Userboxes Edit

Hi. I've never done a custom userbox for anyone (aside from one done as a joke), but I have some experience at dealing with them and I enjoy making them, so I'll send a couple of designs along in a couple of days. If you'd like, I can help walk you through the process after I've come up with them. Welcome to Wookieepedia, my new friend. Oh, and do you have any preferences as to color or image used? • Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but I've kinda gone to ground for the last few weeks. Nothing major, like hiding from the law or anything, just went a little nuts and needed a break from everything, but I should be around regularly again now. Jwebb13HoloNet30px 13:50, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
    • I'll probably start work in a couple of days here. Thanks for checking up on me. Jwebb13HoloNet30px 23:53, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

My FanonEdit

Any comments on my Fanon article? What I wrote is the basis for a huge story I'm working on. TheNewDarthMalevlent(The Sith shall rise to power!) 17:12, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

  • hey, I've been on Wookieepedia for awhile, but never really been interested in creating a signature...until now. I was just curious, I've created a signature here but was wondering if you knew how to have it linked to my actual sig when I sign my name somewhere? I am asking since I noticed you had a sig. Thanks for your time, Greyman 14:58, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
    • Hey man, nevermind...I figured it out. Cheers! Greyman(Paratus) 15:38, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Yeah how do you create your own signature? Darth Nezzera (Talk) 23:59, 23 September 2007(UTC)

  • Wikilawyering (which you can look up on Wikipedia, but external linking to there escapes me atm) is basically keeping the letter of the law while violating the spirit of it. A good case is someone who makes two reversions a day to an article- not a 3RR violation, but still breaking the spirit of the law. It's using the policy as means to suit an end, IIRC. Anyway, I don't know what your block was over. Atarumaster88 14:57, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
    • My instinct would be for you to log into the Wookiee IRC channel, which I am unable to do atm for techical reasons, and ask Darth Culator. My best guess is that it was for violating guestbook policy and then trying to use a loophole, instead of obeying the spirit of the policy, but don't quote me on that because that's just a guess. • I suspect that the "nonsense" was something about Super Happy Fun something User Page Project- which was what the participating admins referred to their usercruft purge as. There was a site notice about it a day in advance. They thought you were trying to evade the policy and so you got blocked. Unless it's really important, I suggest that you just let it go. Voting Edit

I'm sorry to do this, but to vote in things like Quote of the Day, you need at least 50 main namespace edits, per the Single issue voters decision. I think you can still nominate quotes and make commments, but you're not allowed to vote. -LtNOWIS 17:28, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

Checking in Edit

Hey, I'm just having a bit of a crap year (dog died, wife and I sick, family friction, etc.), so I haven't been around much. I'm getting my online SW fix mostly by contributing to an online text-based RPG on (Galaxy at War III: The Schism of the Sith), mainly because playing as an Emperor's Hand and getting to Force Choke people helps regulate my stress level. I'm sorry, but I don't know if I'm going to get a chance to do that userbox for you, but thanks a lot for checking up on me; I feel all special now.... ;) I'll still be around, just not quite as often, but I'll talk to you soon. Quote of the Day eligibility decision Edit

Message for Quote of the Day voters: beginning August 1, 2007, Quote of the Day will be implementing a decision that was voted on several months ago and recently brought to my attention. From that day forward, voters will need at least 50 edits to mainspace articles (meaning actual content articles) to have their votes counted. My review of QOTD history has identified you as a recurrent voter without the prerequisite mainspace edits. Although I personally find the above-mentioned decision too strict, I will be complying. Here's how the decision will be implemented:

  1. None of your votes cast prior to August 1 will be affected in any way.
  2. Any votes cast after August 1 will be crossed out and not counted, unless your account registers at least 50 mainspace edits.
  3. As soon as your account registers 50 mainspace edits, all of your votes will be retroactively included; any crossed out votes will be un-struck.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and I hope you continue to participate. In order to make article edits, any change, even a minor one, counts. You can spell-check, make formatting corrections, add sources, or make minor expansions. Large expansions and adding new canon articles is also appreciated. Enochf 16:00, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

  • Yup. It's easy to keep track here. Enter your username, and the relevant part is the "(Main)" at the top. Looks like you're currently at 20. Enochf 07:15, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Wookieepedian of the Month nomination Edit

  • I suppose now would be a good time to illustrate the humorous use of the {{USERNAME}} code. Try typing it in, and notice it displays like this: <insert name here>. Try looking at it after logging out, too. The nomination of {{USERNAME}} was an April Fool's joke. It's since been deleted. I fell for it once, too. ^_^ Thanks for the laugh. Enochf 23:58, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Hey, man, no problem at all. We've all fallen for it once or twice (sometimes more than once). Still one of my favorite templates on the 'pedia ;) <insert name here> 01:14, 3 April 2008 (UTC) (No, seriously, JorrelWiki-shrinkableFraajic :P)
