Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source.

Re: Em dash Edit

Yes, they are, but we use HTML coding here. Please read WP:DASH (and the rest of our policies while you're at it). CC7567 (talk) 22:35, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

  • Also, please do not delete any talk page messages, as they are part of the public record. You are welcome to archive them on a subpage if you wish. CC7567 (talk) 22:38, December 18, 2009 (UTC)
    • The symbols are almost always used here to take advantage of HTML coding. And yes, bot messages are actual messages, though they do not come often. The welcome message in particular is a good referral to everything you need to begin contributing, which is why it needs to be kept on hand. CC7567 (talk) 23:32, December 18, 2009 (UTC)

Image punctuation Edit

I notice you added punctuation to an image caption on the Palpatine article. It was decided by the consensus earlier this year that punctuation was to be placed on an image caption only if the caption is a complete sentence. Hope that helps ya with future edits. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 21:57, December 21, 2009 (UTC)

  • Ah, thanks for letting me know. I did ponder this, but noticed that some other incomplete-sentence image descriptions had punctuations. I'll edit with this in mind now. -NistraTalk 22:03, December 21, 2009 (UTC)
    • Yeah, the majority of captions had punctuation prior the the CT being decided. As you come across them in your editing, feel free to remove any periods off incomplete sentence captions (which is 99.9% of them) and if all you do in an edit is remove the punctuation, you can put something like "removed punctuation from caption per CT" or something like that. :) - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 00:37, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
      • Yes, I'll keep a look out for them. -NistraTalk 08:46, December 22, 2009 (UTC)
