Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source.

Do not remove talk page and forum comments, including your own, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~.

For an optimal viewing experience, Wookieepedia recommends using the Monobook skin. For help changing your skin preference, see Help:Skin.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —Omicron(Leave a message at the BEEP!) 21:29, April 17, 2017 (UTC)

Redlinks[edit source]

Hello. Please don't remove redlinks from articles. They are there so that articles can eventually be created for them. Thanks. Imperators II(Talk) 12:24, November 22, 2017 (UTC)

Your signature[edit source]

Hi, Retro Reed, your signature is currently in violation of our signature policy. It must not only link to your user page, it must also include the date. If you're having trouble inserting your signature in talk pages, please use the four tilde as seen here: ~~~~. Thank you, JangFett (Talk) 14:43, January 20, 2018 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm sorry, but I don't know how to do it/that. Can you tell/teach/help me, please? Thank you. We're done here. --User:Retro Reed 11:00, May 23, 2018 (UTC)

Talk pages[edit source]

Hello, please keep conversations on article talk pages relative to the article in terms of questions and editing. For discussions, I recommend Discussions or IRC, thanks--Vitus InfinitusTalk 15:29, April 18, 2018 (UTC)

Okay, I'm sorry, but it's just a habit because I add comments about characters and other things on the Disney Wiki (which I edit on more than any other wiki). Oh and by the way, if I ever have questions about editing, I only post them on administrators' or content moderators' walls. Unsigned comment by Retro Reed (talk • contribs).

  • Again, please refrain from adding general discussions to talk pages. Also, please sign your comments with ~~~~, thank you--Vitus InfinitusTalk 14:53, April 20, 2018 (UTC)
    • Okay, I'm sorry. I do sign my comments with my name like this: --~~Retro Reed~~
      • If age doesn't matter why say that you're two years older? I understand where you're coming from, and sorry if I come off a bit blunt, but we try to follow policies as good as we can here. It's alright if you make mistakes, you won't get in trouble for making when you're a newer user. I still make some mistakes and I've been here for some time now. I'm only trying to give advice. As for signatures, it's only ~~~~ nothing in between. Using ~~~~ time stamps your comment and leaves a link to your talk page, and is useful for archiving discussions. There's a button at the top that shows cursive writing. Click on that and it automatically adds the ~~~~. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions!--Vitus InfinitusTalk 15:55, April 21, 2018 (UTC)
        • You do it by typing ~~~~ on your keyboard. Four of these: ~ Hope this helps--Vitus InfinitusTalk 17:23, April 21, 2018 (UTC)
          • That is very odd. I suggest contacting FANDOM. You can contact them here.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 17:27, April 21, 2018 (UTC)
            • You should contact FANDOM about it or an administrator, because policy requires users to sign their comments and I don't want to see you in trouble accidentally. Also, don't remove content from your talk page, it's part of public record, thanks--Vitus InfinitusTalk 17:51, April 21, 2018 (UTC)

Yes, I finally fixed it! --User:Retro Reed 21:29, May 21, 2018 (UTC)

Finn[edit source]

Hello, I'm not really sure we can say Finn is an owner of the Skywalker lightsaber, he only really uses it briefly and not sure that qualifies as being an owner compared with the others listed --Lewisr (talk) 01:22, June 1, 2018 (UTC)

Hello, uh, yes, he does use it briefly, but I'm just used to it being there, it's a habit. Reminds me of the poster and LEGOs. Rey has three weapons, while he has only one? --Retro Reed 20:20, June 1, 2018 (UTC)

Warning: Uploading[edit source]

While all good-faith contributions to Wookieepedia are appreciated, we ask that you please refer to Wookieepedia:Images, which can be found under the "other policies and guidelines" link in your welcome message, and familiarize yourself with the sourcing and licensing requirements before uploading any more images. The only uploading method supported by Wookieepedia, Special:Upload, will prompt you to enter this information. Wikia's non-standard upload forms are not supported under Wookieepedia policy, and ignorance of the uploading rules is not an acceptable excuse. Continued violation of the image policy or falsification of any information in an upload description are considered vandalism and will likely result in a block. Thank you. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 18:31, September 21, 2018 (UTC)

Let me guess, did you message me this because I picture I uploaded has a gibberish title and I need to rename it? --Retro Reed (talk) 18:40, September 21, 2018 (UTC)
Is that true or false? --Retro Reed (talk) 17:17, September 24, 2018 (UTC)
Hey Retro Reed. It looks like the image was deleted because it was unsourced. Images uploaded to the wiki are required to use the {{Information}} template to provide sourcing and licensing information. The how-to for that is in the image policy that Tope linked to. If you have any questions about how to use it, feel free to let me know! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 17:45, September 24, 2018 (UTC)

I've uploaded images on other wikis before (i.e. Disney), but not this one. I was trying to take a screen shot of the Thidaxx from the C-3PO comic. --Retro Reed (talk) 17:48, September 24, 2018 (UTC)

All good! Some wikis, like this one, have rules about sourcing. Others don't. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 17:51, September 24, 2018 (UTC)

Does that mean Thidaxx will never have a picture? --Retro Reed (talk) 17:52, September 24, 2018 (UTC)

If the picture was for Thidaxx, you can re-upload it at Special:Upload as long as you provide the source and licensing information. A clear image name would be helpful as well! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 17:57, September 24, 2018 (UTC)

Thidaxx[edit source]

Hey I took the liberty of filling in the missing fields for the image you uploaded of Thidaxx ([1]) -- that should help give you an idea of what image upload should look like.

I seriously wouldn't sweat it too much if you make some mistakes. It takes awhile to really get the hang of things (I'm DEFINITELY still learning myself). I recommend double checking the various manual of style pages, cross referencing your work with existing articles before posting, especially stuff from Featured/Good/Comprehensive articles and asking for help if you need it. The admins (+other users!) on here are always willing to lend a hand.

Anyways best luck editing! Toqgers (talk) 17:54, September 28, 2018 (UTC)

Messages[edit source]

Sorry, I missed those 2 messages because I was off here for 3 months, I see that you added the info about Luke's X-wing on Ahch-To. If you haven't already added it on the other pages you mentioned then feel free to add it --Lewisr (talk) 22:28, November 27, 2018 (UTC)

  • That's okay, no worries. Thank you. Although, ever since I posted those messages in the talk pages, not only was I looking for answers, I was also looking for help, too. Ahch-To was easy for me because a lot of information was already there. --Retro Reed (talk) 22:47, November 27, 2018 (UTC)
    • What help are you looking for? --Lewisr (talk) 22:50, November 27, 2018 (UTC)
      • With adding the information. --Retro Reed (talk) 22:55, November 27, 2018 (UTC)
        • All you would need to do is write what you're wanting to write then add the reference to source your additions. Do what you can and I'll fix anything that might need fixing --Lewisr (talk) 22:59, November 27, 2018 (UTC)

The Fate of the Lightsabers shown in a flashback[edit source]

At this point we don't know what happened to their lightsabers, its best to not say they were destroyed because they could reappear somewhere or we could be told what happened to them. Its hinted Luke's green one was taken by the caretakers after he died but its never outright said to be his lightsaber so for now we have to wait for a source to say it was --Lewisr (talk) 17:38, December 4, 2018 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I used to think that he brought it with him to Ahch-To, but not anymore because of what happened at the destruction of his Jedi Temple and of the Knights of Ren, but not anymore because of how he purposely crash-landed his X-Wing in a shallow inlet and cut himself from the Force. This is something I had always been wondering ever since, and one of my favorite things (and his father's lightsaber too) about Luke Skywalker himself. Wait a minute, where is that hinted? --Retro Reed (talk) 17:43, December 4, 2018 (UTC)
    • We will have to wait and see. Its hinted at in the novel at the end when they take his things including his 'weapon' and compass. His weapon could be anything, possibly his lightsaber but nothing else has said it yet so we can't add it --Lewisr (talk) 17:51, December 4, 2018 (UTC)

Well, yes, we'll see about that. --Retro Reed (talk) 02:09, December 5, 2018 (UTC)

Luke Skywalker Force Spirit[edit source]

I do remember that yes! Chances are very likely that Luke is returning as a Force spirit, but until we've got proof of it we can't add it --Lewisr (talk) 15:08, December 6, 2018 (UTC)

  • Okay, sounds good. Thank you. --Retro Reed (talk) 17:15, December 6, 2018 (UTC)
    • No worries! --Lewisr (talk) 17:16, December 6, 2018 (UTC)

The Door to Luke's Hut[edit source]

I'm not too sure its necessary to add on each of the pages, but I added it on Luke's page, maybe it could go on the T-65B X-wing starfighter page but that's all that's necessary to be honest. Unless you want to add it yourself on the others --Lewisr (talk) 17:31, December 6, 2018 (UTC)

  • Okay, but to agree with you, I think yes, it's good for T-65B X-wing starfighter and Luke's hut, which doesn't have a picture. Sorry if I'm making you do something for nothing --Retro Reed (talk) 17:35, December 6, 2018 (UTC)
    • Yes definietly on Luke's hut, completely missed that page sorry. Yeah I noticed, I'll see if I can find something to go there! No worries, its fine, always happy to help --Lewisr (talk) 17:46, December 6, 2018 (UTC)

Skywalker's lightsaber[edit source]

I replied to your message, but it would be best to put something about it in the behind the scenes --Lewisr (talk) 23:10, December 9, 2018 (UTC)

Talk pages[edit source]

I can't really answer what you're saying on Original unaltered trilogy because I don't know what the 1995 VHS and Laserdisc is, if you think it should be mentioned on the page then just go ahead and do it --Lewisr (talk) 19:03, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

  • Well, I own both copies of the 1995 VHS and 2006 DVD releases (both pre-owned, but flawless. Even though many fans say the 2006 DVD release was poorly mastered (with something from the 1993 laserdiscs), I just think that should be compared to every VHS and Laserdisc copy of the original theatrical versions of the Star Wars Trilogy. What I think they mean is the picture quality is brighter than before. FYI, 1995 was when the Original Star Wars Trilogy was finally released before getting remastered: "One Last Time". Thank you. --Retro Reed (talk) 19:19, January 15, 2019 (UTC)
    • Okay well do what you think works best, I'm not sure what more I could add on this because you seem to know more about it than me --Lewisr (talk) 19:24, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

Wait a minute, you know what? It's not just my comment, there's an unsigned comment from an unknown user too. --Retro Reed (talk) 19:28, January 15, 2019 (UTC)

Han and Luke's lightsaber[edit source]

Well not necessarily, the page already says Han used it so it wouldn't make people think he hadn't seen it before! Also maybe he was remembering that it was the lightsaber that Luke lost on Cloud City to Vader? Let's not just assume things and wait for sources to say that's what he was thinking at that time --Lewisr (talk) 17:22, January 17, 2019 (UTC)

Okay, well, I'm sorry, my friend. --Retro Reed (talk) 17:24, January 17, 2019 (UTC)

  • No its fine, don't apologise, I see why you might think that but its best to wait until something says it --Lewisr (talk) 17:27, January 17, 2019 (UTC)
    • Thank you, my friend. --Retro Reed (talk) 17:28, January 17, 2019 (UTC)

Redirect Admiral[edit source]

On Wookieepedia policy for names, We don't change it to "Admiral Ackbar" we just keep his full on birth name. May The Force Be With You! Supreme Commander Raxus (talk) 18:00, March 22, 2019 (UTC)User:SupremeCommanderRaxus

  • No, I didn't mean change the name, to "Admiral Ackbar", I meant keep it "Gial Ackbar", since that's his real full birth name, but just redirect it as "Admiral Ackbar", that's all?\. Do you understand? May The Force Be With You! --Retro Reed (talk) 18:04, March 22, 2019 (UTC)
  • Yeah, you can do that when editing pages... Supreme Commander Raxus (talk) 18:08, March 22, 2019 (UTC)User:SupremeCommanderRaxus
  • But how? The thing is, I know several Star Wars characters that are known with their occupation in front of their name(s), but they have to exclude that in their article titles on Wookiepedia, leaving it to their either their real full birth name(s) or if they're single named. Here are some examples of redirects I know of:
  • Leia Organa: Princess Leia
  • Darth Sidious: Sidious; Palpatine; Emperor Palpatine; Sheev Palpatine
  • Dooku: Count Dooku; Darth Tyrannus
  • Grievous: General Grievous
  • Kylo Ren: Ben Solo
  • Snoke: Supreme Leader Snoke
  • Phasma: Captain Phasma

--Retro Reed (talk) 18:18, March 22, 2019 (UTC)

  • What you do is, you type it out, use the source tool, and type in the real in in the search box of the tool. Supreme Commander Raxus (talk) 18:20, March 22, 2019 (UTC)User:SupremeCommanderRaxus
  • What you're describing to me is something different, but similar. Yes, I know like if and when I highlight something, click the link button and it turns red, meaning that the page doesn't exist, I type in the real name to make it blue, or I could just put a | between the fake and real name; example: Admiral Ackbar. But, my idea is that if "Admiral Ackbar" is either highlighted within an article or typed in the search bar of this Wiki, it shows up as "Gial Ackbar", because that's the redirect. Make sense? You know what? When I type Admiral Ackbar in the search bar, the only option/result is a starship, which is a Legends article. --Retro Reed (talk) 18:45, March 22, 2019 (UTC)
