Channel) 03:47, June 26, 2012 (UTC)
  • I'm not posting here to take anyone's side, but rather to point out that both of you have violated, or come close to violating, the Three-revert rule. Probably best if you both refrain from touching the article while you hash this out. Menkooroo 03:52, June 26, 2012 (UTC)
    • Edit: Clarifying that "come close to" is correct. Apparently it's actually a four-revert rule. :P Apologies if it seemed like I was accusing either of you of something. Menkooroo 03:57, June 26, 2012 (UTC)
  • You cannot bring up something that happened last year and refer it to the present, and somehow glean underhandedness from it. A lot of things change in a year, three months, two months, a month. And whether you are the caretaker or not, you cannot stand between the article and someone wanting to improve it simply because you do not like it. If you do decide to change it back to its original state, I shall not revert it since I won't break the 3RR. However, if you do take it back to its original state, know that I will contact an admin (or more, if need be) about this matter. Disregard that last bit, NH. I can only think of emailing Steve Perry. I can't get an open line to Michael Reaves. The only real problem here is that if I do get a reply from Perry, we've little, if anything, to link it to. If you have a countermeasure for this problem, I'd love to hear it. Thank you! I'm still waiting on Perry, so I don't know how long it'll take, I'm afraid. If it takes too long, I could just reword the Behind the scenes section. OtterSurf (talk) 09:31, July 22, 2012 (UTC)

Well, my mistake then. I was the one who originally added that paragraph to the BtS of the "Grand Audience Chamber" article, so I guess I... sort of thought I could dispose of it myself. A rash moment, I suppose. Thanks for rectifying this mistake. --LelalMekha (talk) 18:37, July 24, 2012 (UTC)

  • Well indeed, it can be placed in both. I must confess I wished to avoid that only for a very pragmatic reason. I have a hard time formulating nice and encylopedic sentences in the language of Shakespeare; then if I must rephrase them on the top of it, things get even more complciated. :$ --LelalMekha (talk) 20:07, July 24, 2012 (UTC)

If you have time, I could use your help, my friend. I have those "Black-bearded Sanyassan" and "Imperial bully (Blockade of Kashyyyk)" I'd like to GAN, but I'd rather have someone read them beforehand to check the language and grammar. I've been pestering poor SavageBob and Menkooroo with similar requests too often those days, and I wondered if you could do me the favour to review those articles. Booooba Fett

Some people take so many chances with their lives that they’re already up to their third or fourth clone. I’ve lost track as to whether it’s Boooba Fett or Booooba Fett inside that Mandalorian armor. (The armor’s probably on its second or third generation, too. Fett gets shot at a lot.) Luuuke said that in an apology. Boooba is not the last clone. Took that straight from the site that an apology on it. DarthRevan1173 (talk) 02:45, August 8, 2012 (UTC)

  • That is Luuuke wondering if he's gotten that far. That is not enough for an article that would state definitively "he exists." The material outside the story confirms Booba's existence. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 02:46, August 8, 2012 (UTC)

        • Feel free to write up Roberts don't know much about him except what was said in An Apology. I think when someone edited after you and protected the page they took out the Star Wars: The Clone Wars 2 stuff since it's no longer there. The Behind the scenes now say Booba Fett was mentioned in An Apology, a short story by Timothy Zahn that was released on April 1, 2012 as an April Fool's Day joke. That Boba Fett had been cloned was established by the story, with Luuke Skywalker wondering if Thrawn had gotten to "Boooba Fett or Booooba Fett," and Booba Fett was mentioned by name in the An Apology material outside the tale. only other thing is the one sentence saying he was a clone of the original cloned by Thrawn. Hey, Naru. OK, pleasantries over. Let's get right to the point. You're a super prolific CA writer and I want to ask you some questions. I'm hoping to write a Wookieepedia NewsNet post some time this week on Comprehensive articles, similar to this one. Would I be able to ask you for your thoughts on the CA process? Two simple questions, with the answers to be worked into prose rather than bulleted. eg, '"Comprehensive articles are the KY jelly that holds Wookieepedia together," says NaruHina, noted collector of china dolls.'

Let me know! I could e-mail your or just ask the questions here. Menkooroo (talk) 18:36, August 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Hokay. So the two questions I have in mind are...
  1. You write a lot (and I mean a lot) of CAs. What attracts you to CA writing?
  2. Is there any challenge left to it? Or is it more something you do for fun?

Feel free to answer in as many or as few words as you'd like. Thanks again! Menkooroo (talk) 02:55, August 16, 2012 (UTC)

Granta Omega Correction

Granta Omega was not a Dark Jedi he was the son of Xanatos who was a Dark Jedi. Granta Omega had no Force sensitivity at all in fact he was the opposite he was a Force Void. He collected Sith Objects and wished to become a Sith. He could never achieve this but still began to seek the sith out. He committed terrible deeds to attract there attention to him so he could serve them. Which he eventually did for a very short period, but he never had Force powers of his own. Describing him as a Dark Jedi is just plain wrong. That should matter whoever the page specifically relates too.-- 01:40, September 4, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Naru maybe you can help me understand something. I understand that the earliest period of time the Millennium Falcon novel takes place in 60 BBY but the portions that Luke and Han are in take place in 43 ABY though so how does it work that in their appearances that it goes before everything else. If that is so why doesn't The Old Republic: Revan go first in Meetra's appearances since it starts in 3,954 BBY. Why doesn't X-Wing: Mercy Kill go earlier in Luke's since the first time period is 13 ABY. Why doesn't Crosscurrent go first in Jaden's since the first time period is 5000 BBY. I don't see why they don't fall under the same treatment that your giving the characters for the Millennium Falcon novel. Maybe you can shed some light on this and help me understand this. DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot.png (Long live Lord Revan) 14:07, September 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • The appearance is supposed to be listed chronologically under the first, non-flashback scene in the book, whatever that is. This is to keep Appearance sections from being like "well, the scene he appeared in was a flashback to 5 BBY, so it should be listed here in this article, but the part with the main characters and main plot is 43 ABY, so it should be at the bottom in that one." Unfortunately, because the novels are advertised like "the adventures of Han in 43 ABY" or "the adventures in Jaden in 43 ABY," that's where they usually end up. This is actually wrong and should be corrected. Even Millennium Falcon begins with a flashback(forward?) in which Han first sees the Millennium Falcon for the first time before cutting to the Falcon on its assembly line in 60 BBY and proceeding to 19 BBY after that. Whether or not it's a flashback should be clear in the context of the scene, like that beginning Millennium Falcon scene's being in italics. If Crosscurrent started with a scene with Jaden on Coruscant in 43 BBY and—not even as a flashback—had the scenes from 5,000 BBY where someone time travels, it would be listed as 43 ABY. It's just a case of where the main plot's framing device gets confused with its chronological beginning. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 14:23, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
    • Crosscurrents first non-flashback seen takes place in 5,000 BBY. The scene with Jaden in 43 ABY is after it in the same chapter. Many people disagree on how it should be listed in the appearances section. So since the first non-flashback seen takes place in 5,000 BBY it should be listed before his appearance in Jedi Academy then? Same with Surik since the first non-flashback scene or vision scene in Revan takes place in 3,954 BBY. DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot.png (Long live Lord Revan) 14:30, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
      • Yep. That's how it should be done. Every novel has a chronological niche where it rests in an Appearance section. It should be in the same place across all articles and that's how we determine it. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 14:34, September 17, 2012 (UTC)

Wording adjustment at the species/subspecies CT

Hey, MJ, just wanted to give you a heads up that I adjusted the wording slightly on Vote 2 of Forum:CT:Species and subspecies. I realized that there area few species for which we know of subspecies, but for which we don't know of a "baseline" version. To clarify that these species are not covered by that particular vote, I changed an example (from Horansi to Arkanian) and added this extra text:

  • NB: This vote only concerns species that have a "baseline" version, from which subspecies can be identified (e.g. Trandoshan and Arkanian). It does not cover species for which there is no "baseline" version (e.g., Horansi and Nikto). Those articles will continue to list all appearances and sources for the subspecies together.

In other words, if any of the separate Source/Appearance listing voting options wins, we won't apply it to species like the Nikto, for whom we don't have a baseline version. Sorry for altering thing like this, but I wanted to make sure you about the change since you've already voted. Cheers, ~SavageBOB sig.png 11:21, October 3, 2012 (UTC)

Sith Emperor

Yes greetings. I am new to this wiki and I recently registered. Im a bit impatient and their is a critical edit I need to make to the Sith Emperor's page. My account is brand new but I don't want to wait, lest I forget. In Star Wars: The Old Republic Encyclopedia, Vitiate is referred to in a box talking about fighting a Ludo Kressh descendant as Darth Vitiate. While only a brief mention, it is official and should be mentioned on his page like the treatment Naga Sadow got when Darthitized in The Essential Guide to Warfare. Could you please change it, so the first line of his page reads "The Sith Emperor, also known as Darth Vitiate, was a Dark Lord of the Sith who reconstituted....". Thanks!Onionmonkey (talk) 00:46, October 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • This should be addressed to me, as I am the author of the Sith Emperor article. It does not necessarily mean that he received the title of Darth, as the Encyclopedia has several other errors, but I will be adding it to the Behind the scenes section. Just asking about how that question I asked on the talk page for Expanded Universe was a personal question. I was under the impression that it had to do with the article. Matt Seay (talk) 03:30, December 2, 2012 (UTC)

  • I didn't say it was a personal question, it was just general. It was not about changes to the article, it was wondering about the article's subject and how Lucas feels about it. The answer will not impact the article at all since the fact of it is well documented, regardless of if one of us can point to the exact quote off the top of our heads. Take it to the Knowledge Bank and see if someone can. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 03:35, December 2, 2012 (UTC)

The reason I asked it was I could not remember if that fact was stated in the article or not. I will read the article and see. I assume you ship NaruHina?

Hey there,

I've been on this wiki for years, as have you, and would see your username in Recent Wiki Activity. Never really thought much about it, as there are tons of active users and everyone has different usernames for many different reasons.

Around Thanksgiving 2012, I was listening to a song on YouTube, and saw, a video of the same song with Sasuke Uchiha in the Suggestions. I was like, "Sasuke...from Naruto...I used to like that thing!" I knew that all major manga is online, so I found a site, started catching up (on nearly 500 chapters!), and was not seen for two weeks. Believe it!

So now I'm firmly entrenched in Naruto fandom. And know what your username stands for! Although personally, I like NaruSasu more. And everyone knows that the relationship of Kakashi and Gai completely crushes all others. YOUTH POWER!WIERDGREENMAN (talk) 01:52, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

  • I picked my username when I was thirteen, since I first made edits to the Naruto wiki. I am now 18, and am not interested the slightest bit in Naruto. The only reasons I haven't changed my name are because everyone would continue calling me "Naru" anyway and the myriad of links to "NaruHina" around here built up over four years would be damn confusing. That's all I have to say about that. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 02:20, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
    • At the risk of sounding like a complete idiot, what does the Hina part of your username stand for? I know from WIERDGREENMAN's post that it had something to do with Naruto, but I'm not sure which one, and before I even found out from that post, I actually thought (and feared) that it had something to do with Love Hina. As you can probably tell, I'm not too familiar with Naruto. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 02:42, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

James S. A. Corey split?

Hey Naru I'm dropping by to figure out why you marked a page I created to be split. The naming policy under real-world people says "Always list main author articles under the chosen, publishing name of the author, be it their real name or a pseudonym. The same rule applies for all real-world actors, artists, crew members, and other people credited for their Star Wars work (for example: Billy Dee Williams instead of William December Williams). Initials in people's names should be written with full stops (periods) after them, with a space between the initials and the name, and between initials (for example: R. A. Salvatore, A. L. Singer). Whenever possible, use people's credited names instead of initials." Seeing how the article meets the rules I am asking why you marked it to be split into the authors only. DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot.png (Long live Lord Revan) 03:51, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

  • Prolly should have done it on the talk page, but that's fine. It's because the name is shared by two people, and we're not going to have two biographies on that one page. One subject, one article. That you redlinked the two authors implies the intention to have articles on the pair individually, and if that's the case then we're on the same page. James S. A. Corey needs to be a disambiguation between them, the article on the Han Solo novel needs to note that it is a pseudonym and what it means anyway, and I put the split tag on there to dissuade anyone who got it into their heads that because only one name is on the book, we don't need articles on the two people behind the name. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 03:59, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
    • I have removed the redlinks a little while ago. I agree that we shouldn't have two biographies on one page. However the name on the book is the penname and not theirs individual names. As how the naming policy says list the author articles under their publishing name or pseudonym, which in this case is a pseudonym, we should keep the penname, I originally thought of creating the author pages but though better of it after seeing the policy. DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot.png (Long live Lord Revan) 04:07, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
    • If you wish to change that part of the policy you can always start a CT. DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot.png (Long live Lord Revan) 04:15, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
      • Honestly, this is a case of common sense. There should be two articles, one for each author, with the current being a disambig to the two. MasterFredCommerce Guild.svg(Whatever) 04:28, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
      • In response. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 04:33, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
        • In that case I think I'll create a CT to see what the rest of the community says since the policy says to do the opposite of what you two say. I'd like to hear where the rest of the community stand on this. DarthRevan1173 Revan Headshot.png (Long live Lord Revan) 04:50, February 19, 2013 (UTC)

Hey, Naru, you do realize that Level 1312 and Level 1315 are still canon? I don't know if that changes anything, but the idea of over a thousand levels isn't just thrown out the window with 1313. Cade StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg Calrayn 03:28, April 4, 2013 (UTC)

NaruHina why are you leaving Wookieepedia? I think you are a great user! I guess what I mean to say is, You're Awesome and you should stay! Would you mind leaving a reply on my talk page?Wolf ScreechFile:Vibroblade negwt.jpg(That's a knife!) 17:08, April 18, 2013 (UTC)

Italics vs. Quotes

Hello NaruHina! I saw your changes on the SW Insider 142 page. I created its articles' pages and italicized their titles because it is what has been done for most of the previous Insider articles. I edited the pages of several Insider issues (from #131 to #142), and every article title there was already written in italics, so I stuck to it. There's no rule about this on Wookieepedia, as no one seems to agree on the "italics vs. quotes" issue. I know that Wikipedia never uses italics for the article titles, but it's not the case here. We could use quotation marks or italics or both, like the InsiderCite template does. In the meantime, I reverted your changes in order to keep some style consistency between the different Insider pages (annoying flaw of being a perfectionist). If we make any change to the latest Insider's page, we have to do the same thing to the others. I've been working a lot on the Insider articles lately, but I stopped for now as I wish to hear from you first. Regards.--LennyF (talk) 18:05, June 28, 2013 (UTC)

  • Thank you for your answer and the links you posted, NaruHina. It was very instructive. I agree with you that it would be more logical to follow these rules here as well (which are pretty much the same in French, my mother tongue). So, I'm on the fence here. I noticed that some editors added quotes to the italicized titles, like the InsiderCite template does, so I think we should do that for the sake of consistency on this wiki, even if I can't help myself thinking that it's kind of redundant. I guess it's a little compromise until a final decision is made here on the matter. I will take care of that later today. Feel free to tell me what you think about it. Anyway, I'll make sure to keep all of that in mind. Regards.--LennyF (talk) 14:02, June 29, 2013 (UTC)

Naru, while I appreciate your concern, please know that your {{Delete}} tag in Morrt's workbench has been removed. Simply redirecting the page to his main userpage will suffice until he returns (whenever that is). No one, but Morrt, could decide what to do with his inactive userpages. Thanks, JangFett (Talk) 13:11, July 1, 2013 (UTC)

  • Also, if you're back, I would like to see that {{User_left}} tag removed from your userpage. At the moment, you're currently not away indefinitely, judging by your contributions as of late. JangFett (Talk) 13:13, July 1, 2013 (UTC)
    • Whatever you think is best. *shrug* Redirects are cheap. As for the user left tag, I'm not removing it. As I clarified it, I'm only visiting often right now because I'm engaged in discussions. I'll leave again when they're done. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 20:07, July 1, 2013 (UTC)
      • I will be monitoring your contributions then. If your activity level continues to be rather high in two weeks, it will be removed. There is no need to use that template if you're planning on returning. Thank you, JangFett (Talk) 20:52, July 1, 2013 (UTC)
        • I think not. There will never be a reason for you to remove it, because it is not any of your business that it is there. It is no more your concern than is any other message anyone else has on their user page that isn't defamatory towards anybody. The message, edited as I want it to read, will stay and that's my last word about my personal page. I trust that you won't be giving my contributions any attention that you wouldn't give to anyone else. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 01:02, July 2, 2013 (UTC)
          • You're missing my point. Since you will end up coming back anyway, perhaps {{Vacation}} will be better. Read the subtext. It's better than taking a template, changing its text, in order to suit your needs. Really, that's not what the User_left template is about, Naru. JangFett (Talk) 01:18, July 2, 2013 (UTC)
            • I'm not missing your point, that you think it should be changed because you're assuming that I will definitely back whenever I leave. You have no grounds for assuming so. I don't feel that {{Vacation}} would accurately describe my situation. I happened to check my watchlist one day and edited where necessary, came upon a place where I felt comment would be beneficial. There is nothing wrong with taking a template and changing it, and I'm really not concerned with how you decide to interpret it when I've made my meaning as clear as I can. Suppose it were a random picture I found on the site, the notice were a different color, and the title text were changed. We wouldn't be having this pointless conversation and nothing substantive would be different about the notice. As it is, I don't want to do that because I would like the times I am not around to be treated as there being no guarantee I'd ever edit again. There isn't. I've altered the template, and I'll not alter it further. Leave well enough alone. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 01:58, July 2, 2013 (UTC)
              • No, we wouldn't be having this discussion if you were properly adhering to the User_left template. JangFett (Talk) 02:18, July 2, 2013 (UTC)
                • "Adhering" implies wrongfully that having it is some kind of covenant. It never has been. It is by its nature voluntary, and it's entirely within the power of anyone with the standard template on their page to edit again if they feel like it. How much or how little is none of your business. Moreover—once again—I altered the template as an expository courtesy to explain why I may edit under my username later. I've told you what's going to happen on my user page. If I don't see Wookieepedia after 12 months have passed in a row, then you can do as you like. Until then, there's nothing inappropriate going on with my page's contents and at this point I would say that you're hounding me inappropriately, not to mention unnecessarily. This conversation is one of the reasons I'm checking the Wook frequently today, since I don't want you to have to wait long because you're keen on responding quickly, and you continuing it without any grounds is only leaving me with one more thing to finish before I go again. And this time I absolutely intend this to be the end of it, whatever rejoinder you may choose to give after this. Bye, Jang, and have a nice day~ NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 02:42, July 2, 2013 (UTC)

Booba Fett GAN

Hey Naru. Please note that the objection to the Booba Fett GAN will reach two weeks' worth of inactivity in a few days. If you want to keep the nomination moving forward, please make sure to address it. CC7567 (talk) 23:54, September 20, 2013 (UTC)

"So—are you still worried about being sent to the Agricultural Corps?"
Booba Fett has been approved by the AgriCorps and awarded Good status. Feel free to add the {{User GA}} template to your userpage to acknowledge your hard work. The AgriCorps thanks you for your efforts, and looks forward to future nominations from you! — Sir Cavalier of OneFarStar.svg(Squadron channel) 21:19, September 21, 2013 (UTC)

You are looking at the wrong section, Naru. You meet the productivity requirement, but not the additional provision requirement, which I linked to. Thank you for your cooperation, JangFett (Talk) 20:03, April 5, 2014 (UTC)

  • "Any user who has placed {{User left}} on their user page, or who has in some other way made it clear that they have departed the wiki, must re-earn the right to vote." I do not need a right to vote in decisions to vote on the QOTD. People can create accounts and have their first edit to Wookieepedia be to WP:QOTD or Mister/Miss Star Wars. You're wrong. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 20:15, April 5, 2014 (UTC)
    • From what I'm interpreting, Jang is actually correct. QOTD is listed under "votes affected", and therefore you would need 50 edits to vote. Therefore QOTD falls under the coverage of the additional provisions. 1358 (Talk) 20:23, April 5, 2014 (UTC)
      • Thanks for pointing that conflict out. I have created a Noticeboard post about this, and all replies can be sent there. I will update it with this information. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo.png 20:25, April 5, 2014 (UTC)

Hi, just a reminder that every single comment needs to adhere to the No personal attacks policy. I understand the topic, but be civil while presenting your comments. Also, the voting eligibility policy requires 50 edits within 6 months prior to the start of the CT. Currently, you're not elegible for voting in this CT for which I have stricken the vote. Given the topic, this is coming from an Admin in the Support side to show an unbias towards the removal of the vote.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 07:12, 29 March 2021 (UTC)
