Shocho[edit source]

Hiya! I'm Chuck Kallenbach, formerly a playtester and later game designer for Decipher Inc., makers of several Star Wars collectible card games. Now I work for Sony Online Entertainment and contribute to the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game and our Clone Wars Adventures card game.

Re: Chyler edit[edit source]

Hey Shocho. I'm sorry about the confusion since we like to have trivia included in our articles. The reason I reverted the edit was that the statement was unsourced and that is not allowed in our Featured articles. However, a source has been found for that statement, so I will be adding it back in. Cylka-talk- 02:55, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi Shocho, with the conclusion of Star Wars Galaxies, do you happen to know if there was ever a comprehensive document similar to the Star Wars Galaxies Memory Book that compiled the artwork and text information from the various cards released online as part of the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game? It seems a shame that unique canon information released as part of this endeavour is no longer available. Rokkur Shen (talk) 12:42, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

Nope sorry, no such doc for the TCG. I could get together some docs for the scenarios and lore text, but they'd be rough. I'll check with my boss. Who would I send that to? 15:39, February 13, 2013 (UTC)

That'd be fantastic! I've really enjoyed the tidbits of information you've added to some of the pages over the past couple of years. You can email me using the form at Special:EmailUser/Rokkur Shen. I'd prefer not to post my email publicly here on the site. Hope that's understandable. If you are able to include your email address in the body of the email (using the above mentioned form), I should be able to respond to you directly using my own email, which will allow you to send attachments my way. Thank you so much. Rokkur Shen (talk) 01:42, February 14, 2013 (UTC)

Wellll, sorry about that. I talked to my boss and this is a no-go. If you have any questions, I'll try to remember. I wrote the lore, story, and created the characters... but I don't know if I can remember everything.

That's completely understandable. I really appreciate your speedy reply however. The artwork and lore was some of the best I've seen in recent years, across the board. At this point in time I guess it's pretty much safe to say that we've seen the last of this material with no chance of it being resurrected/released in another form?
The main reason for my initial query was that due to the current unavailability of the material (lore in particular), it is sometimes hard to sufficiently pay homage to the original source material by including it in our articles to a greater degree. As you are probably aware, the wook has strict citation rules and as we can no longer view the source material it poses some issues with adequately referencing material related to the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game. Unfortunately the occasional unverifiable/misattributed piece of information creeps in to our articles which may detract from the high quality work yourself and the game designers originally produced. An unfortunate byproduct of online exclusive material and its associated lifespan/longevity I guess. Anyway...
Other than that, I don't have anything else specific for you this very minute but I'm pleased to hear that you're willing to accept questions. I'll continue to take note of anything that piques my interest, as I continue to edit and look forward to talking to you in the near future. Thanks for your time. Decipher Anagrams[edit source]

Hi Shocho, thanks for reaching out! Great to have confirmation of the name origins, but our attribution policy doesn't allow us to reference things to talk pages. However, we'd love to be able to have this information for our articles, so if you can post it to somewhere offsite where we can reference it that would be amazing. Are you by any chance @chuckkallenbach on Twitter? If so then that would be a great place to post these great anecdotes which we could then reference. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help or if you've got any questions. Ayrehead02 (talk) 20:11, May 10, 2020 (UTC)
