GR-75 medium transport Edit

I saw that you added the LEGO games into the GR-75 medium transport's apps list. Would you be able to tell me if the Bright Hope, the last transport that leaves Echo Base in ESB, makes any sort of appearance in the game? Even an indirect mention? Toprawa and Ralltiir 00:20, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

  • The mission 'Falcon Flight' does start the third paragraph of its opening crawl with, "And as the last Rebel transports lift off from the planet,..." The mission then starts with the Falcon freeing four medium transports and two Nebulon-B escorts frigates from Star Destroyers. The first could be seen as a very indirect reference to the Bright Hope, and the battle seems to have been made just for the games. TheAinMAP 01:42, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
    • Yeah, I think those are no go. Star Wars: Rogue Squadron makes a similar very indirect mention that I decided to omit, as I will with this case. And the latter does not seem to be relevant. Thanks, though. Toprawa and Ralltiir 01:45, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
      • That reminds me. The Bright Hope does make an appearance in Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike in a movie clip. TheAinMAP 01:54, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
        • Gah, I hate video games. May I ask how you know it is the Bright Hope, and is there any other information that goes along with it that should be added? Toprawa and Ralltiir 02:05, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
          • The game shows a scene from Episode V where we can hear Wedge telling Luke that he will see him at the rendezvous. The game then places you as Luke in an X-wing above Hoth. There are three transpors infront of you and General Rieekan tells you, "We're the last of the transports..." The first is definatly the Bright Hope. I don't know if it's ment to be one of the three. TheAinMAP 22:00, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
            • Do all three of those transports escape intact, I wonder? Toprawa and Ralltiir 22:32, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

It depends on how good you are at shooting down TIEs. The transports are referred to as Transport 1, Transport 2, and Transport 3. Only one needs to survive for you to pass the level, but no matter which one survives, Rieekan lives. TheAinMAP 23:07, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

    • Well, for my purposes, I think the actual playable part is irrelevant, since it does not explicitly state the Bright Hope is one of those. But, the ESB clip of it lifting off is in the game, you say? Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:15, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
      • Yes. TheAinMAP 23:17, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
        • Thank you. Your help is most appreciated. Toprawa and Ralltiir 23:19, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
          • You're welcome. TheAinMAP 23:23, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Adding appearances Edit

I've noticed that you're just haphazzardly inserting appearances into lists. Please be aware that it is proper to add appearances by in-universe timeline, not throwing them on at the end. Thanks. Toprawa and Ralltiir 01:20, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

  • I haven't just been adding appearances at the end of lists. In last edit I made, I added the appearances at the end the of the list because they ran concurrent or after those that were already there. TheAinMAP 01:32, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
    • In the case of Zev Senesca LEGO appearances, for ex, you should add these appearances in regard to the game's timeline as a whole, not necessarily where Zev appears in the game. Toprawa and Ralltiir 01:37, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

The Clone Wars game Edit

Thanks for helping out with all you did at the Star Wars: The Clone Wars video game article thus far. I really appreciate the additions you've made to the Appearances section; all the less for me! ;) Pretty soon, we'll be able to take down that expand tag. // ~mikah~ 23:07, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

  • You're welcome. But I don't know of Barcazon. I can't remember hearing it in the game. TheAinMAP 23:17, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
    • It's one of the multiplayer stages (under "Control Zone," I think, but I'm not entirely sure), hence why it's marked non-canon. // ~mikah~ 23:39, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

By the way, what do you think of a possible revival (that is, assuming it was ever used in the first place) of the New continuity sub-sections? They wouldn't be used on large articles like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic where basically the whole game is nothing but new continuity, but instead articles about the size of The Clone Wars game's and see where it goes from there. It wouldn't be much more difficult than what we're doing now; all we'd have to do is add the new sub-sections and move new introductions down some. // ~mikah~ 19:47, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

  • Well, I don't know if there ever were new continunity sub-sections, but they'll probably won't be necessary due to the Template:1st. TheAinMAP 22:56, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
    • I see. Thanks for your reply. :) // ~mikah~ 23:12, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Warning Edit

The general Wookieepedia policy is to italize appearances under Appearances section. Please do not try to de-italize them like you did on the Phase I clone trooper armor (and possibly other articles). Mauser 19:26, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Could you please provide a link to this policy, sir? TheAinMAP 12:03, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
    • Just look at any article with a number of appearances. They are always italized. Mauser 18:12, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
      • A rule for writing the titles of works such as movies and novels is that they are to be written in italics, or when that is not possible, to underline them. Other works, such as short stories, are to placed in quotation marks at all times. TheAinMAP 21:20, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
        • And where, might I aks, did you get it? Movies and novels titles are always italized, never underlined, and all appearances are to be italized, whether they be short stories, novels, comics or else. Mauser 22:37, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
          • I'm speaking in the sense of proper grammar. When a writing a book title on paper, a person would underline it. Since you could not provide an official policy on how to write appearances, I resorted to older rules. TheAinMAP 23:41, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
            • The examples in the Layout Guide are italized for a reson, you know. We are not underlining book titles here and we are italizing all appearances: books, comics, games, short stories. Open today's Featured Article for an example of how appearances section should be organized and stop this pointless dispute. Next time you replace italization with quotation marks, you'll get something else than a warning. Mauser 07:23, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
              • The reason the Layout Guide examples are all in italics is that they are movies, novels, a comic series, and a video game. I never said we should underline titles here, I just mentioned that it is something that is done. And in the appearances section of today's featured article, there is indeed a short story listed in quotation marks. TheAinMAP 14:47, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
                • Because it is included via the template, that's why it's in quotation marks - templates are examples, not short stories. Look, I deliberately asked an admin about this case and I got a clear reply saying that "those should be italicized" because "it's kind of an understood guideline", so I don't even know why I have to explain it to you. Next time you replace italization with quotation marks, I'm marking it as vandalizm and sending a request to an admin, period. Mauser 15:10, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
  • This warning which Mauser was trying to make is official now. Wookieepedia, despite our stated intention of upholding American English standards, varies in a few ways, much like the lack of underlining mentioned above. No offense to the vaunted books on "Good Writing" you mention on Toprawa and Ralltiir's talk page, but when was the last time you read a nonfiction book that cited other books? They never underline anymore. English is changing, especially in the last eight years. Furthermore, there is a long-standing precedent of italicizing article titles on the site. Precedent of this magnitude is consensus, and as consensus trumps whatever books you'd like to quote, if you're going to continue violating consensus to push your agenda, you will indeed be blocked. Graestan(Talk) 02:14, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
    • The only reason we don't see underlining anymore is because we don't see typewriters anymore; the rule has always been italicize where possible, and now it's possible for everyone. Anyway, since there has been some disagreement on the italics/quotation marks thing, I've started a Consensus Track thread, Forum:CT:Italicizing article and short story titles, to sort it out. jSarek 20:21, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
      • In any case, I never said we should underline titles on this encyclopedia. I mearly mentioned it in an example. Thank you Mr. jSarek for the Consensus Track. TheAinMAP 23:24, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Skorr Edit

Just wanted to confirm that Skorr's definitely mentioned directly in the Junior Novelisation. As in, by name? If so, I intend to note it in the article. -- AdmirableAckbar (Talk) 23:05, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Yes, he is named. It's just after the introduction of Boba Fett.
"But several weeks earlier, Fett had made a mistake: Another assignment had left him temporarily unable to follow a tip on Solo's whereabouts, so he'd subcontracted Dengar, Bossk, and another bounty hunter named Skorr to search for Solo. The hunters not only found and captured Solo, but delivered him to the planet Ord Mantell, where Fett had arranged to meet them. But shortly after Boba Fett arrived on Ord Mantell, Skorr was dead - and Han Solo was gone."

Re: Mission to the Thicket Edit

Those droids really cannot be anything except supers. As for the other aspects, I've been able to verify them and will integrate them into the article. Thank you for your assistance. CC7567 (talk) 23:57, September 26, 2009 (UTC)

Yes, they were both released on July 26, 2008. JangFett (Talk) 01:40, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

Jedi Starfighter "reverts" Edit

Hello there. I noticed you have made some changes to some of the articles from Jedi Starfighter. I had edited the articles to follow the manual of style, which specifies prelude, battle and aftermath sections. I was just curious as to why you went back and made the changes, as Raid on the Solleu River, for instance, cannot be nominated for a good article. Corellian PremierAll along the watchtower 17:33, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

  • Well to continue with your "Raid on the Solleu River" example, the Layout Guide says there should be a section about the battle, not that it has to be called "The battle." I believe the aftermath section needs to have more information than 'they left and fought more later,' especially if the last sentence of the previous section already said they left. I'll ask someone on the AgriCorps about that. Please note that none of the articles from the Starfighter series that I have edited recently are completely sourced, which is something that needs to be done before they are nominated for Good Article status or Featured Article status. Also, I know am not the best at editing, but I know that not every single thng I do is wrong. If you find something wrong with my edits, please change only what is wrong with them or tell me what I did wrong. TheAinMAP 13:14, July 21, 2010 (UTC)
  • Certainly. I guess I overanalyzed the layout guide, but thats what is keeping back my GA noms. Will you be putting up the Starfighter articles for GA soon? Also, I reverted your article to Nod Kartha because you made a number of changes to the article, without bringing them up on the FA nomination page. Corellian PremierAll along the watchtower 13:39, July 21, 2010 (UTC)

AftermathEdit

Well, try to add information for an aftermath section. Just a sentence or two will work if there's nothing else relevant; just try to include anything that happens as a result of the battle, and whatever else you see as necessary. Chack Jadson (Talk) 01:11, July 29, 2010 (UTC)

  • Hey, sorry this is a few days late. In that case, you can remove the aftermath section. If there's vritually no info available, that section doesn't have to be added. Chack Jadson (Talk) 23:48, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

Star Wars Starfighter Edit

As you seem to be the resident expert on the video game, I figured I'd run something by you. I created an article from a character from mission 13, Unidentified Naboo resistance fighter. I checked the credits of the game, and practically the only woman VA is Grey DeLisle, who is credited as "Bravo 8." Would that mean the resistance fighter (in charge of the outpost) is actually Bravo 8? Corellian PremierAll along the watchtower 19:48, August 27, 2010 (UTC)

  • Well Grey DeLisle isn't the only voice actress as there are Lisa Fuson and Bernadette Sullivan too. As for the resistance fighter, I think it sounds like she is voiced by DeLisle since the fighter sounds like Bravo 8 and a similar sounding person on Rescue 2 (also voiced by DeLisle), but, unfortunatly, there is not enough to prove they are the same character. TheAinMAP 00:01, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

Bolvan and Hija Edit

Hi! You have added ANH junior novel to Hija and Bolvan. Could you tell me, whether their dialog differs from the film or from the Foster/Lucas novel? Are there any new info about Bolvan or Hija in the Junior novel? Darth Morrt 15:28, October 2, 2010 (UTC)

  • Their dialogue is exactly the same as the film's. I think the junior novel follows the script quite a bit. The scene is short enough that I can just type it here for you.

The ejected pod did not go unnoticed by the Imperials. On board the Devastator, the chief pilot saw the pod's image streak across his main viewscreen. The chief pilot said, "There goes another one."

But the Devastator's captain had already checked his sensor scopes and ordered, "Hold your fire. There's no life-forms. It must have short-circuited."

Battle of Nod Kartha Edit

Hello there, I just wanted to check if you had any interest in re-nominating Battle of Nod Kartha for FA status yourself. Corellian PremierAll along the watchtower 15:43, December 21, 2010 (UTC)

  • Yes, I was just thinking about that. TheAinMAP 03:06, December 22, 2010 (UTC)

Categorization Edit

When categorizing images, please alphabetize them correctly, by character last name, not first name. And words like "the" in Category:Images from the Clone Wars are alphabetized by C for Clone Wars, not T the the. Thank you. - JMAS Jolly Trooper Hey, it's me! 03:04, January 8, 2011 (UTC)
